From this thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=5581). This thread is for blogging about any stories generated from playing with our Transformer toys. :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Since getting G1 Countdown on Sunday I've been playing with my TF toys in this one play and generated the following story. Keep in mind that this is _not_ something I ever intended for others to read nor was it planned, scripted or remotely thought out in any way. It's just one of many ZANY stories I pull out of my proverbial whenever I'm playing with my toys. :p It's broken up into parts, each part representing a different night when I had time to sit down and play... I miss the days of being a kid when I could sit down and play this whole thing in a single day. (-_-)

Background: The story is set around the 29th or 30th century; just before the end of the Autobot-Decepticon conflict. The majority of Transformers have been upgraded as Micromasters to conserve fuel in the final stage of the war.

Part 1
On the planet Zone, Autobot Micromasters Groundshaker is piloting the mobile Rocket Base after receiving a deep-space transmission from Countdown confirming that he is finally returning to Zone (albeit a few years late) after a 200 year sojourn in hyperspace (although from Countdown's POV he's only been in Transwarp for days or weeks). Ironworks is manning the rocket base's cannons but isn't taking his post seriously. Groundshaker and Ironworks get into an argument about this, Ironworks argues that the Autobots have virtually won the war, especially after having driven out all Decepticons from Zone. Groundshaker argues against his complacency and reminds him that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty (not in those words :p). Countdown exits transwarp and dramatically re-enters Zone's atmosphere. Upon arrival the Rocket Base's sensors suddenly detect a space fold; the Decepticon Demon Generals have arrived! ('cept Overlord cos I don't have that toy :p) They return to the Zone capital of New Iacon where they meet up with the other Autobot Micromasters, led by Rodimus aboard the Star Convoy - an interstellar fortress constructed in the image of Optimus Prime as a tribute. The Autobots go to Defcon 1 and transform their city to attack mode to repulse the incoming Decepticon threat.

Part 2
A great battle ensues. Sixturbo is wounded early on in the piece and recalled to the city for repairs. The Decepticon assault is relentless and the other Micromaster gestalts are recalled from the forward flank to defend the city. Big Shot, Sidetrack, Flak, Sunrunner, Blaze Master, Sky High and Treadbolt are deployed. In the meantime, Ironworks powers up a super nuclear missile (I don't know why a nuclear warhead needs to be powered up; like I said, this is a brainless crazy story I made up while playing with toys! :p). After it is finally powered up, the nuclear missile is launched. All Autobots are recalled into a city where a force field is quickly erected. The explosion destroys the Decepticon Generals and also hammers the Autobots' shield and rocks their city. The shields hold though. Rodimus realises that after such a crushing defeat, Decepticon high command would be willing to negotiate surrender. Based on this assumption Rodimus just decides that he will travel to the Decepticon-occupied world of Char for negotiations with Decepticon command. He transforms the Star Convoy into vehicle mode and it is placed onto the Rocket Base's launch pad (hehehe).

Part 3
Aboard the Star Convoy, Rodimus blasts off and opens a transwarp gate to travel to Char. Upon arriving in Char space Rodimus is intercepted by unidentified drone assault fighters (in the form of Lockdown's EMP generator :p). Rodimus attempts to hail them and he transmits the authorisation code given to him by Decepticon command, as he has already sought permission previously (don't ask me when!). The crafts fail to respond and begin to approach at an attack angle. Rodimus issues a warning for them to stop this or he will fire - they ignore him, so he fires the Star Convoy's primary long range cannon. Unfortunately the craft prove to be too small and agile. Once they are in attack range they begin firing on the Star Convoy, swarming around like flies. Rodimus activates the forward auto-guns and places the Star Convoy on auto-pilot, while he clambers through the rather small and crammed access ports, working his way to the rear of the ship to access the shuttle (Micro Transport). Rodimus pilots the shuttle and uses it to engage the hostile crafts directly. Both Rodimus and the auto-guns eventually take out the crafts, none of which bear any Decepticon markings. Rodimus suspects that they were sent by Decepticons but that the Decepticons will probably conveniently deny knowledge. As he enters Char orbit, he transmits his access codes to Decepticon security. He asks them about the hostile crafts and they deny knowledge. Upon arrival Rodimus (now I'm playing with Classics Rodimus, although he still represents Micromaster Rodimus) is escorted by movie-Wreckage to meet the Decepticon command. Rodimus is expecting to meet the Decepticon leader Violenjiger (who unlike official Violenjiger, is actually just a Decepticon), but is surprised to learn that he has been overthrown. He is told that the Decepticons have abandoned the tradition of being ruled by a single dictator and have gone back to being ruled by a Triumvirate (http://s90690880.onlinehome.us/jhiaxus/ukcomics/triumverate.htm). He meets the New Triumvirate comprised of three Decepticon generals he has never heard of before; Sea Clamp (Lockdown), Ram Horn (Oil Slick) and Cicadacon (Lugnut); the Triumvirate is known as the Tripredacus Council. They explain to Rodimus that they orchestrated a coup d'état against Violenjiger and that they genuinely wish to achieve peace and a final end to the war. They show Rodimus a draft peace treaty known as the Pax Cybertronia. Under this treaty, both Autobots and Decepticons are to be formally disbanded or reorganised into new governments. They tell Rodimus that the Decepticons will reorganise themselves into a new faction known as the Predacons; named as a tribute to the former Decepticon sub-faction, but otherwise a wholly new organisation. They suggest that the Autobots do likewise so that former grudges between former Autobots and Decepticons can be swept away. Rodimus agrees to take a copy of the Pax Cybertronia data tracks back to Cybertron where he will discuss it with his fellow Autobots and make a final decision about signing the accord or not. As an act of good faith, Rodimus tells the Tripredacus Council about the Autobots' plan to further improve upon existing Micromaster technology with their secret project to develop the Maximal Upgrade. The generals express interest in this and invite him to share this technology should they become allies. He leaves Char aboard the Star Convoy.

Part 4
Rodimus returns to Cybertron where he meets Springer (Universe Roadbuster). Springer has recently returned from leading the Wreckers in the final liberation of Klo. Roadbuster was killed in this battle and Springer has repainted himself in Roadbuster's colours as a tribute (:p). Rodimus briefs Springer about his meeting with the Tripredacus Council. Springer expresses concern and suspicion but Rodimus reminds him that the Decepticons are effectively defeated and that negotiating terms of surrender would be the most logical course for them at this point. He tells them that he intends for the Autobots to be likewise reorganised as a new faction, also to be ruled by a collective rather than an individual. Springer asks who this collective will be and at that moment Universe Prowl, Henkei Ironhide and USA Edition Silverbolt walk in. Prowl explains that they will be the new ruling council. He invites both Rodimus and Springer to join. Rodimus declines, saying that he intends to retire from military service and live as a civilian. He doesn't even want to sign the Pax Cybertronia, instead authorising the new ruling council to do so on his behalf. Springer also declines, saying that he has too many ill feelings against the Decepticons, even if they are reorganised as Predacons. Prowl states that the Predacon name is too controversial as the name of a former Decepticon sub-faction, and that if the Autobots are to truly push for a new age free from the old factions, that the Autobots should take the moral high ground and create an entirely new and more politically correct faction name. Silverbolt agrees although expresses some disappointment as he was partial to the name "Protectobots." They all agree that the Autobots will be known as "Maximals" under the new organisation. Rodimus christens Ironhide, Prowl and Silverbolt as the Magnaboss Imperium.

Part 5
Rodimus gives Springer a final mission, one that is top secret and that the Autobots/Maximals will deny all knowledge of if they fail. Springer is required to remove his Autobot insignia to appear as a neutralist. He is told to travel to the Rad Zone where he will meet a new group of neutralists who are secretly loyal to the Autobots. They will assist him to assassinate the Shadow Guards, a top secret team of guerrilla fighters who have been serving the Decepticons, and intelligence has informed them that they are now loyal to the Tripredacus Council. Springer meets up with the neutralist fighters (Protoform movie Prime) and their captain (Commander Cody/Turbo Tank). They travel along old underground tunnels where they find the Shadow Guards (TIE Bomber TF). Admist this battle Springer encounters their leader, Nemesis Prime (Darth Vader/TIE Advanced) who reveals that he was formerly Nova Prime who was secretly overthrown by Sentinel Prime and history records altered to say that he was lost during an expeditionary mission. Sentinel had overthrown him because he discovered Nova's plan to lead the Autobots to conquer the galaxy. The Shadow Guards are killed and Nemesis Prime is wounded, but flees.

The End. :)

One day Staxx was driving around with Aquablast

then the Euro Constructicons showed up and because they were no longer actionmasters they had a super strong psychic connection, so they lifted Staxx and Aquablast up and tossed them into the sea

Eventually Megatron arrived in his G2 form and gave the constructicons a g2 upgrade. And they were happy

and they all were pleased

except staxx

and aquablast

Aleses story - (like part 23) One day, Blackout thought it was funny to fly inside Barbies loungeroom, and get in the way of the tv. Softimus Prime tackled his rotors, making blackout go spinning out of control. messing up the entire house. Barbie was not happy. And screamed at both of them, before finding the mess in the kitchen left by Slumblebee. Then she went nuts! They were all turfed out and Softmus Prime spent the next however long (kids attention span goes for), apoligiseing! -

One day Sam Witwicky (Mutt Williams) decides to go to the local library while his parents are overseas and Mikaela is also out of town (I can't remember what excuse I made). So he drives Bumblebee to the library and walks in to do some research with Bumblebee parked out the front. In a nearby alleyway a whole bunch of electrical bolts fly everywhere creating a giant silver sphere - yes, like in Terminator (this is all in my imagination and using hand gestures and vocalising sound effects :p). The sphere disappears revealing some mysterious characters who just happen to look like Darth Vader and some Imperial Stormtroopers (:D). They move into the library where the Vader character tells the troopers to seal off all exits. The troopers refer to their leader as Lord Zarak who explains that they've travelled from the future to kill Sam... but of course they already knew that; but it's called an exposition (:p). So they quickly run up a staircase, another person sees them and laughs remarking about how dorky they look in their ridiculous costumes. A Stormtrooper shoots him dead. The Stormies then quickly burst into the floor where Sam is and the captain fires a shot in the airceiling which sends everyone in a panic as they flee for the exits - but alas! - the exits are all covered by more Stormies! Fiends!! Sam throws his head out the window and screams, "BUMBLEBEE!" and Bumblebee transforms, but as soon as he's done this, more Stormtroopers come around the corner and begin firing on Bumblebee. To Bumblebee's surprise their shots actually seriously hurt and send him tumbling. He returns fire but since his opponents are humans he has to hold himself back and tries to fire shots that send the Stormies flying, but without directly hitting any of them.

Meanwhile back in the library Sam suddenly hears Lord Zarak's deep breathing as he enters the room. He ignites his light sabre and orders the Stormies to kill Sam. They begin firing and Sam starts dodging for dear life. Zarak then tells them to hold their fire and he moves in to personally kill Sam. Sam tries to flee but Zarak uses a Force push to incapacitate him. As he swings his sabre down to kill him it's immediately blocked by a blue light sabre, wielded by Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi! Captain Rex and his Clone Troopers bust in shooting at the Stormtroopers, who exclaim (and explain) that they're being attacked by "Republic Troopers." Kenobi grabs Sam and brings him outside the library where Bumblebee is still fighting the Stormies. More Republic troopers come to reinforce Bumblebee and Kenobi, but Bumblebee is confused cos they all look the same to him. Kenobi quickly explains to Bumblebee that they're on his side and tells Bumblebee to take Sam away to safety. He tells Sam that his home is now compromised and that he should just take anything important from his home and then go directly to NEST. Sam asks Kenobi how he knows about NEST but Kenobi says there's no time to explain. Bumblebee is now in vehicle mode and Kenobi shoves him in. Bumblebee then speeds away from the battle.

Cyclonus swoops down and Zarak and his Stormies (who have jump jets on their belts) leap aboard as they flee. Kenobi uses a mighty Force Leap to jump and cling onto Cyclonus' underbelly where he begins using his lightsabre to break into Cyclonus' hull... the blade goes right through Cyclonus' energy shielding and eats away at his armour. Inside Cyclonus' cockpit where Zarak is sitting, Cyclonus screams and tells Zarak what's happening. A Stormtrooper straps himself onto a tether and opens a nearby hatch, pops out and begins firing at Kenobi. Kenobi blocks the shots with this lightsabre but loses grip and falls. He deactivates his lightsabre and tells Captain Rex to send up a rocket pack. The Republic Troopers take out a rocket pack and carefully aim it toward Kenobi, then activate it sending it rocketing in a direct path toward him! (yes, it makes _no_ sense, I know that the rocketpack _should_ be spiralling out of control! And no, it wasn't because Kenobi was guiding the rocketpack with the Force, but you can retcon it that way if you want :p). Kenobi then grabs onto the rocket pack and straps it onto himself then begins flying down to Earth. From his view he can see local police arriving and alerts his troopers below to retreat and rendezvous later.

Sam and Bumblebee return to the Witwicky home where Sam grabs his stuff and hops into Bumblebee. As they leave they're suddenly attacked by Cyclonus. Bumblebee drives as fast as he can but he cannot outrun Cyclonus. At that moment heading from the opposite direction they see Optimus Prime and a NEST APC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoured_personnel_carrier) (Animated Bulkhead). Bumblebee joins their convoy and Optimus Prime transforms. Lord Zarak and Imperial Stormtroopers drop from Cyclonus and Cyclonus transforms. Prime tells Bumblebee to take Sam away to safety and NEST soldiers (GI Joe) are come out of the APC and battle ensues. Much to the NEST soldiers' dismay, the Stormtroopers' armour is tough, meaning that each Stormie can actually withstand several shots before sustaining injury or being killed (meaning that it takes typically half a magazine of ammunition to shoot one Stormtrooper dead), but of course the Stormtrooper's blaster shots are able to take down a NEST soldier instantly, leaving a clean bloodless cauterised wound. Lord Zarak ignites his lightsabre and begins blocking bullets and cutting down NESTies.

Cyclonus engages in a fight with Prime and his gun transforms into Nightstick who then goes off to pursue Bumblebee. Bumblebee transforms and Sam runs for cover while he fights Nightstick.

The NESTies realise that they're outclassed by their new adversaries, so they break into a nearby house and frighten the living daylights out of the already terrified occupants. Lennox (Duke) orders them to take the back exit and get as far away as possible. One of the occupants asks him if they're being attacked by terrorists and Lennox says, "Yeah sure..." The NESTies bunk down in the house and cover all windows and doors expecting to be stormed, but to their surprise the street is empty. On the roof of the house are Zarak and his Stormtroopers. Zarak drops through the chimney and lands in the fireplace, igniting his lightsabre and says, "As I believe you Earthlings would say, Merry Christmas!" (what wit!) and he cuts down a NESTie as the others scramble for cover. The ceiling collapses as the Stormtroopers jump through, firing at the NESTies. Epps (Heavy Duty) engages in melee combat with Zarak who breaks Epps' right arm and is about to decapitate him with his light sabre, but the blade is again blocked just in the nick of time by Kenobi! And of course his Republic Troopers are with him. Lennox quickly realises that the Republic forces are on their side and NEST are soon fighting alongside the Republic troopers. Zarak and the Stormies realise that they are outnumbered and he orders Cyclonus to lead the retreat. Cyclonus argues but Zarak tells him that it's an order. He and Nightstick disengage from their fight with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, with Cyclonus transforming to jet mode, he picks up Zarak and the Stormies and flies off. A squadron of F22s chase him but Kenobi remarks that they'll never be able to catch Cyclonus.

NEST, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Sam gather around Kenobi and the Republic Troopers. In a conversation Kenobi explains that they have travelled back in time from the year 2035 and that Cyclonus, Zarak and their Decepticon Imperial Stormtroopers have done likewise. He explains that by the year 2035 the governments of Earth have been dissolved and replaced by the United Nations which is expanded and reorganised as a central Earth government. The Earth government combines with Autobot and Nebulan leaders to form the Galactic Republic, governed by a senate comprised of Autobots and humans of Earth and Nebulos. Because of this, Cybertronian technology is finally shared with humans, thus explaining their advanced technology. He also explains that he and Anakin Zarak were once part of a special order of Jedi knights on Nebulos who possess special powers and wield light sabres. Sam asks him why humans would want to ally themselves with Decepticons and Kenobi says that the Decepticons have learned to exploit the one crucial weakness among all humans, and Lennox remarks, "a want for power," and Kenobi replies, "Precisely." He explains that the Decepticons have promised people power, thus recruiting humans from Earth and Nebulos as soldiers for the Decepticon Empire (thus they are known as Imperial Stormtroopers). He explains that Anakin Zarak and he were once comrade in arms until Zarak was seduced by the Decepticons' promise for greater power, and he was forced to take him down - thus butchering and burning his body, but the Decepticons rebuilt him as a cyborg. While this story is being told, Republic troopers inject Bacta into Epps' arm and explain that they will regenerate his wounds at a cellular level.

...the end!

One day Cyclonus was minding his own business when he found Overkill trying to eat Nightstick.

Upon wresting his partner from the fiend's jaws, he used him in gun mode to fend off Overkill.

Also, another time Overkill attacked the Animated Dinobots. It didn't go well for him, since Grimlock sliced him in half.

Cos I'm currently overseas, I don't have the time to just sit down and do a long campaign... also I don't have access to my collection, only to what toys I have here. For the first week I've been overseas I only had Autobots to play with -- then only about a week ago I got Lugnut. So I've had this on and off again campaign where the Autobots have been stranded on some alien world - former and long abandoned Decepticon colony where the unseen natives (cos they're little and scared of Cybertronians) are not to be underestimated -- fighting a guerilla campaign against their former Cybertronian colonial masters (they don't see the difference between Autobots and Decepticons). This was when I only had Autobots to play with... then I got Lugnut. So after learning that there are Autobots present on this planet, Megatron dispatches Lugnut on a solo heroic mission to single-handedly eradicate them. However the Autobots are scattered across the planet. Here we have a massive plothole -- I've provided NO reason why they've scattered... they just are! :p And that's about as far as this thin story stretches, from here on Lugnut is now "travelling" across this planet, meeting and fighting one Autobot at a time. :D

A brief toy campaign that started on Sunday and finished last night...

The Lost Light was damaged and had to set down on a hostile world full of monsters to repair itself, but Cyclonus (BiS/Universe) and Rodimus (BiS/Classics) went on a mission to obtain some random MacGuffin from the planet (naturally located in a nest of monsters - all visualised by my imagination :p) to repair the ship. Rodimus went back to return the MacGuffin, while Cyclonus and Nightstick held off the Nightmare Monsters to buy Rodimus time. During this time Nightstick was killed and Cyclonus was mortally wounded. He was later rescued by others from the Lost Light and Ratchet (Henkei) repaired him, but Cyclonus swore vengeance. Ratchet gets all preachy and protests against this to Rodimus -- Rodimus tells Ratchet that he'll have words with Cyclonus. Rodimus tells Cyclonus that he's not going to authorise or condone any course of action for vengeance, but tells Cyclonus that he's gotta do what he's gotta do. Cyclonus then accesses the ship's armoury and helps himself to a sword (TFPRiD Dreadwing's sword) a nuclear warhead (stick of lip balm :p) and crapload of missiles (imagination ;)), as well as a bio-signature detector (TFPRiD Dreadwing's gun). Cyclonus then flies back to where all the monsters are and unleashes his nuclear payload. He quickly flies out to avoid being sucked in by the vacuum, then later returns and begins bombing and napalming the surface to eradicate survivors. He then finds a deep cavern where a lot of surviving creatures are holed up. Cyclonus transforms into robot mode, pulls out the sword and proceeds to waltz in there picking off the sick and injured survivors (though Cyclonus does sustain injury to his left forearm and torso). He then flies above the clouds that have been constantly pouring corrosive acid rain and deploys the bio signature detector which links him a live feed of where any other surviving monsters are. Cyclonus uses this data to begin hunting down other isolated surviving creatures.

In the meantime Rodimus checks up on Ratchet about the progress of repairs, and Ratchet tells him that everything will be ready in about half a Breem, but also tells him that he's noticed that weapons have been pilfered from the armoury and fears that Cyclonus has gone to do something rash. Rodimus realises that the subtle advice he gave Cyclonus wasn't such a good idea, so he transforms to car mode and races off to find Cyclonus. In the mean time, Cyclonus is having a jolly time killing more monsters, including a giant gelatinous spider who Cyclonus sticks his sword through, but the spider keeps running and Cyclonus has lost the sword... so naturally he continues using his bare fists to continue pummelling more monsters. Rodimus arrives and sees the spider dying with the sword between its eyes. Rodimus pulls the sword out as the spider dissolves, only to see a giant wolf-like creature with Cyclonus being dragged under its neck. Cyclonus finally manages to wrestle the wolf monster to the ground and snap its neck before confronting Rodimus. Rodimus tells Cyclonus that it's up to him if he wants to continue his vendetta, but he's not going to let him continue using resources from the Lost Light to do it. He tells Cyclonus that once the ship is flight worthy, they're going to leave this world with or without him. Cyclonus surrenders the bio-detector's controller which Rodimus uses to deactivate and retrieve the detector, which he then takes back to the Lost Light. Cyclonus reasons that remaining on the planet with no weapons and limited Energon would be counter productive to honouring his oath to avenge Nightstick, and swears to Nightstick that one day he'll return to complete his promise of reeee-venge! :D

...the end, and then I finally packed away all my toys. ;)

Curious to know how other people are playing with their TF Prime figures and if anyone else is doing what I am...

My current TF Prime toy play is set after the events of Predacons Rising. Bumblebee is now Supreme Commander of the Autobot forces currently overseeing the reconstruction and resettlement of Cybertron. Megatron, as penance for his former deeds as a Decepticon, is assisting Wheeljack in leading a new-born Autobot forces in dealing with the Decepticon Remnant.

The Decepticon Remnant are what remains of the Decepticon forces who refuse to follow Megatron in defecting over to the Autobots. Megatron leads his own mission to find these Decepticons and other sympathisers and convince them to follow him in defecting. Although Megatron's role is not to actually directly stop them, as his role is purely diplomatic and not military (Megatron has surrendered his cannon and is sworn to an oath of non-aggression). Wheeljack on the other hand is creating the New Wreckers and are very aggressively hunting down the Remnant, with the ultimate objective of finding their leader, Shockwave, and his lieutenant commander, Starscream. Hot Shot was one of the first to join the New Wreckers and is currently Wheeljack's apprentice and co-pilot aboard the Jackhammer (which has been further modified with more weaponry, a tractor beam, expanded crew quarters (for future Wreckers) and detention cell. The Jackhammer's hyperspace drives have also been enhanced.

I haven't figured out how the Predacons fit into all this yet. It'll happen when I next play with the toys (as this whole story just unfolds as I'm playing... none of it's pre-planned :p). ;)

I've been trying to play with my toys more often, but I dislike having to put everything back on the shelves and pose them all. I did have one play a while ago.
Everyone was fighting, on Earth. Megatron was crushed by Metroplex and the Autobots won, but both Optimus and Metroplex were killed during their duel. Metroplex was fixable, but the Autobots had no means to repair him. Starscream was also shot by Megatron, before he died, because Megatron was sick of his $h*%. The Decepticons retreated to Chaar and the Autobots just kind of stood there in grief, over their leader. On Chaar, the Decepticons are a huge, energon Deprived mess, similar to FFOD. Some sat and rusted, damaged beyond repair, while others, notably Shockwave, Soundwave and Blitzwing, discussed getting themselves back together to attack the Autobots. After much discussion with no clear decision, a small green Decepticon flies towards them. He introduces himself as Waspinator, a descendant of the Decepticons from the future. The Decepticons disregard him quickly, but their attention is grabbed again when Waspinator glows a blue light and goes offline. However, he soon rises to life, the voice of Starscream now his. Starscream, in his new body, captures the attention of all the other Decepticons and declares himself their new leader. He explains his plans, but the insecticon Kickback, somewhat intoxicated (as he and his other insecticons always are) from the insecticons' stored energon supplies, walks up to Starscream/Waspinator and questions his motives. Starscream, without hesitation, takes out his rifle and shoots Kickback straight through the chest. Kickback stands there for a bit, then falls lifelessly onto the ground. Starscream exclaims "Will anyone else attempt to fill his shoes" (it had to be done) and gains the control of the rest of the Decepticons.

Meanwhile, at the Autobot's new HQ, the small group of remaining Autobots (the rest elsewhere or on Cybertron) include Hot Rod, Springer, Ultra Magnus, Grimlock, Perceptor and a severely damaged Sky Lynx. Among those dead from the battle include Trailcutter, Ratchet, Huffer, Hot Spot and Bumblebee. Springer, with his confident and somewhat cocky attitude, attempts to bring the Autobots to order. Grimlock, not liking Springer's attitude, stomps his big foot and demands that he be leader. Ultra Magnus steps forward, calms the tension between the two and assumes temporary command. He asks Perceptor to see if he can get any of Metroplex's systems online, but none will respond. Metroplex's medbay is also disabled, so no energon can be dispensed or any minor repairs done. The Autobots set up camp for the night.

Bidoofdude
11th April 2014, 10:47 PM
Meanwhile, on Chaar, a dispute forms between a gutsy Blitzwing and Starscream. An argument ensues between the two and Starscream banishes Blitzwing from the Decepticon ranks and anyone else that would care to join him. Shockwave, Soundwave (and minions), Thundercracker and Onslaught join him and they fly off to Earth.

The Decepticon outcasts fly towards the small Autobot camp and alert is raised. The Autobots, notably an eager Grimlock, assemble, ready to defend the camp. Blitzwing flies in and transform, along with the rest of his small band of misfits. Weapons are immediately pointed at them. Springer, Blitzwing's arch nemesis and former friend from Cybertron before the war, stands up to Blitzwing and takes out his long blade. Ultra Magnus steps forward and holds back Springer, asking Blitzwing to explain his business. Blitzwing tells the whole story to the Autobots. They Autobots, though apprehensive, agree to take them in, if they help them locate an energy supply to restore Metroplex. They agree to a temporary alliance and begin gathering small amounts of energon. They soon manage to gather a good enough supply to start fixing Metroplex.

Off in the distance, Starscream/Waspinator's group of Decepticons attack the camp. The Combaticons, minus Onslaught, start wreaking havoc and destroying the shelters and supplies. Starscream and the rest of the Decepticons, including Skywarp and the other Seekers, attack the Autobot forces. The Autobots manage to put up a good fight, but are outnumbered. Ultra Magnus is shot in the arm and is knocked out by Skywarp. Hot Rod picks up the matrix as it falls out of Magnus' chest and attempts to open it, to no avail. It is blasted out of his hands by a fast-moving seeker. Thundercracker shields Hot Rod from further damage and takes off after the seeker. He ends up destroying it and fighting side by side along Hot Rod. The combaticons start fighting onslaught, who is fighting back to back with Springer. They charge towards Onslaught and attempt to combine with him. Onslaught struggles to keep control of a raging Bruticus. Blitzwing flies in and transforms, then transforms once again into tank mode and fires a thick blast of energy at the limbs. However, it is in vain and the combaticons continue to manipulate Onslaught. Shockwave sees the ongoing battle and asks Soundwave to use his minions to destroy the circuits on the Scramble City ports on Bruticus. Soundwave ejects Ratbat, Laserbeak, Rumble and Frenzy, who destroy the outer circuits on the ports. Shockwave then deactivates the remaining parts of the ports. Onslaught is now in full control and swings the limbs backwards, then shoots them forward, hard against Starscream and Skywarp. Starscream, before making a hasty retreat with the damaged Decepticons, shoots a rogue shot, which hits the main energy supplies and explodes violently. The Autobots manage to contain the damages of the explosion and continue to rebuild. They are now out of any useful energon supply. However, they have enough to rebuild at least one Autobot. Grimlock suggests rebuilding Optimus Prime, but Perceptor explains that only Ratchet knows the schematics for Optimus Prime's body. So, Perceptor decides to revive Ratchet. However, they require an energy source to reignite Ratchet's spark. Hot Rod takes the matrix out and suggests using it as an energy source. Springer thinks that it is a bad idea, but Perceptor says that it may work.

Today my 5 year old daughter and I played the following campaign:

Slumblebee has decided to try and eat Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Their defender is Age of Extinction Generations Leader Class Optimus Prime. After thwarting Slumblebee's numerous attempts at eating the Disney Princesses, he delivers them to their fortified castle and tells them to stay there. After that Slumblebee keeps sneaking in from other sides of the castle as Optimus Prime cannot guard the entire perimeter at once, causing much girly screaming and havoc! :p Slumblebee is eventually driven away, but a new threat has arrived -- Age of Extinction Voyager Class Gaaalvatroonn! AoEGLCOP is no match for his mighty missile! However reinforcements has arrived in the form of Princess Rescue Bots Optimus Prime! He drives Galvatron away and helps AOEGLCOP defend the castle. A reformed Slumblebee is allowed into the castle and dances for the princesses. Galvatron's subsequent attempts to attack the castle are thwarted by the two Primes. Galvatron then allies himself with BotShots Megatron and they launch an attack on the two Primes, however Slumblebee emerges and eats Megatron.

...then it was bath time. ;)

So is anyone else adjusting their toy play campaigns in anticipation of upcoming toys? Because I've recently been playing these campaigns:

Combiner Wars Aerialbots
The Aerialbots have recently been restored after near death, but Slingshot is still in critical condition, and Air Raid has been assigned to a top secret mission. To bolster their depleted numbers, Autobot Command has appointed new recruit Alpha Bravo to the team, allowing them to at least form a one-armed Superion as a last resort. The team's first mission was to travel to the planet Narbee to retrieve the Cosmic MacGuffin (yes, I was that lazy w/ the plot device ... never bothered to properly name or even describe it :p). The Aerialbots engage in combat with the locals who refuse to give up the MacGuffin, but they are finally able to retrieve it (even with only one arm, the Narbees are no match for Superion's might). However, in doing so, another group of Narbees have sabotaged and destroyed their star ship. The Aerialbots send an SOS to Cybertron and try to find a place to bunker down to avoid further conflict with the indigenous people. The take refuge in an ancient temple, and as they secure the building, Alpha Bravo walks into a chamber which houses a horrible tentacle monster which severely wounds him, placing him in stasis lock. The other Aerialbots retrieve him and manage to drive the creature away. Firefly discovers ruins with illustrations indicating that the creature was worshipped by the ancient Narbees as an angry god, annually sacrificing people to appease it. Eventually the Narbees revolted against the creature and built this temple to imprison it. The Aerialbots soon realise that the Narbee had allowed them to discover the temple to set the creature against them. Firefly goes for an aerial reconnaissance and spots the creature. He discovers that the creature can jump great heights and it damages his stabiliser. Firefly drops all sorts of bombs and missiles on it, which only slows it down and eventually buries it, but as Firefly flies back to the temple, he notices a tentacle breaking out of the rubble. Silverbolt, Firefly and Skydive prepare to defend the temple until reinforcements can arrive, but they are soon approached by a large Narbee militia, who are upset over the Aerialbots releasing the creature (which they call 'Arnovus'), and Silverbolt reminds them that it was their own fault for attempting to trap them in the temple with Arnovus in the first place. The Narbee attempt to swarm the temple and the Aerialbots are forced to continue firing upon them in self defence. Eventually an Autobot ship arrives and decimates the Narbee attack force, scattering them. The ship lands and out comes Impactor and an Autobot medic (Cybertron Red Alert). As Impactor and the medic begin transporting Alpha Bravo onto the shuttle first, they see Arnovus rapidly approaching them. Impactor and the Aerialbots begin firing at Arnovus while the medic secures Alpha Bravo in a stasis cell before manning the ship's guns and raining heavy firepower onto the creature, allowing the other Autobots to quickly get inside the ship. As they take off, the creature leaps and clings onto the hull. After achieving orbit, Impactor steps out onto the exterior of the ship (with magnetised feet) and fights off the creature. Impactor loses an arm but gets the creature in front of one of the ship's cannons, which Silverbolt quickly mans and manages to blast the creature, sending it spiralling away from the ship. The other Aerialbots jump onto the ship's other guns and they all begin shooting at Arnovus, while the medic attends to a wounded Impactor. The Autobots fly to the nearest offworld colony where Alpha Bravo and Impactor are allowed to fully recover.

Minimus Ambus/Ultra Magnus
Generations Brainstorm discovers that CW Ultra Magnus is trapped inside the engine room with an overloading Quantum Drive. The room is locked shut, so 'we' cannot see CW Ultra Magnus (convenient, no?), but there is only a bright flash. When Brainstorm enters the room, he discovers FoC and MP Ultra Magnus standing in CW Ultra Magnus' place. FoC UM is the very first/original UM from Cybertron's distant past whereas MP UM is from the future, and is no longer Minimus Ambus. FoC UM goes rogue, intent on discovering what the future holds in order to change the past. Brainstorm retrieves him and sends both UMs into an interdimensional limbo which would hold every Ultra Magnus across time and space until Brainstorm can stabilise the quantum anomaly -- returning CW Ultra Magnus to his timeline (and all the other UMs to their respective places in time and space). Brainstorm assumes that all knowledge of the anomaly will become forgotten by the UMs, but he cannot know for sure.

...so this is the crazy crap I've been making up in preparation/anticipation of toys that I don't even own yet, but I very much look forward to getting and including in these toy play campaigns! :D Anyone else doing this? :o

I just had a large battle where Generations Deluxe Class Thundercracker and TFPBH Deluxe Class Knock Out abandoned the Decepticons after Galvatron's arrival to join the Autobots and get chased by Off-road, Dead End and Breakdown, Bombshell, Lockdown and Galvatron. Bumblebee was following them and contacts for reinforcements, when Sideswipe, Silver Bolt and Air Raid. Having previously captured Bombshell before he escaped, Silver Bolt shoots Autobots controlled Cerebrospinal Shells at the Stunticons and forms Superion and kicks the crap out of The Decepticons.

TFRiD2015

Team Bumblebee are chasing Steeljaw until they reach the heart of the city and plenty of human witnesses. Back at the junkyard, Fixit deploys a massive disruptor wave which jams all human technology and also deletes the last 10 min of any video/audio recording device. The Autobots split up and chase Steeljaw to what appears to be a yard full of abandoned vehicles. However it turns out to be a trap, and many of the abandoned cars are Vehicons, left behind after Megatron's Decepticons left Earth. Steeljaw explains to the Autobots that they are Megatron's personal elite crack team, but after Bumblebee killed Megatron, they abandoned their post and hid themselves on Earth, attempting to rise up against humanity (for even in death, there is no command but Megatron's). They have viewed Steeljaw's goals as being compatible with their own, and have formed an alliance. The Vehicons quickly subdue the Autobots, lock them in stasis cuffs and line them up for execution.

Suddenly three remaining vehicles transform and reveal themselves to be Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead and Arcee, who proceed to attack the Decepticons and quickly liberate the captive Autobots. Ultra Magnus severely reprimands Bumblebee for allowing his team to be seen by humans, despite Fixit's attempt to prevent recordings of their presence, there were already hundreds of eyewitnesses. Magnus explains that Ratchet has been actively working to thwart these Vehicons' attempts at plundering Earth and keeping them at bay. The Vehicons needed to ally themselves with Steeljaw and more Decepticons to boost their numbers. Magnus allows Team Bumblebee to take Steeljaw in their custody, and advises Bumblebee to seek out Ratchet. Magnus' team then cuffs the Elite Vehicons and opens a Space Bridge portal taking them all back to Cybertron.

On Cybertron, the Vehicons are reunited with a now reformed/defected Megatron (following his renouncement of the Decepticon cause at the end of TFP). Megatron now commands the Elite Vehicons to join him, and they obey. Megatron suggests that he and the Elite Vehicons can help to make amends for their past deeds by leading a mission to Cybertron's moon to neutralise the growing threat of Airachnid and her undead Insecticon horde. Ultra Magnus isn't keen on Megatron leading a team entirely comprised of Decepticons, and orders Jazz to accompany him with a cadre of new Autobot enforcers (TFP Hot Shot), with Knock Out as their ship's pilot and mission coordinator.

Once in the moon's orbit, Jazz, Megatron and their respective troops board a shuttle and transport themselves down to the surface, while Knock Out remains aboard the ship in geostationary orbit. The away team soon discovers a cave full of Insecticon chrysalides. Jazz plunges the tip of his lance into one to gather a CNA sample and dispatches a Vehicon to fly it back to the ship so that Knock Out can conduct an analysis. Results conclude that the CNA is vampiric, proving that the brood are Energon-vampires. The away team then begins planting explosives throughout and around the catacombs. After making safe distance, Jazz pushes the detonator, causing a massive explosion. Knock Out quickly informs them that there is a massive movement of Insecticons heading towards them from the East. Megatron suggests that they take refuge in an abandoned alter-like structure and fortify their position there in order to mount a counter-offensive.

The Insecticon-vampires arrive and a furious battle ensues. The keen but inexperienced Autobot enforcers find themselves quickly outnumbered and outclassed. The far more experienced and better trained Elite Vehicons find themselves having to defend both themselves and their less competent Autobot allies. The Enforcers are also initially horrified when they see the Vehicons killing other Vehicons who have been bitten by an Insecticon. The Vehicons explain that there is no known cure for the vampiric condition, and that they have no choice but to euthanise anyone on their team who becomes infected.

Airachnid confronts Megatron, who removes his weapons to face her in Kaon-style gladiatorial combat. Megatron defeats Airachnid in only two moves and places stasis cuffs on her. Megatron then hands Airachnid over to Jazz and tells him to take her back to the ship. The team is too heavily surrounded to call for a full retreat. Jazz tells Megatron to keep the team safe as they retreat further into the alter, while he quickly returns to the shuttle. The team are overwhelmed, and Megatron himself is severely wounded, including having his left shoulder broken. Soon a hail of lasers descend from above; it's Knock Out's ship!

...and that's as far as I've gotten so far. Toys are still splayed all over my toy room floor waiting for me to continue this adventure. ;)

After a weekend of exam and assignment marking (guh), I decided to take a break this evening with some toy play.

Generations Orion Pax is exploring the crumbled remains of an Autobot City. In it he finds a weird glowing orb and he is too far underground to call for backup. Suddenly the original G1 Optimus Prime appears! He explains that he is Orion from the distant future. Then, one by one, other Optimi appear - Movieverse Protoform Optimus Prime, RiD2015 Warrior Class Optimus Prime, and finally Titans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime. At this time Orion is still loyal to Zeta Prime and has also been inspired by the stories of Megatron. The Optimi explain to him that Zeta's really a bad dude, and how his badness will eventually turn Megatron into a monster and blah blah blah backstory blah blah exposition blah. So Orion and the Optimi make plans. Orion goes back to Iacon and tells him of this weird energy source that he found and how future versions of himself have come to help. Orion lures Zeta into the underground city. The Ghosts of Christmas Fu---, uh, the Optimi try to convince Zeta to abandon his various nefarious schemes which they all know about cos it's ancient history to them. Zeta remains unconvinced and reluctant to yield to the Optimi's demands and tells them that it's already too late for them to save Megatron. PMOP nominates himself to hold Zeta captive in the underground city while the others must rush off. They don't know if the bar fight at Maccaddam's has happened already or not, so G1 & RiD OP rush off to the bar while Orion and Protoform OP go back to the police station. G1 and RiD OP arrive at Maccaddam's to find that they're too late. They immediately start heading to the station. Protoform OP takes flight and arrives at the station first, literally crashing through the doors. The Autobot officers point their guns at him but Protoform OP transforms to robot mode and demands that they do a Spark-scan of him. The Spark scanner confirms his identity as Orion Pax. The officers are dumbfounded but cannot dispute the evidence from the scan. Protoform Prime demands to see Megatron. He walks into WFC Megatron's cell and catches Generations Whirl beating the crap out of him. Protoform Prime smacks Whirl down and places him under arrest, ordering the other Autobots to take him away. Megatron is enraged after experiencing the power of applied violence - Prime knows this and quickly swoops in to comfort and counsel Megatron. He assures Megatron that Whirl is not representative of all Autobots, and there are many like him who want to be his friends and help him find a peaceful resolution to Cybertron's woes as he initially believed. Megatron realises that Whirl was sent by Zeta Prime. Optimus tells Megatron that he believes him (which surprises Megatron) and knows that there are more assassins coming for him tonight, but while he legally cannot release Megatron from custody, he will defend him to ensure that Megatron will come to no harm. Orion Pax and the other Optimi arrive and they prepare for Zeta's assassins. G1 Prime sits in Megatron's cell with him as a last line of defence. Orion Pax mans the reception desk by himself with his weapons just underneath. RiD OP hides in a closet while Protoform OP goes all Dawn-of-Justice-Batman and clings to the ceiling staring down like one bad Martha-trucker. :p The Optimi all load their guns with stun rounds as they are determined to prove to Megatron that they can resolve this without killing anyone. Except RiD OP who sticks with his trusty axe. ;)

That night the assassins arrive. They demand to see Megatron, but Orion demands that they can only do this with written authority. They produce an authenticated order document signed by Zeta Prime (although without any explanation as to why). Orion Pax says that he won't recognise Zeta's authority since he's "mysteriously" gone missing. The assassins argue that the order was signed before Zeta's disappearance and that it is still legally valid. Out of arguments, Orion draws his rifle and begins firing stun rounds. Protoform and RiD OP also attack. The assassins have been equipped with reinforced armour plating, and they are carrying all manner of concealed weapons (none of which have a stun setting), and thus they begin fighting back. Orion and the two Optimi continue their offensive, with both Optimi sustain considerable damage. RiD OP literally disarms one of the assassins by chopping both arms off, then Orion immediately leaps in and throws a stasis collar on the "disarmed" assassin. They then help Protoform OP to subdue the second assassin and stasis cuff him.

That's all I'm up to. Time to head back to the toy room. :D

P.S.: Orion proved to be a massive pain in the butt to transform to vehicle mode! His upper torso part got really stuck and I had to use a LOT of excessive force to free that sucker! Got a freakin' callous on my finger tip thanks to it.

This seems like a fun thread. I did actually come up with a story whilst playing around with my Transformers.

07 Movie Deluxe Jazz seems to be in a state of urgency, as he speeds up in the harsh deserts of Nevada. He finally arrives at the US Air Force Base, where there seems to be chaos at every corner. Jets, tanks and jeeps were effortlessly tossed in every direction, causing pits of flames to rise out of the builidngs, as the Autobots launched their assult on ROTF Voyager Starscream and his malicious henchmen. Aiding the Autobots in their attack were Setsuna F. Seiei, pilot of the Real Grade 00 Raiser, and Kamile Bidan, pilot of the Real Grade Zeta Gundam. Feeling the urge to help out his fellow comrades, Jazz joins the battle as he faces off against the fearsome Master Grade Sinanju, piloted by Full Frontal, a man seeking revenge against the Autobots as he believes that they were responsible for the deaths of his loved ones. The Sinanju gains the upper hand, as Jazz is tossed around, crashing into building to building; however, his spark still ignites with resilience. Unfortunatly, this isn't enough as Jazz is lying helpless on the ground. Before Full Frontal takes the finishing blow, he is suddenly attacked by a red and blue longnose semi truck with flames. The grill of the truck then splits itself. The front of the cab also splits apart as the truck seems to lift itself of the ground. The wheels collapse on what appears to be legs, while the sides of the cab rotate forward, forming hands and fingers in the process. Finally, a samurai shaped head pops out as the doors of the truck collapse onto the front windows. "About time you arrived", muttered Jazz as he tries to lift himself up. The truck now had the shape of a giant, red and blue robot. It was at that moment that Full Frontal knew that it was the one he was looking for all these years. His name, cherished by the Autobots, but despised by the Decepticons. He was indeed 07 Movie Leader Optimus Prime.

Had a little play sesh the other day with TR Blurr, Kup and Hot Rod who discovered a strange portal. Blurr used his speed to run through it and ended up in the Movieverse where he met up with TLK Optimus Prime. Introductions were made and Optimus Prime asked Blurr how Haywire is able to survive when Blurr accelerates and moves at such high speeds, because quite frankly the G-forces should by all rights squish Haywire's body into a bloody paste. Blurr explains that Haywire's suit (Blurr's head) is equipped with inertial dampeners and that the "antenna" sticking out from the top of Blurr's head is an 'inertial exhaust' - it funnels out all the deadly excess inertia that would ordinarily kill a human/Nebulan. Thus the amount of inertia that Haywire is exposed to is lowered to a manageable 9g's (about as much as jet fighter pilots endure).

Note that inertial dampening is all just works of science fiction - it's a convenient way of describing why people and stuff don't go flying all over the place (https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/39737871670548113/C7398A234DC5588F0799EB4A0FC850C676176914/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-format=jpeg&output-quality=95&fit=inside|637:358&composite-to%3D%2A%2C%2A%7C637%3A358&background-color=black). :p So yeah... inertial funnels! :o

Siege Shockwave has been building his own personal fleet of attack drones (the Voyager armour :p) at his space station lab. Thing. Generations Jetfire and Springer decide to bust in and take them out with Jetfire fighting the drones and distracting Shockwave's attention, while Springer breaks into the space station and fights through Vehicons to get to Shockwave. During the fight Jetfire manages to lure Shockwave out into battle while Springer plants an explosive in the lab. Just before the bomb detonates, Springer hops into Shockwave's experimental star fighter (Combiner Wars Shockwave turned upside down) known as the Astro Magnum. He and Jetfire escape just as the bomb detonates, engulfing Shockwave in the explosion. Springer uses the Astro Magnum's space fold engine to get back to Cybertron so that Autobot scientists can begin analysing the tech while Jetfire uses his own hyperdrive to get back (albeit at a slower speed than the Astro Magnum).

A team of Vehicons arrives at the remains of the space station searching to see if Shockwave survived. They find him in gun mode but in stasis lock and take action to revive him. Shockwave awakens to discover that he can feel emotions again but hides this from the Vehicons. He tells the Vehicons that he must search for the stolen Astro Magnum and tells them to continue their investigation of the base attack. Shockwave arrives on Cybertron and surrenders himself to the Autobots, demanding an audience with Optimus Prime. He tells Prime (Classics OP) that he has regained his sense of emotions that was stripped away during Empurata. Optimus recognises his old friend (Senator Shockwave) but isn't sure if this is genuine or a ruse. He brings Shockwave to Perceptor's lab where RTS Perceptor uses a reverse-engineered and heavily modified Psycho Probe to determine Shockwave's true intent. Shockwave calls this device a "lie detector" but Perceptor insists that it's not and that calling it a lie detector would be a gross understatement. During the use of the device Perceptor comes to realise that it is a truth serum^lie detector. :p They determine that Shockwave is telling the truth.

Shockwave explains that simple defection would not work as he would create enemies on both sides who want to kill him. Instead he proposes that they help him construct a new body and he would upload a special program into his old body that would make it behave like himself but then they would stage his death. The old body's arm laser would also be rendered ineffectual (i.e. set it to a non-live ammo training setting) but the Autobots would use full strength ammunition. This is also top secret, so any Autobots who would respond to Shockwave's staged attack would have no knowledge and everything would appear real. Shockwave, Perceptor and Jetfire work on building Shockwave's new body (Jetfire notes the irony that he is helping to recreate the Decepticon who created him). The new body is able to transform between Autobot and Decepticon, as Shockwave would use his new identity coupled with his inside Decepticon knowledge (including access codes) to spy on the Decepticons. This new identity is called Punch/Counterpunch (POTP) and Shockwave's Spark is transplanted. New false files on Punch and Counterpunch are uploaded into the Autobot and Decepticon databases to make it appear that both characters have existed for centuries - in the case of Counterpunch he was fighting Autobot forces in the Outer Rim as a lone special operative but has recently been recalled.

The lifeless but preprogrammed old Shockwave body is set to attack random Autobots in public in Iacon but it is quickly destroyed by responding Autobot forces, including Punch (helping to sell the idea that Punch was on Cybertron while Counterpunch was in transit from the Outer Rim worlds when Shockwave was killed). And that's as far as I've played this campaign up to... toys are still on my toy room floor awaiting the next chapter! :D
