hey everyone

ever sat there and saw something and wished, that would make a good transformer alt form for a figure or wondered what a particular character would look like if they were in a different transformers toy line they aren't featured in.

well here is your chance, post your wish list for transformer bots that never came to be as figures.

i'll kick it off with my wishlist of figures

- more protoforms: i loved the protoform prime from the first movie and love the style of it, (not such a fan of the Starscream, pose-ability and color wise) but i'd love to more more of these protoforms, since we got treated to some in TF:ROTF. they're just so different and alien looking, just something very unique. having said that, maybe would even like to see what their Cybertron vehicle forms would look like before they reconfigure themselves back to protoforms for space travel.

- kitchen bots: more kitchen bots, i know we're getting the toaster, i heard about that and got excited, (sadly the execution of it, doesn't look so good) but those kitchen bots from the movie, i really do hope we get them all as figures because they were just crazy looking, so cool! i couldn't pick a fav out of them because they just look so funky!

- more movie vehicles given figures: like the first movie we got a few vehicles that weren't transformers but were featured as vehicles in the movie, i would really like to see more of that sort of thing. especially the different NEST vehicles. i hope bot modes are on the way for those.

- beast wars! - i was too young to really appreciate G1, so im the beast wars generation, so this is probably bias, but we havnt had a beast focused line for a long time. i seriously want to see beast wars done in movie style. i'd love to see primal, megs, cheetor, inferno with robot modes that reflect the style of the movies. as for beast modes, id be happy either the style of the first BW season so they look like real animals, or even beast modes that evoke that style we have seen in movie Ravage and Scorponok. either way, fantastic for me. that being said, i wanna see some beast combiners also done in movie style like the super awesome Devastator.

- Bus Transformer
- Taxi Transformer; we're gonna get one soon but not sure if it will come out here :(
- Train carriage TF; we've gotten lots of engines, esp. bullet trains, but no carriages! It should be compatible with either the G1 Trainbots but preferably the more recent Car Robot (RiD) Team Bullet Train TFs. T'would also be a good excuse to reuse those moulds too. ;) Would also be neat if the carriages could transform into add on armour or weapons for the JRX gestalt.
- BOTANICA!
- Wearable "Label" Transformers, like a real working watch that can transform... yes, an updated Time Warrior!
- More TF plushies please.

Why stop there? They could do all kinds of household and commercial appliances and machines as Transformers! I'd love to get a real proper Dispensor toy. And if they ever made a transforming couch, I think Sofaman would wet himself! :D

Character wise, Devcon, Emirate Xaaron.

More Classics/Henkei is always welcome, but I'd especially like to see the rest of the Stunticons and various other "combiner" characters (even if they don't combine).

Oh, and a Masterpiece Time Warrior.... :D

I'd like to see more Beasts, but really can't see that happening for many years. Beast Wars was a gamble and robotic forms of the past are now rightfully popular again.

But even so, I'd love to see the current Tfs engineers have a go at a new Black Arachnia. And before all you Animated fans chirp up, that model is nothing like it.

It really was amazing that the writers chose that model, and as such has never really been given a fair crack as a stand alone figure, even though she is so very similar to Tarantulas. I wouldn't mind if it came out as part of the Universe line as the new Cheetor and Dinobot did.

I'd love to see more BW statues in the same vein as the Hard Hero ones. I know they no longer have the rights to it, but to use Mainframes actual models is all I'm asking. Pretty Please.

My wish list? New characters please.

I'd like a new Autobot commander (leader class) toy (that isn't a truck or monkey and isn't a new version of Optimus Prime/Rodimus/Ultra Magnus) and a new Decepticon commander (leader class) toy (that isn't Megatron/Galvatron/Starscream)

I'd be happy with nearly everything that's already been mentioned, but I'd wish for new characters to be developed rather than constant repetition of G1 concepts.

A classics/Universe Springer that is a triple changer!

Bludgeon
Thunderwing- both of these need decent toys to represent how cool they are in the comics.
A universe Doubledealer (Why didn't Hasbro communicate with IDW and release him instead of Countdown in the Cyb Def Red Alert mould?:rolleyes:)

The other combiner teams (terrorcons, protectorbots etc) done in the universe/classics line... even if they don't combine.

If they do a Universe/Henkei Perceptor, I'd like to see him transform into a massive electron microscope instead of a little light microscope - that way he can potentially retain his relative mass during transformation and we wouldn't need to pretend that he mass-shunts when we play with the toy.

and as was mentioned a decent Universe Thunderwing and Bludgeon - with melee weapon. They wouldnt have to do much with bludgeon as the 2 pack Classics Megsy tank was perfect just replace with normal hand to hold the turret inbstead of the turret being the hand. A blade coming out from the turret like scrapmetal for his sword and a new head remold to look like the one in Stormbringer. Viola Universe Bludgeon! Of course theyd have to make a decent pretender shell as well.

Seriously though, any sort of large sauropod, real or chimeric. Bonus points for being kinda based off a Zoid one, like the Seismosaurus or Ultrasaurus. Extra bonus points if he's a Seismosaurus complete with cannon in the mouth for particle cannon/flamethrower of doom weapon

Its a Movie one, announced at Botcon, however they said it was being designed to kinda fit in with the Classics/Universe style as well. He turns into a tank and... That's all I know about him. He probably won't be getting Henkei'd therefore, because he's in the movie line

And man, the Squad is all about those three Pretenders, the two well known Double Targetmasters, and Thunderwing :p

But i reckon Autobot Jazz will most likely be the next uni. deluxe toy, he appears in movie 2007 ,Animated and has a universe 2.0 legends toy, all the signs indicate it :D

as a beast bot fan, hell yes to mythological transformers, but what interests me more is ww1 and ww2 transformers done movie style would be super awesome! im a fan of ransack and especially a fan of out the ordinary alt modes such as the biplane.

couple years back a kitbasher used beast wars figs and other bits n pieces to make a mythology based transformers set. transmythics he called it. mite want to google it see if his site is still around. he had some real interesting stuff. lots of potential in the mythology alt modes

i just picked up ROTF Long Haul, and i tell ya, to add to the wishlist, after seeing just how much they ramped up the complexity of transformations between the 1st and 2nd movie, i really want to see Hasbro really pushing the envelope when it comes to transformations, i want to see new and interesting ways of transforming figures without limiting their robot pose-ability and display look.

easy comparison is the prime from both movies, the level of improvement in that figure is amazing and shows just how much the transformation can improve a figure etc.

i really disliked the animated series for a few reasons, such as they look too childish and the transformations are too simple, and in my opinion it was like they took a giant leap backwards in transformer toy technology. but thats what i just think. what about you guys?

I think in all the different lines, there's going to be at least a little something for everyone, and strictly limiting yourself based on an over-arching opinion is kind of silly. Animated and ROTF have both excellent and shitty toys so either way you'd be missing out on some cool stuff, even taking into account personal preference for complex transformations, style etc.

Personally i think variety is one of the strong points of the Transformers brand, so i have no problem with Animated catering to a younger audience - or with ROTF having 'alien' robots ... and will welcome whatever surprises might be in store next!

I agree with that for the most part. Aside from the style, Animated, in my opinion, didn't really bring much of anything new or interesting to the table. There were a couple of innovative molds and concepts (such as Activators) but that's about it.

if you look at animated from a totally engineering perspective, and compare that with the engineering involved with the tf:movie line and even the classics/universe line, animated was a step backwards.

if you look at animated from a totaly visual aspect, and look at the level of detail involved in the animated figures and compare that with the previous few lines, the level of detail has increased so much, but then animated took a leap backwards with that.

i saw a repaint/remold custom of animated optimus prime the one that came in the 2 pack with megatron, the customizer added so much detail to it and it looked very very awesome. it had battle damage and great lines and added details, so why couldnt hasbro do that. i dont know. but all in all i really do hope hasbro continue to push the level of engineering and detailing in figures like they have with TF:ROTF since the first movie.

Now that Hasbro has the Lamborghini licence back I really wish that they would make a Titans Return Sunstreaker with the Titan Master modelled after Hunter O'Nion. And naturally they could retool/redeco it as Sideswipe and maybe even retool his Titan Master as Verity Carlo (in the armour that she wore in The Last Stand of the Wreckers).

Well, speaking for myself, I'd really like to see the rest of the Monsterbots done in deluxe Titans Return form. And then have them used as remolds for the Decepticon Headmaster Junior/1988 Headmaster form.

Repugnus remold into Squeezeplay.

Grotusque into Fangry, possibly Horri-Bull as well. Alternately a Horri-Bull mold could be used for a different character/different characters - say a Snarler, with a Wolfwire redeco/remold into Carnivac.

I'm sure there's more recent versions of this thread, but while we're here...

The most conspicuous absence in the Titans Return line are the (non-movie) Autobot Targetmasters Pointblank, Crosshairs and Sureshot. Bring them on as retools of each other or other car robots, whatever is needed.

I'd also like the Monsterbots and Horrorcons too of course but at least Repugnus and Apeface got token Titan Master toys, these three guys have got nothing yet.

^Agree 100%. I got Slugslinger today so now I have all of the 1987 Targetmasters in CHUG form. But Kup, Blurr and Hot Rod are the only Autobots. :(

I just want Hasbro and Takara to keep filling in the gaps in the CHUG lineup until we have a good representation of every G1 cartoon character (and a the major toy only ones also from the same years). After the PotP toys that have been leaked there will only be 27 characters missing.

I have the Legends class tank Frenzy/Rumble 2 pack TT put out a few years back and I'm very happy with them so I don't need them done as cassettes.

Meh. I don't care about TR Rumble let alone TR Frenzy cos I already have United Rumble and Frenzy. I mean, I don't object to TR Rumble and I wouldn't object to Hasbro making TR Frenzy either but... just don't care either way. :p

The appeal is in the Soundwave. We have a tape deck for the first time in years. So any of the tapes become interesting. It seems really odd that they made four of the first five but stopped a simple repaint short.

That's fine, but he doesn't make my list like I said I like the United 2 pack (thanks Gok for reminding me where those two are from) so yeah he doesn't make my list. If I had my say Soundwave and Blaster would have actually been Voyager size which would kill the cassette gimmick.
