Got a few more Marvel action figures for cheap. I got the Sabretooth from Vert (thanks mate) and the Kraven for $2 bucks at the Penrith fair the other day. It actually had $3 on it but when i went to pay the guy said $2 is enough. It was still on the card. Score. I am really digging the affordability of the 90's Marvel action figures. I don't think i have paid more than $4 for one yet:D.

I went a bit silly buying those old Kaiyodo Evangelions this weekend. Got Units 02, 03, 04, and a Mass Production Unit. With the Units 00 and 01 I have back in Australia I now have one of all of them.
Now to try and find 8 more Mass Production types:rolleyes:...even here in Japan they're pretty rare.

Oh, and a jutte just for the hell of it.

They've been going utterly gang-busters up your way from all reports, but I have heard that restocks are slowly filtering up through the US so hopefully Canada isn't too far behind man. ;)

Oh man, that is so awesome - Tetsujin is THE original Super Robot of whom I'm hoping to track down an Anime that features him as I just love that old-school design aesthetic he embodies & of which inspired SO many others like Getter Robo (The original combiner), Mazinger & Giant Robo. :D

You're a very lucky bugger man. I do hope you'll take some photos of him as I'd love to see them. ;)

Very nice, they look great together. The Banpresto figures were only ever available in import shops here (can occasionally still find them) for ridiculous prices, so if you've gotten them online for a good deal, you've done better than buying them when the show was on!

Even though I have the complete set (bar ultra rares) I bought a heap of unopened Booster and Senzu packs for the Cell Games saga for the old DBZ CCG. For the price I paid, I only needed to get half a dozen foils to make it worth it, halfway through I've got 8 foils, but no Ultra rares!

At this point of time I only own the Torosaurus dude :o; I've owned the odd dinosaur or so from Dino-Riders as a kid but they were always missing the guns & armour. :(

It has been a grail of mine since I was about 4 to one day own a nigh complete T-Rex & Krulos set (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHpKHjezIsU), Torosaurus is my 1st step towards that goal but one of my old school friend's elder siblings owned the Diplodocus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDeWs3MXIYU)! - That thing was absolutely epic in size & playability; what's scary though is that apparently the Brontosaurus (http://youtu.be/ItBIrfVwUWY?t=1m5s) figure was even larger!

Anyone know about the battletoad toys? People seem to be asking lots for them on ebay (the 2 on there)?

Getting my Chogokin goin' OOOOOOOOnnnnn! That's right ladies and Gentlemen, Mehc Godzilla in all his blasting glory. Not quite the kick ass 70s version I hope for, but a pretty damn fine example of him nonetheless. I'd say my second favourite version of MechaGodzilla! Fully articulated, but the sculpt pretty much relegates him to being a slightly moveable statue.:o Love his accessories and HEFT! Godzilla is complete, but he has a bunch of additional tail spikey doodads on a sprue, which I couldn't be bothered putting on yet.

Also bagged Panthro thanks to the Reject shop. Woot!

Not sure if this is in the right section but here goes.....

Picked up a heap of PS3 games from various TRUs in Perth for $15 and under. They are getting rid of all their Xbox and PS3 stuff as they 'can't compete' with the likes of EB Games so I was told. Anyway, managed to get War For Cybertron, DOTM, ROTF and the first one, plus heaps of other titles.

Should be Australia wide?

Now all I need is a PS3 Console.:D

That appears to be the diaclone version of the Egg Bot
(http://tfu.info/1998/Cybertron/EggRobo/eggrobo.htm). Called "Meteor Robo" It appears you have "Metal Man" (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Micro_Change). (scroll down about halft way to 1984)

Very nice find there. They were also released during the Kiss PLayers line as the Sparkbots.

Digging the Magnetic Astroboy too! Very retro awesome! Colour me impressed.

I have purchased the figure that is called by the name of Krang from the series that is about the ones called turtles that wish to be known as teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Nice detailed figure for under $15. The Krang itself is squishy but unable to be removed from the stomach of the robot. Only downside is that the knees look jointed but are not, leaving only one real pose for the figure to be left in. Not a well balanced toy. It cannot be that difficult to create toys that can stand fairly balanced if there are no joints.

Wa ha ha ha! Nicely put.

The elbows don't bend either, which sucks as they (and the knees as you said) both look like they have joint in them. I blame the lack of balance on his 'action pose' feet.
Kraang does come out of the body though. (http://lh4.ggpht.com/-CwbxjqIP36U/UETf1_xAMUI/AAAAAAAAVFg/YpmPJ4f4yIQ/s1600-h/Kraang-283.jpg)

I also got these miscellaneous fellows:

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Wootnchoo/IMG_2205_zps4ba838e0.jpg

Lessee, 6 Inch Mumm-Ra of the classics look, shame he is going to be smaller than my 8 inch Lion-O, Oh, I guess its a good thing I have that bloody huge statue that glows in the dark!;)

Sonic and Shadow armoured versions of them from the Sonic and the Black Knight game, which I never played, but if these guys were on the cover I might have. As an added Bonus, 'Sonic Excalibur' has a glow in the dark blade! Woo Woooooo!

And the coup de grace, A microman version of the the Gachaman red guy, Ken the eagle, which I know 1orion2many wants, but so do I (sorry man :o). I have been chasing this dude since Kicker came from Microman in the Superlink years and I first learnt of them. He is from the Micro-action series (I think) and was released in conjunction with the PS1 game Tatsunoko Fight, and there are Hurricane Polymar, Tekkaman, Casshern and Volta version in Microman as well. I'd like to find the Casshern now as well.

Believe it or not, Jetta Marus was drawn by Osamu tezuka, who dod Astroboy as well. Easy to believe i think. He even has a very small cameo in the incredibly awesome GBA game of Astroboy: The Omega factor.

A little bit hard to find infomation on him, other than Wikipeadia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jetter_Mars)

On Monday, the latest weapon in Law Enforcement arrived... from the 80s :p, in NECA Toys 7" Robocop:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BQfg4uwCIAAjL_Q.jpg:large

He has issues, like most NECA figures he has hampered articulation but because this IS Robocop it's almost forgiven...

He Has Glaring Thigh Gaps That Both Baffle And Infuriate. :(
It bugs me that his feet has ratchets with only 3 positions!
His feet, due to how they're molded, have an outward tilt facing the opposite direction to how feet work!?! so many poses become off-balanced.
His arms NEED Bicep/Elbow swivels, it's a crucial absence that really negates many of his trademark upper body postures & poses.

He is mostly redeemed in profile shots though, which is good considering I have NECA's ED-209 due to arrive in September & the two WILL be battling on my shelf more often than not :D:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BQfhfifCYAAqhK_.jpg:large

He is not a ninja nor gymnast, so I never expected this figure to be able to pull off Roundhouse Kicks etc. but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was slightly disappointed in the fact that he's unable to achieve all the poses he could in the movies. :o

That said this is the best iteration that NECA has done to date (This is the Thigh-Compartment version ;):)) and it is a fantastic sculpt with brilliant paint apps and heft.

Leopoldon is Spiderman's mega robot. After Toei had enough success (or fun) with GoRanger and JackQ, they acquired the rights to Marvel characters in Japan. With that they made a Japanese show of Spiderman, were Spidey got his Spider powers from aliens and was given a massive spaceship to command called the Marvellor. It was essentially a power rangers show, but only with Spiderman (as far as I have watched [ep. 3]) and he jumps in and drives the robot.

The next Sentai show (Battle Fever) was inspired by Spiderman and Lepoldon was the first of the Giant robot suits that Toei made. GoRanger and JackQ only had vehicles for their characters. I believe that the original toy was recoloured and released in blue for those outside of Japan, sans Spiderman. I think in the shogun warriors line, but I haven't been able to successfully find a link yet.:o Apparently the Leopardon suit was really hard for the actor to move in and got so damaged/stolen (conflicting reports) that they had to resort to using stock footage of its attacks and rarely did you see it interacting with his enemies. I love it when there is a good story behind a figure!

Quite a few eps of Spiderman are on youtube (YAY) Here's a link to the first one:

It is definitely Motoko in her riot-gear, there's no mistaking her ;); the articulation is very "different", which as you know :D, is what CM's Corp is known for and it takes some getting used to but she definitely achieves most if not everything that she's supposed to. ;)

Nice! - I hear word they're the better alternative to NECA's current offerings. ;):)Any idea how the NECA offerings scale with the Revoltech ones?
I was originally going to just stick with my 2 Revoltech Aliens (Drone and Warrior), but with the Figuarts one it looks like I'm building up a hive...if the NECA ones scale alright with the RT ones and I find some I might nab one or two of those too.

Now I just need to find somewhere new to put Figma Samus, she's been posed fighting the 2 Revoltech Aliens for a while but it looks like they'll be getting their own display space now.

EDIT - Nevermind, saw some today while out with valkyrie_76. The NECA ones are too big for my purposes.

So, today's haul:
2 Sota Toys Street Fighter figures: Vega and Sakura. Bought because they were fairly cheap, I like the characters, and because I didn't realise the damage I was going to do to my budget today at the time...
1x reissue Figma Samus, for one of my best friends in Oz.
1x Sci-Fi Revoltech Alien, for another of my best friends. He's quite a Giger fan.
And a McFarlane Movie Maniacs 6 Queen Alien. She was pricey, but man is she big and beautiful...since it looks like I'm putting a hive together I figure a decent Queen is called for.
Dunno what it is, but valkyrie_76 visiting seems to prompt a round of Aliens-themed wallet pain.

Would it be a bad time now to tell that NECA will be releasing a brand new Alien Queen late this year/early next? :o

Blimey! - Sounds like you're wallet received one helluvan infestation indeed! :D

Would it be a bad time now to tell that NECA will be releasing a brand new Alien Queen late this year/early next? :oYeah...it was a good set of end-of-school-year shopping trips, but I might take it easy on the hobby shop trips for the next couple of months. I imagine by the time MP Wheeljack is out my wallet should have recovered nicely...;)
Truth be told most of the damage came from picking up 2 versions of the MP Soundwave mold within a week. Well worth it IMO but big MP molds are kind of a long-term investment collection-wise.

Possibly not the best time for more xenomorph news - valkyrie let slip that there's a zero suit Samus figma coming out, so that's another thing on the already-long-and-expensive shopping list - but the NECA offerings are too big to work with the Revoltech ones and I'm pretty happy with my new Queen. She apparently can do with some upper-torso support for sheer weight (she's ~2 feet long  ) and she's not up there with my various smaller-scale Aliens in terms of articulation, but she's a work of art and she also comes with a human set piece with a chest-burster gimmick.:D The only feature I really would have liked that isn't included is opening jaws - having a fixed closed mouth seems like kind of a wasted opportunity on McFarlane toys' part.

Yeah...it was a good set of end-of-school-year shopping trips, but I might take it easy on the hobby shop trips for the next couple of months. I imagine by the time MP Wheeljack is out my wallet should have recovered nicely...;)
Truth be told most of the damage came from picking up 2 versions of the MP Soundwave mold within a week. Well worth it IMO but big MP molds are kind of a long-term investment collection-wise.

A pair of Masterpiece Soundwaves is a perfectly acceptable excuse in my eyes, so I hope you're digging 'em. :D

Yeah it's to my understanding that the NECA figures are substantially larger in mass compared to that of Revoltech's - I can't say I've ever seen the McFarlane Queen in-person however but everything I've heard is that she's a sizeable & hefty beast. ;):)
The chest bursting gimmick sounds sweet but I've got to say that the lack of an opening maw, along with pharyngeal jaws, is rather baffling? - They're so intrinsic to her majesty!:o

Still, I should like to see photos eventually of the hive you've amassed  - NECA is still yet to even reveal prototype pictures of their upcoming matriarch, of whom is apparently meant to be in-scale with their current Xenomorph offerings!

Anyway, I managed to find a cheap (~$12) loose NECA 2005 alien yesterday. Even besides one of the arms snapping off when I tried to move it - probably more to do with being pre-owned than a mold fault per se - I wasn't really impressed. Posability wasn't great, especially the ankles and wrists, and it was way too big for my purposes. The way they've done the joints didn't really work with the molding detail either. I hear they've gotten better posability-wise since then, but yeah...think I'll be sticking to smaller, more poseable offerings.

Got this a while ago. I'm not really into anime, nothing really against it just never made time for it, but that show was one of the biggest mindf*cks ever and I always like that brief, ominous glimpse you get of the first Angel. So finally found one of these at a reasonable price, the MOSC fans among you will probably hate me for this but it was so reasonable I'm still considering opening it....

Vintage B-Wing fighter. These are my favourite Star Wars fighter and I needed something to fill the last space in my cabinet. I banned myself from collecting Star Wars vehicles but I have wanted one of these since I was a kid so made an exception.

That comes with the big gun from the first movie, right? Really wish I didn't have to buy another version (this time from #3) to get an accessory from the first film!

How's the figure, anyway - besides articulation?

It is the first NECA figure I've purchased. The sculpt and paint apps are excellent. I like the blue colour with hints of purple. The paint on the figure is slightly greasy/oily. Robo has the gun holster feature which is neat and works fairly well. The holster is somewhat fragile.

The 'Cobra Assault Cannon' from the first film is a nice flat black colour, as is the 'gun arm' from Robocop 3. The gun arm needs the hot water trick before it will fit. The jet pack is nicely detailed and mostly looks the part. The jet pack's arm attachments could do with another ball-joint. Again another articulation issue.

Overall the figure is nice on display but not as easy to pose as I thought it would be. I also thought the figure would be way less than 7" because Robocop seems fairly short in the movies :)

I don't know why, but i am a RockLord fan.:o
I just love the way we are expected to play with rocks just cause they transform. Its like in the movie Big when Tom Hanks looks at a building transformer and says 'I dont get it?'
I don't get it either, but i love em!!
This thing was found on Ebay for a BIN which was awesomely cheap. So i grabbed that sucker before another sick soul like mine did:D
