Hello folks!

I've been trying to find information on a particular item i've had since childhood. I have searched high and low, and until now, never really got anywhere (99% of the time my searches yeilded only information on recently made merch after the new Transformers film was released).

This place is the closest i've gotten to finding the answers i need, only there doesn't seem to be a search function around here! (I may just be blind) and i don't have enough time to trawl through endless pages of threads to find what i'm looking for. Also the sections which i assume i would be most likely to find this information are set to 'Private' for my account so i'm unable to view them.

My Query:

I own an (original) Transformers sleeping bag. I imagine it will be the childs variety, it is about the size of a single bed when unzipped and laid flat. If i remember correctly it is the Optimus version, and in very good condition (clean and undamaged). I've had this since either the late 80's or early 90's, and it may even have been second hand.

Would someone be able to give me any information on how rare it may be, and if possible, an estimate on a value? I'm hoping some of you may have bought or sold one yourselves.

All of the information relating to size and cover art are rough guesses, i'm away from home until Christmas and i can't double check any of the facts

Used ones dont fetch that much. Your better off starting an auction with a high price and hope some1 bids on it.

MISP (mint-in-sealed-pack) will command considerably more.

Put it this way. Doonas, sleeping bags, sleepingwear alike where hygene is of utmost importance. People ain't gonna wanna reuse a 25 year old second-hand (possibly third-hand) item.

MISP has value because people will collect them as a merchandise. And its not that rare. It regularly pops up on US ebay. However whats working for you is that the international shipping cost for this item is very high. People that is aware of this will compensate you with higher bids for a domestic auction.

I bought one from a fair a while back. Didn't pay much for it... would've been $20 or less. :/
