MY DINO COMBINER

Well its only been 3 days and its nearly finished...

Thanks to some tips from KelvinChang99 from OZFORMERS here my combiner has come along nicely in just 3 short days...

ALWAYS wanted my own dino combiner and thanks to Kelvin I now have a nearly finished one :)

This combiner requires 6 figures as advised by KelvinChang99 , 5 would have looked so silly. so i had to use 2 Slags for the legs, a snarl for the lower chest piece , grimmy for the top piece of the chest and swoop and sludge for the arms..
All pieced together to the spare Unicron body that i had ... I have turned the feet around so that the bigger parts now face forward as there is more weight on the front of the toy now
not to mention that they actually look better as the feet anyway. Painted the torso and other parts a nice silver metallic colour to blend with the dinos...

Just waiting for the arms to dry then will add pics of Right arm (sludge) and left arm (swoop) And it will be complete once i find a head to attatch to him :)

I really like what you have done with the 2 feets. Very interested to see how the grimlock works out in the end in combo mode.

Hey brilliant work... 3 days.. !! thats faster than the time I spent on mine.. Well done. I like how this is coming along.. I particularly like how the chest has been put together. Slightly different from my approach. Looks sturdy too. :eek:

Now, you need another set to do the toon styled...:p

Looking very tidy. What sort of head are you planning on using?

I dont have any other spare parts so might just use the unicron head until i find something better as i dont want to try and paint the unicron head ....

I did find some oversized Jetfire rocket boosters to fit onto his back too :)
Just need to paint them

I reckon cutting off the horns and using paint to simulate some different detail would look awesome.

TBO I dont really want to use Unicrons head I want something a little different but just need to wait until I find something thats right for it :) :cool:

Hi Sound,

Great job. I reckon this custom will be 10 times better with a new head. I used the Movie Meg magnet head initially and there werent many people who liked it.. I didnt like it either.. then went with Supreme Starscream's head with a mod and made a world of difference. But awesome in the shot space of time to own your own dinotitan.

Question, I am curious to find out why you decided to put swoop on that angle? I would have gone abit higher with Sludge on the shoulder as it seems to interfere with the articulation in the arm.

Just my 2 cents.. well done.

Sludge went there because I dont have the piece that encloses unicrons hand so its just a big open gap if sludge isnt covering it ...

I wont be taking him apart anytime soon so im happy to not have much articulation..
My interest in this project was to simply have a G1 looking Dinobot Combiner and i'm extremely happy i stumbled upon your work and the fact that u didnt mind helpin me ith ideas for it ...

In my eyes this is the show stopper of my collection but will gradually add improvements to it once more ideas come up :)

the dinobots on the arms look a bit weird to me. i prefer the traditional style where like on superion or menasor.

i remember when i watched transformers as a child i wonder why didnt the dinobots combine?

Well it was done in just shy of 4 days so yeah i guess there are lots of things i could do to make it better... I have been looking at it wondering what needs a bit of changing :) :cool:

I still think its awesome but seeing swoop there it looked like he was just stuck on for the laughs.

but maybe you could have him upright on the left arm with wings folded - which fold out to form a shield. and maybe you can use grimlock's (MP or Animated) Sword as the main weapon.

i was watching the TFs movie again the other day, and it was so sad to see devestator kick the crap out of the dinobots. seriously they were on screen for like a minute and they did barely anything. damn that glory hogging optimus prime.
