If I bought this dsl and I also buy a clear crystal case for it. Would it get water marks? I use to have a black dsl and when I used the crystal case it would make water marks, please help me out here. BTW what's a good game to buy? Please don't say chrono trigger, guitar hero or GTA.

One more thing, does anyone know where I could get a anti glar screen shield from?

I'm not sure about the crystal case (I'm not even sure what you mean by watermarks... how is it getting wet? Do u mean sweat?)
But, if i were to look for an anti-glare screen shield, i'd look on Play Asia (http://www.play-asia.com) or ask around in a local retailer like EB or Game Traders.
As for games, there are heaps i could recommend, but some of my favourites are:
Planet Puzzle League
Elite Beat Agents (and it's Japanese counterpart Ouendan 1/2)
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
Contra 4 (this is quite hard though!)
New Super Mario Bros
Mario Kart DS
The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Metroid Prime Pinball
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (or it's sequels Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia, though i haven't played them, i'm sure they'd be good)

It's not wet. When something is glossy like a dsl touches other glossy stuff like a crystal case, it creates this yuck water mark affect. e.g if you have a black macbook and you place a white clear keyboard silicon over it, you see patches of water marks.

Buy a Cyclo DS Evolution for slot 1, and an Ezi 3-in-1 for slot 2, then get a hold of Quake 1 and Quake 2 and you can play them homebrew on your DS

Cyclo DS card info here -> http://www.cyclopsds.com/cgi-bin/cyclods/engine.pl

Buy them here -> http://www.ozmodchips.com/dsds-lite-c-8.html

Get the extra software needed to run Q1 and Q2 on your DS here -> http://quake.drunkencoders.com/

I bought a DS ages ago and never used it...Later tried the PSP and never used it either...I like to listen to my MP3 player when I'm using public transport/wasting time and use my PS3, 360 & Wii for gaming. :D My advise is buy the Transformer - he will be with you for life and, like a classic car, his price will only appreciate with age!

But is there any chance it's a K.O? I mean he has a tri force gold ds but isn't that meant to come with phantom hour glass? Same goes for the pink nintendogs ds.

Have there even been any KO ds made? I don't wanna buy a non officially licensed nintedo ds lite system.

Why don't you consider buying a NDSL from local retail? Yes it is more expensive but you are guaranteed to get the real deal plus you get warranty and customer support from Nintendo. Plus if you get a NDSL from eBay even if it is a real one it would come with an oversea power adaptor which would probably not work locally anyway i.e. waste of money. The red NDSL with the New Super Mario Bros. bundle that you can get locally is quite attractive.

I hate the red one with mario logo on it. I only have money for this one, I read some of the feed back and it's 100% real. The description states that it comes with a power adapter for AU and a screen protector. This also comes with a crystal case because I asked nicely. Anyways thanks for the help dude!

I use one of these:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8525

I got mine from jbhifi for $10.

You can totally leave the ds in it while you play.

As for homebrew stuff, just buy this and you'll have the best one available:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14165

Comes with slot1&2 devices, (ram & rumble), microsd to usb adaptor and clear casings for the slot2 if you wanna change it.

The slot2 memory is 32MB. For slot1, I'm running a 8GB microsd card in mine, only costs like $25 for that card. And the sakura interface is great.

Oh yea, best thing about this bit of kit is that I can try before buying games, and keep all of my bought games on the device, no swappings carts ever again, and you can change the brightness in four steps. 1 dark to 4 brightest. The nds always seems to default to the brightest and battery life sucks, but I run mine on 2, and battery lasts significantly longer.

It's a bit pricey.

AUS has the worst video console colors. No white ps3, no lime green and crimson red dsi, no black wii..........

Unless you can read japanese, I'd highly advised against it. My sister-in-law got a DSi for her son when they went to Japan earlier this year only to discover the menus are in japanese (naturally) with no way to change them (legally). But they are cheaper at only $240 each.....

Wow that sucks, i knew the firmware changed on DSi, but i didn't realise they took out the ability to change language! I guess that's part of their revitalised stance against importing :(

You're kidding right?

It's the cheapest you'll find anywhere. You could buy it from here if you want:

All the more reason to just get a lite. I umm'd and arrr'd over them both and decided that the lite is the best value for money for what I wanted to do with it. Plus I think that 2x 1mp, yes, 1mp cameras are a total waste of time.

I saw it online for $252 AUD shipped any color form japan. Red,green, blue, white, black or pink. It does suck about the language thing but I can get over it, another thing is that you can't go on the dsi store to get dsi ware unless they are free, you would need Japanese dsi points.

I reckon this could be the nintendo DS thread, so here goes:

A heap of games on sale right now at bigW. I got gta chinatown for $25 (was $58), and super mario bros for $40 (was $65).

Have R4i's been blocked out by Nintendo since the 1.4 firmware update or is there new firmware? I know that some DSi flash cards work because the manufacturers have foreseen these sorts of things (ie. M3i0 cards).
