Animated Blackout & Animated Thundercracker

Blackout is looking excellent I must say. The homage to the movie version is great and thankfully the initial promo pcitures from SDCC with his hand having the circular back rotor as a hand is really a detachable weapon to reveal his hands on both arms. The bot mode is menacing, especially in that side on shot. His vehicle mode is amazing as well. Another Animated must have!

Thundercracker is... blue.

Thundercraker only works to me if they would make a G1 color starscream.

Blackout is awsome, I might even pay big $$$$$$$ for a pre-release (stolen) one.

Blackout's colors look a bit dull, but that could be the camera/photographer. Regardless, he does look awesome. And yeah, TC is just blue, but I'm happy for more clones.

Well, it's just about time they make news for the animated line. Even though I was hoping blackout to be a bit larger, this will still be a definite buy for me, no question about it. :D For TC, I could wait for longer..

Based on the pic, I'm guessing the gimmick in blackout is from the disc that can shoot out from his weapon. ;):rolleyes:

Agreed. But it is the Lugnut syndrome all over again. The character's bulk has to come from somewhere...
On the plus side, he will be in scale with the activators...or maybe the legends....

I already have the original Starscream use of the mold, but I'm a sucker for blue of any shade and I may get him if I have a spare $50 to blow.

Blackout looks great, much better than he did in the ComicCon photos. He sort of reminds me of Armada Cyclonus, what with the gun pods on the helicopter.

So? A buttload of TFs look a lot like other TFs (e.g. all those Optimus Primes).

I had hoped that I would like Blackout, but I can't say that I am too pleased at the final result. Probably will only purchase if its 50% off retail.

As for Thundercracker, I'll pass. Already have the fantastic scout version and am not about to blow $45+ for a 4th variant of the same mould.

there's a video review for blackout up now, his transformation is quite similar to lugnutz.
I do like the toy but I can't get over the fact his gun/tail looks like a plastic bottle opener.

Haha Blackout looks really chubby and cute with that small face..a bit yucky on the colours though.. Thundercracker.. ah well another repaint but I'll still probably get them both though...
