Alternity Bumblebee preorder at BBTS

I just noticed this listed on BBTS. Is the Alternity line going to expand into something worth collecting or do you think it will die before they release enough characters?

This may be the first Alternity I pick up, unless I shell out for the SIlver Convoy I want and maybe the Megatron.

Bee will look very nice next to my Alternators. Good scale.

Yeah I must admit he is a bit squareish compared to his significantly more sleek looking counterparts, but its hard to dismiss the appeal of a collector aimed Bumblebee toy.

I rather like that red and black Megatron repaint to. granted he doesn't look much like Megs, but he does look like a sinister Decepticon Samurai guy in those colours.

Alternities are Deluxe size which would make Alternity Bumblebee about the size of his cartoon character model when next to the normal BTs in robot mode.

Why did they have to stop Binaltech anyway? Alternaties cost just as much it seems.

I would have agreed before Alternity came out, but since then, i'm favouring the smaller size, nicer proportions, higher detail, and even the lack of diecast on the bodies, surprisingly! Much less chance of damage.

I was also against the change in scale but these little bots are great.
They also take up a lot less room.

I'm still not happy about the side change, especially now that HA figures are 1:24. :mad:

I have a Diamond Black Megatron order with HLJ, you can jump in if you like but you would only save on some shipping cost.

Yeah they look good, but comming in the wake of Binaltech which first showed us what could be done on the collectors level there is not as much impetus for me to collect more cars. Now if they did a jet or tank series.......

Yeah it looks pretty short and squat in those pics.

I suspect its because the legs are bent at the knees, giving the illusiong of chunky-ness.,

If they could some how extend the upper thighs a bit the way it was done for masterpiece starscream, i thnk we might ahve a winner.

Both are listed as "red" but that's probably a typo.
