Non-HasTak Toy Acquisitions

As described in the title, this thread is for posting all acquisitions for toys that aren't made by Hasbro or Takara (and obviously not Transformers).

Now I don't know if mods want to merge other non-TF toy acquisition threads with this one or not, but in any case, here are links to other non-TF toy acquisition threads:

The Non-TF Acquisitions thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=27) has been doing its job perfectly fine. Yes, it is currently in the Non-toy stuff section but it has its origin in the big Non-Transformers Section before it got split into the current 4 subsections. Due to the history of the thread and the habits of other members who continue to post their toy acquisitions there, I don't see any need for the creation of this new thread.

On the other hand, other members have been happy with the individual threads you listed here. These individual threads have had enough members interested in them to be sustained as separate threads. I don't see the need to merge them into this or any other thread at all.

Your new Non-TF Hasbro/TakaraTOMY acquisitions thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=119061) is acceptable but other members should be allowed to continue their discussions in the older separate threads. They will also be allowed to start a new thread on a specific Hasbro/TakaraTOMY series/toy if the topic deserves to be sustained as a separate thread.

We had a new member posting a non-TF acquisition in the July TF Acquisitions thread. Because the non-TF acquisitions thread is in the non-toy section I think s/he didn't think to look there. We know it's there because we know the history of the board, but perhaps from a new member's POV who aren't aware of the history, they may not be aware of that thread nor think to check the section clearly labelled "Non-Toy Stuff" and defined as being "for everything else that is NOT toy related."

I'm all for keeping things in existing threads rather than starting new ones, so is there a way we can help direct new members to the non-TF acquisitions thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=27)?

Suggestions:
+ Can we also have a link in this (All Other Toys) section pointing to that thread?
+ Could the name and/or description for the "Non-Toy Stuff" sub-section be modified?

You could/should have made a suggestion to the mods via PM, instead of starting two new threads yourself and suggesting to merge other people's threads into your new ones.

Your new suggestions are good (and I believe the first one might be easier to implement). The other mods will have a discussion on this.

The existing non-TFs topic has been renamed to 'non-toys' topic, as it was correctly pointed out by Kyle, that it was started when we only had the one non-TFs section.
As such, a new 'non-TFs toy' topic for all other toylines that don't yet have its own topic has been started up.

And as Kyle suggested, please don't just go and try to manage the running of the board without consulting the board staff first.
If something bugs you or needs to be fixed up, let us know and we will (eventually) get onto fixing it. Some stuff just escapes our/my attention if we/I don't use it ourselves.
