Anyone write any fanfic here? There was phoenix from our old boards but she hasn't posted much since. I'm quite inclined to read good fanfic as it's hard to find. I'm planning on writing some myself. I've toyed with drawing a comic but hell, that's just too much work. In the time it'd take me to draw a page, I'd have at least 1/2 a story done.

Here's some fanfic I highly recommend:

Transformers 2.0

It's a great twist on the original G1 cartoon. It's advanced a lot more logical progressions to the Autobot arrival on Earth as well as gives the characters a great lot of layers. It also let's Sideswipe and Sunstreaker shine. Recommended!

I plot a lot of fanfic, but seldom complete it.

The only two stories I've ever "published" are:

Road Rage (http://www.transformersfanfic.com/index.php?view=PublicSubmission%2FBody&categoryType=library&publicsubmission_id=1473)

and

Arcee McBeal (http://groups.google.com/group/alt.toys.transformers.fanfic/browse_thread/thread/a741cea1aa31c026/f3f62e793cdd1d0a?lnk=st&)

Check out The Lexicon (http://www.transformersfanfic.com/) for all things TF fanficky! :D

I particularly liked Arcee McBeal, Paulbot. A bit of wit, a bit of fun mixed with some great TF lore. The dialogue was really good.

Road Rage wasn't as good but I got one hell of a Marvel G1 vibe from it. Its been years since I've even touched those comics but this issue brought back so many memories. I do think the dialogue was weaker though.

Yeah I've browsed Lexicon, Gok (found one of your old reviews there too lol), but it really is a mixed bag.

Thanks STL. When I looked over those stories before posting the links I kept finding things that I wanted to edit, update or improve... but I decided I may as well post the links as they were already "published" works. One of the reasons I never finish Fanfic is I'm never happy with it as a finished product and always want to make changes.

And yes Road Rage is supposed to have a Marvel G1 vibe to it, it's a replacement for the (sort of out of canon) Headmasters story in UK 130/131 and the ending to the Mechanic's story arc that was left dangling. :)

A friend of mine who I'm trying to convince to join this board wrote a really good fan fic on Prowl. I'll email her to get the link.

Anyone with anything to recommend, please do.

I still have to say that Transformers v2.0 above is absolutely amazing. I would love this guy writing at IDW. Hell, if he published novels I'd be all over them. I just joined up TFW2005 just to say how good he is. He -is- that good.
