These were found a couple weeks back in the US, and it seems to be a way of making these overpriced cars a little better value. Matchbox and Hotwheels sell for about AU$3 each, while the single packed TFs themed vehicles are about AU$9.
Anyway, if these appear in Australia, it'll be too late for some of us, and have others questioning the value of the regular 2-packs, if these bonus 2-packs are priced at the single-pack price.

So far found are 8 different Bonus Packs:
Optimus Prime & Bumblebee
Optimus Prime & Ratchet
Ironhide & Sideways
Ironhide & Bumblebee
Megatron & Ratchet
Megatron & Bumblebee
Long Haul & Bumblebee
Long Haul & Ratchet
(just wave 1 & 2 single-pack vehicles)
I really love these RPMs Minivehicles, but as with any of the non-convertable TFs products, they are priced way over what they should be.
