I was just thinking, what with so many Pinkimus's floating around shelf-warming and since Tony Martin has shown us destroying them is funny, they could make a TV show solely devoted to trashing Pinkimus Primes (or any other crappy shelf-warmer) in new and innovative ways. Tony has already done "Try to ride them like a retard on roller-skates", but how would you trash Pinky (or his unloved contemporaries) for TV?
I'm assuming an unlimited budget and whatever facilities you like here, and bonus points for irony and/or potential for amusing injuries to the destroyer.

I would create a ramp to roll pinkimus down with a powerful blender at the bottom.

I would replicate Megatron's Master Plan and fire Pinkimus Primes - cab, trailer and all - using an air cannon... into the sun.

Obviously they wouldn't make it to the sun, so the fun is in seeing where they land and just how smashed up they are when they do.

Truth be told I wouldn't. It may not be the most attractive toy in the world, but trashing it may give Hasbro the wrong impression.

yeah it wouldn't surprise me if they think its the best release of G1 Prime ever and trashing it would mean that people don't like the character any more and want someone hip like Drift to be the leader of the Autobots.

Buy every Pinkimus I could find and dump it on Aaron Archer's front lawn. ;)

I like this idea!

I have an idea, how about we don't buy them so retailers end up trashing them anyway at a financial loss.

Last thing i want is for them to keep producing poor quality overpriced figures because they think they can snare a part of the 'idiots who like to destroy toys' market.

That's what I've been doing so far! :)

Perhaps if I had unlimited funds I could hire the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or if they're too morally uprighteous, the Foot Clan) to steal them and then do nefarious things to them. ;)

Pinkimus is not that bad a toy and is a fine replacement for people who can't buy an Encore or other reissue version of the classic figure. The shade of Red's not perfect and it's a poor show the local version doesn't have all the extras the US one does.

But why reveal in the destruction of a Transformer toy? I just don't get it.

Fix'd! :)

Don't forget the shortened smokestacks and ridiculous looking oversized missiles! The colours on the trailer are also lighter than on the original G1 toy.

I would never revel in the destruction of a TF toy, not even an Animorph -- hence my suggestion of just dumping them on Archer's lawn (after they've been stolen by ninjas of course). :p

I'm not suggesting people actually do it, for the exact reasons you state. Also, $70 for something just to trash it is a bit much IMO.

But why reveal in the destruction of a Transformer toy? I just don't get it.1: TF-wise I'm a Decepticon at heart 'cos mindless destruction is fun, 2: It's a substandard reissue of a character which should have been much better and is just wasting space atm, and 3: it's a semi-proactive response to the stepping-on-Pinky stunt on Talkin' 'Bout My Generation.
Also I was interested to see what sort of ideas people would come up with, and which shelf-warmers they'd use. It's a variant on a game my best friends and I would play in uni where we'd buy $2 garden gnomes and belt them with bokken to let off steam...juvenile yes, but great fun.

Haha...reminds me of something me and my mates did as preteens. We'd get cheap teddys from Toyworld and torture, amputate, flaggellate and burn them. Then we'd have a funeral and burial and make a little grave with tombstone etc.
God that was fun.:D

We should pool all the pikimus we can get our hands one and make a giant Optimus simply by gluing them all together. we could then sell the sculpture for more then we paid. win win

Considering there is 10000 re-issues of G1 Optimus, I have no issues with a poor reissue being broken. There are plenty of better reissues on eBay for the same price as a retail Pinkimus.

Pinkimus Prime is great. I own one. Looks a lot better than most (maybe all) of the ROTF rubbish that has come out.
