Has anyone else noted this or any other inconsistency in the movie

I've just been watching the animated movie, which I've watch over 150 times at least and noted a rather interesting discrepancy in the animation.

When the Decepticons are being reformatted by Unicron,Shrapnel has been reformatted as one of the Sweeps,Second on the left.... Why is it later on you Shrapnel in his original form on Junkion fighting the Autobots.:confused::confused:.I know the cartoons where pretty shocking for it, but i didn't thing the movie was that bad..

Edit, I thought it was Bombshell, accurately it was Shrapnel...sorry for the confusion if anyone has read this thread yet..

The number of errors in Transformers The Movie is very widely known and well documented. Zobovor has a web site here (http://zobovor.tripod.com/transformers_the_movie_bloopers.html) which he first set up in 1998 that very comprehensively documents all the bloopers. The Chris McFeeley DVD audio commentary also points them out too and now there are numerous sites which document all the mistakes and oddities in that movie such as TF (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/The_Transformers:_The_Movie#Animation_Errors)
wiki (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/The_Transformers:_The_Movie#Continuity_errors) et al.

So yeah, it's nothing new. :)

For a lot of the older/longtime fans knowing and spotting these problems is part of the fun of rewatching the original movie. :)

One Zobovor missed: when Hot Rod is piloting the Quintesson ship down to the Junkion planet it spins around as it moves (which isn't totally unreasonable for a species with omnidirectional vision), but the view from the cockpit is fixed forward despite the ship's rotation.

Or like when Star Wars fans watch that Stormtrooper smacks his head on the opening door on the Death Star in Episode IV -- a tradition that was intentionally carried over in Episode II when Jango Fett similarly smacked his head while boarding the Slave I! (suggesting that the old Death Star Stormtrooper might've been an old* Jango clone carrying his genetic defect?)

(*remember that the clones have accelerated aging! He was probably legally blind. Would explain their crappy aim :p)

No error here. The Decepticon ranks had numerous Insecticon clones as shown in different episodes.

No error here. The bridge stayed stationary to it's relative position while the exterior of the ship spun, giving the impression that the ship in it's entirety was spinning. Either that or the bridge was equipped with a compensatory view screen.
