jimsta, are you aware of the Parramatta Toy Fair? Next one is 23rd August.
If you do plan to attend, make sure you track down other OzFormers members (there'd be heaps there). One thing that can be really handy when trying to track down TFs is contacts (:

Protoforms can't see topics in the meetups section, so he won't be able to access that link. You could post an announcement in the Oz news section of the next fair's details.

My bad. Either way, jimsta, consider yourself welcome to introduce yourself to other OzFormers board members if you do attend (:

I just want to say that I understand the reason for the new restrictions and do not disagree with them, I would like to point out its very unfriendly to new people.
The most annoying thing imo is not being able to see attached images.
Basically it does feel like I should just wait until 1 month has passed then actually come and be a member.

Images I can probably change to allow protoforms to see them. It was disabled due to strain on the server (and personal expense) that guests were causing by accessing images.

well if its a strain on personal expense, then dont bother. It would be easier to just ask everyone to upload to websites like photobucket.

It would be easier to just ask people to do that, but people will still just do whatever is easiest and quickest, no matter how much I may beg or plead.
I think I've changed the setting now to let newbies see them.
And yes, I agree that these changes have made this place seem a lot less friendly, but unfortunately, the actions of one selfish individual has spoilt it for others. If there was any way of stopping him from disrupting this fan-forum, I would probably make some areas more public (and make it look more inviting).
