Subject says it all. I suspect this is because of Target's sale.

Will they also reduce Voyagers? In the last sale they had reduced everything including deluxe and Leaders but Voyagers were still $49.95

I notice the catalogue is full of "Price Match" promises with fine print back page notes about matching prices for advertised identical items.

Brilliant news for me because K-Mart here finally got in some Jetfires, so now I don't have to stress about getting to Target before work on Thursday.

"price promise"
"If you find a cheaper price we'll match it"
"At Kmart we guarantee to match the advertised price on any identical stocked item. It's another way we're helping to deliver great value every day. Does not include clearance, online or warehouse offers."

Does anyone recall Kmart sale prices starting late on Wednesday nights (like the Big W prices did for their recent toy sale?)

They always start late Wed. After 10 o'clock. The exception though was with this year's toy sale. And even after midnight they didn't scan properly. This continued throughout the sale too.
I suspect that it (the non-scanning thing that needed to be overrided) had to do with them minimising the issue of price-matching as last year, there was a rampant run on them throughout the sale. What makes this a strong hypothesis is that on the night most staff were confused but afterwards on other days, most had learnt all you need to do is press a button and didn't need to call for managers.

Hmm. Interesting. Fountain Gate Kmart is open until Midnight tonight so it may be worth me going there to find Jetfire.

I don't think that was an exception, just a f*** up. Kmart seems to always bring in new pricing at 10pm the night before. Unfortunately, Reservoir closes at 9 PM before re-opening at midnight. Maybe it's worth a trip up there at 8 PM just to be sure?
