Afternoon all.

I picked up RotF for the PS3 today and also downloaded the map pack. Now I'm in the mood for some multiplayer Transformers goodness.

I finished the Autobot campaign and started the Decepticon one, but haven't played single player since I starting playing mulitplayer. I love it. Until now the only online games I'd played were Mario Kart and Pokemon: Battle Revolution on the Wii.

Only if you promise to be gentle too. I went multiplayer for the first time last night and landed slap bang in the middle of a battle and lasted all of 15 seconds:p

Lol, I had the opposite for my first match the other day, just me and some other dude and he was BAAAAAAD... I'm talking me standing in his plain view for 30 seconds allowing him to shoot at me so I didn't feel so bad whooping him over and over... and he still missed... Do blind people play games now?

Just so you know though, I am new to PSN games, but I have played some PC online games, but seeing as the PS3 controller feels so wierd to me for shooter games, you'll still get me =o)

Too often I've been in a match and it's been me versus three others. After the match I have received emails saying thanks for sticking it out and not quitting because I'm getting my arse handed to me. Good sports. :p

Had a brilliant one-on-one ranked battle the other night. We were evenly matched, and out of three matches all of them were decided in the final seconds. Did an entire 20-minutes battle as G1 Prime vs G1 Megatron too. Helped get a couple of trophies.

Best I've had was when I was playing Deathmatch against some kids in England. How could I tell? Benefit of us all having headsets and I can hear their whinging down the line. "Oh, you killed me! That's not fair, we're on the same team!". Deathmatch, buddy. No teams. :cool:

No. I think Guts is onto something about the game being from overseas. I think I got it from England. Anyway I'm going down to the local video store and my friends who own it are lending me a copy to see if that is the problem. Hope that'll solve it.

Let us know how it all goes. The extra content is great, love the additional characters. Personally I'm hoping they keep doing more downloadable content to gets characters like Jolt, Arcee, the Constructicons, the extra 'fodder' characters like the other forms of Aerialbot, Protectobot and even the Combaticons. And of course more G1 characters. :D

I have a headset. I've noticed a lot of crackle down the line, especially the first time I was in a match with someone else who had one and the sound was completely indistinguishable until the guy logged off and said 'I'm going now'. I wonder if it depends on internet connection and where in the world they are, because the kids in England I could hear fine.

Yeah I agree (once I get the dlc sorted) we should try and organise an online ozformers match. Although with time zones it could be a bit difficult.

I'm generally on any time after 10/10:30pm, but if there's nothing good on tv I can be on much earlier. Though the fact I'm in Queensland and the State Government has an incessant need not to switch us to daylight savings means I'll have to compensate for that hour difference.

I'm going to be pretty booked over the next week however so probably won't get much time to jump on. Have to go on five dates in five days. :p

I've been contemplating that too. I came to the conclusion that perhaps Sunday would be the day with most possible hits, but naturally to throw a spanner in the works, I work most Sundays...:rolleyes:

I am usually on after 6.30am- about 9am weekdays. Those are the times that I am free-est. Aside from that it depends on my work roster. Times are WA standard time.

You eaterners in DST yet, we should be able to make something up.

Yes we are in daylight savings now. Although no one told me and I lost an hour over the long weekend lol:p. I don't normally get a chance to get the PS3 active until after 8pm at night after my son goes to bed and most of my weekends are spent trying to finish off my house atm. but we are all intellegent humans I'm sure we can work something out.

Like wise. I have had a few.... issues. Ass kicking is one of them. I was running around and saw my energy low, so I drove for it and got out of the action, yet my energy kept runing out. as far as I know no-one was shooting me but I still died..... Aparently a dude playing as Blackout killed me, but I had no rocket fire coming at me...:confused::confused:

Anybody else find the red coming over the screen annoying? I play the game on the couch a way away from the telly, and with the red on the screen makes it really hard to see, especially when you wanna get out of a place qucik smart, but i drove into a wall coz I couldn't see a dman thing!:mad:

Yeah I totally agree I hate the red screen. Not only do I drive into walls when the screen goes red but I also do it normally anyway because the vehicles go too fast for my reflexes:o (guess I'm getting old)

So what say we all get online and you guys can shoot each other while Tets and I drive into walls:p

Hehe we just got converted to the Playstation side as well after trading in our xbox360 and PSP for a PS3 over the weekend. I already have a gamertag which goes by the same forum nick I have, but I haven't had a chance to play online yet.. :P

Dont feel bad. I am in the same boat. Half the time I am on the other side of the map just having a little spin-out session at how cool it is to see battles happening on the other side of the map. If I get involved, invariably I die fairly quickly...

As for the friends battle, I will try and get the ball rolling. On tuesday 27th october, I will be hanging around on-line with my PS3 between the hours of ~5.30pm-~7.15pm Western time, (is that 8.30 or o Sydney time?). So if anyone happens to be free, feel free to shoot me.:p

I'll do my best to jump on then.

Generally I'm on whenever I get the chance, but half the time I log off after 20 minutes of trying to join a game and constantly getting the message "Unable to connect to all players in game". Is that a common message for everyone? Even the other night when Jaisun was online I tried to join his game and couldn't. In the end I host my own but no one ever comes in, so Multiplayer has really been giving me the s***s lately.

A little off topic, has anyone used the Playstation Home thingy yet? I've been meaning to for a while but don't really have any idea what it actually does.

I had that cnt connect to all players message once. Never come across it before though. I just retried andmanaged to get the net game going.

The playstation home thingy? Is that the bit where you have to download a little programme and then can meet and chat online? If so then, yes I have used it. You can make an avatar of yourself and go around various locations chatting with other users. I just had a quick go wondering what it was all about. I actually remember downloading a "Female decepticon revenge t-shirt" tshirt or something from the PS storefor free and wondered what it was. Finally found out after I was muacking about with the avatar settings.

Would be handier to use had I a keyboard that works with PS3...

I swear I get that error at least 30 times in a row before being able to join a game, and when I finally do they're never full. Weird.

I should be on tonight around the time you are, Tetsuwan. Attempting to smash young British children is just what I need to take my mind off a lot of crap right now.

There is an option to limit the session to private players. Must have to be invited to join.

Dang that was a bit of a fail. Wonder what was up with the connection shenanigans. Managed to have a bit of a bash with Just me and G1 Optimal, but just couldnt manage to connect with Sleeve and damn did I try!

Oh and apparently the words connect and joint are naughty words according to PSN.

I wonder if port forwarding is needed or if differing connection speed affect anything? I know that the Call of duty world at war reccomends port forwarding for its multiplayer. I only hve PF on for ahem *other* activities...
