Want Transformers Animated Season 4 or Allspark Almanac 2 then read on
August 21st, 2009 08:53:09
Jim Sorenson has stopped by The Allspark with some exciting news for fellow Transformers Animated fans. Here is what The Allspark reports "It seems that himself, Bill Forster, Derrick Wyatt and Marty Isenberg are all on board for a second volume of the Allspark Almanac book, should the first book sell well enough. Additionally, Marty Isenberg is also eager to write a "Season 4" for Animated that could be released in comic book form.
So what do you need to do to help get these made? Here's what Jim Sorenson has to say:
The best strategy is to buy one for yourself, advocate to people who might be interested, and above all make some noise. Let IDW and Hasbro know that you like the book by posting on their forum or publishing an amazon review - preferably both. Bill and I (and Marty and Derrick) are super-keen to do the follow-up volume and finish out season 3. I know Marty is itching to do a virtual season 4 in comic book form too. Right now, TPTB will be looking at this volume as a bellwether."

If they do this right, it will be the first Transformers comic I'll truly care about since G2.

erm pardon me but what's the Animated almanac all about?:o:o Is it the whole animated series in comic book form? It is a collection of thousands of full-colour character models, summaries of the first two seasons of Animated and comic books written in-universe from the perspective of the characters, various info, and a heap of tfwiki.net article references.
No, really, there are.

Poor Blurr was crushed. They should find some way to bring him back!

They just needed to find blurr and rebuild him, his spark was still alive.
Magnus would be easier to bring back. He was just in really bad shape (spark support or something)
Prowl is dead....turned black and everything, and he ain't no Optimus Prime

TFA was great. When I first watched a couple episodes I dismissed it thinking it it was too baby. After a few months tho, I went back to it and fell in love. I was so sad when it got canned. I say bring it back fo shiz.
I'd love to get a copy of the Allspark Almanac. I'm a big fan of these types of books.

Hate to be a buzzkill, but the likelihood of an Animated comic series again?
Kind of close to zero.
Both IDW and Titan UK stopped producing their own Animated comics many months before the official "cancellation" of the cartoon, so it looks like they weren't spectacular sellers.
So few people buy comics these days I guess.

I would definitely buy a comic continuation of Animated.
Hopefully they don't use the guy who did the pencils for the first issue of The Arrival, since they largely can't do anything better than D: for the faces.

True, but from what I heard they kinda sucked. Now that there isn't a TV series anymore and plenty of loose ends there might be enough demand for a season 4 adaption.

And I think that's the crux with the medium. A good selling book sells about 50-60K. An average selling book about 20K-35K. Not really that profitable. Add that to the fact that if not published by Marvel or DC, you don't really get a look in

The Titan UK Animated comic was not official cannon either, it was nothing more than fan-fiction really, so no surprise it died quickly.
The IDW Animated comic was pretty good (seeing as he 6th issue was only available in the trade or in the Jet twins pack). However it may be the reason that so many comics now come out in 11 page stories...
