I must admit that I didn't notice this in the cinemas (even at IMAX), but according to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_Revenge_of_the_Fallen) Demolisher is called "Wheelbot" and Rampage is called "Skipjack" in the ending credits, as these were their names during production before they were finally called Demolishor and Rampage. It seems that whoever was in charge of the ending credits didn't bother to update those names. Oops.

Now prior to 2007 I would think to myself, "It's okay, I'm _sure_ they'll fix that up in the DVD" - as usually happens in many other movies... but ya know, that's what I told myself when I saw Brawl being called Devastator in cinemas, and lo and behold, he's still called Devastator on the DVD!

The ROTF DVD is slated to come out on November 5th according to this thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=5683). So from now until then let's place our bets! Do we think Paramount will correct this mistake or will it remain! If it does remain, then doesn't that mean that Demolishor and Rampage's names will be _officially_ Wheelbot and Skipjack respectively in the film? After all, there have been plenty of times when a Transformer's name differs between toy and screen, such as:
+ Jetfire -> Skyfire (G1 cartoon)
+ Beast Changer -> Noble/Savage (Beast Machines cartoon)
+ Decepticon Brawl -> Devastator (Transformers live action movie)
+ Scalpel -> The Doctor (Revenge of the Fallen)

Now if their names are corrected on the DVD we could consider that a retcon, but otherwise I think it means we would add...
+ Demolishor -> Wheelbot
+ Rampage -> Skipjack

I'm personally rather skeptical so I'm betting they won't. ;)

I 'd be surprised if they changed it. I like these names, they should be assigned to the legends class toys.

I don't think Demolishor or Rampage are ever refered to by their toy names, so I think it's unlikely it will be changed.

I don't actually care anyway. The fans know who they are, and those who aren't into the toys can call them what they want.

It's not like all other movie credits are perfect either - staying within TFs, the original animated movie listed about 10 characters who didn't even get a line in the film!

Starscream refers to Rampage by his name when they "spring the trap" with Sams parents.

RARGH! 89% of us voted "no" and it looks like 89% of us were right!

I picked up the ROTF 2-disc Special Edition set on Monday, and sure enough, the credits still refer to Rampage and Demolishor as "Skipjack" and "Wheelbot"! I even paused that part of the credits just to be sure!

Man this is massively disappointing, but sadly it comes as _no_ surprise. *massive.sigh*

I would like to see the movie accurate redecos to be called Wheelbot & Skipjack, hell I'd buy them if that was the case.

they would be able to get away with Wheelbot cos I don't remember Demolishor ever being referred to by name in the movie, but Rampage was actually called Rampage in the film, contradicting any reference to him as Skipjack.

I do like the idea of releasing repaints of these moulds with those names though. :)
