Kinder Surprise G1 Chainclaw. Not sure what other people think of the beast Pretenders but put me down as a fan! Very contrasting looking toys with
the shell being a menacing looking bear and the inner bot being a very cute robo bear.

I think even a Decepticon would be more inclined to want to scratch baby Chainclaw under the chin than shoot at him...Maybe that's when he gets 'em! :D

They only made two puzzles, but im having trouble finding the second one, so ill have to patient!

This toy was a beeotch to find. I initially went to Big W Winston Hills and the guy told me that the toy was sold out as soon as the store opened. Apparently there were about a dozen guys lining up outside the shop before opening and they rushed in and bought and lay-buyed every toy. Scalper senses tingling (and janglies-kicking foot twitching!). (-_-) After some choice words, I then rushed off to Big W Blacktown and there were NO Devastators to be seen! I was quite... well... I was devastated! Due to all the running I'd been doing (as well as doing sport in 36 degree heat), I probably looked like I was hyperventilating; one store attendant came up to see if I was okay, I told him that I was looking for Combiner Class Devastator. He asked me a few more times if I was alright, and I told him I was (though he seemed unconvinced since I was speaking to him while gasping for breath!) - he then told me that he'd check the back store room while I caught my breath. Shortly after he came back with a Devastator toy! I thanked him profusely. So yeah... I managed to get one just after giving up hope! :D

Damm Goki, this morning at Blacktown (I went in at 8:30 when they opened) they had like 20 Devy's, I laybyed one and the only other people even remotely interested were these 2 ladies who both laybyed one each.

Apart from Laybying my Devy, in the mail today came a G1 rubber wheeled ultra magnus, only missing weapons & fists, though I don't mind because that one is staying in Truck mode

Im very satisfied with Thrust, he has a really good looking alt mode and his bot mode is very satisfying - much better than the Autobot Breakaway.
Plus this is my very first Thrust in any form :)
Ravage is also very well designed as a figure, even if his transformation is almost non-existent.
Legends The Fallen has pretty good poseability for his size.
Also, Legends Jetfire now has someone to merge with!

And now onto my main acquisition - my Birthday present to myself - TF2 Movie Devastator!

I also went to Winston Hills Big W yesterday to look for him, only to find a heap of the 5 pack Cybertron figures. So decided to wait till today, and to my luck found him at the nearby Big W before going to Uni :D

Simple transformation but very well in scale in bot mode with my newly acquired Legends. The Constructicons are solidly built, even if a little simple.
Overall I'm very satisfied with Devastator and happy to spend the same amount as a Leader (only just).

Now if only I was in Egypt for a shot of him on the Pyramid of Giza :p

Got BT-20 Argent Meister in the mail today from leigeprime (thanks man =oD)

Although I greatly appreciate leigeprime for the purchase, I think this is the official end of my BT interest (for no reasons related to leige btw =oP). Alternators Smokescreen was the figure that got me started with Transformer collecting as an adult, even more so when I discovered Binaltechs (as I loved the die-cast of my long lost G1's), and yet, my latest 2 BT's (BT-20 & BT-21) seem to have become victim to cost cutting. When I got my batch of BT-01, BT-03, BT-04, BT-08 & BT-10, I loved the die cast panels, the colour manual booklet, the collector card etc. Now, you get the same black and white fold-up instructions like all other figures, no card, and now with BT-20, I discover that the MazdaSpeed bodykit panels that differ from the BT-08 I already own, are molded in plastic! Although this was an unexpected disappointment, I could handle it a little better if they were actually painted decently. Instead, there are quite a few imperfections, and the actual figure quality felt quite 'tackier' compared to the earlier BT's, drawing further attention to cost cuts. Is this what we are to expect now that it's TakaraTomy? Or is it just me...?

November haul:

G1 Jetfire - Finally added a 100% boxed Jetfire to my collection, the gunclip is my own to complete this set. Box is not as minty (or expensive) as others I've seen but I don't mind.. It is in one piece.

I would have been about 10 in the UK when I got this guy for Christmas but for a few days before I was sneaking the box out of the wrapping, checking him out, carefully wrapping him back up then stashing him back under the tree.

A few days later my family moved to Australia and I can distinctly remember running up and down the corridors of some hotel with him in Jetmode in the early hours of the morning. Hence the significance of this figure to me. The box still seems huge.. but back then it was ENORMOUS :p

Gonna hold back grading for the euros for awhile.

I don't think i'l ever grade the classics. Simply because finding MISB english boxed ones i.e. cars, dinos is unbelievably difficult, much more so than the USA ones.

Not too sure about the monstructor bots, I already have a graded scowl, I got this one because it was unpunched, but I highly doubt it will come close to the grade of my current one, something will have to give, unpunch vs lower grade. Slog was an epic fail.

Not bad eh! They may be small but they're definitely not lacking any detail. I just added the extra missile launchers for Slag and Snarl in robot mode so they look even cooler now, hehe.

Few things to keep in mind if you decide to buy a set:
1. Swoop comes packaged in his Pteranodon mode - when transforming him into robot mode, be aware that you will need a small philips head screwdriver to losen the 4 screws in his back before you try to pull his chest outwards (it's initially far too tight and you'll break your nails trying if you don't do this!)

2. Be very, very careful when sliding Grimlocks 'robot' head. I must have used a bit too much force and broke mine clean off! This is not to say the toys aren't well made, overall they are extremely solid and the plastic feels good (there's diecast too!)

3. Grimlock's robot waist stickers are going to get smooshed when you transform him back into his T-Rex mode. Luckily the Justitoys waist stickers are identical to the Repro's so you've got a good backup set but it's a bit annoying seeing as Sludge is similarly designed in this area but doesn't have a problem.

All in all though I highly recommend them, they are worth every brass razoo and with some of them like Swoop and Grimlock you even have the option to go with 'anime accurate' stickers (I decided not to, although I'll prolly get another Grimlock down the track, hehe). Let me know if you want more detailed/varied shots. :)

I didn't leave my name nor did I even ask for any of this stuff! The store managers actually hold back this stuff for me because they know I visit their shops a lot! I just walk into Jayjays and the managers are like, "Hey, we got something for you!" A manager at one store told me that they talk about me during their staff meetings, and she's told her staff to hold back any Transformer display stuff for me and that if anyone else asks for them then the answer is automatically no. I _never_ asked them to do any of this, two managers from two different Jayjays just decided to reserve all their Transformer displays for me by default! :D

First of all it would mean more moving parts which would make it more costly (remember that Hasbro budgets every last drop of paint!). Stockade may have opposable digits, but he doesn't have any accessories/weapons. And speaking of which, I find that to be the greatest weakness of Transformers with movable fingers -- they don't have "kung fu grip." i.e.: none of them can hold onto a weapon adequately enough and they tend to drop their weapons when you play with them. One way to compensate for this is to use a peg-hole like they do with Binaltech/Alternators... but I find that this system still doesn't provide a grip as strong as a solid hand. It's a moot issue with Stockade since he doesn't come with any accessories to hold, but I can understand why HasTak wouldn't want to do this with every Transformer toy.

I dont know if hes a repaint, I never saw Stockade so i dont know...I see your point about the movable fingers.I guess you cant have both moving fingers and accessories/weapons without making them more expensive to make.I still like it:):)

Yep gears has a different head mold only from what Ive seen in Pics.... but then sometimes wihth a new paint apps those "alien" head molds look the same to me :o.

nah same mold, same with amourhide/blue truck 2 pack. as in all the molds from first movie go into this moive line up unchanged because enough time has passed between the lines sort of thing i believe

Found yesterday and bought the four new Animated Activators - Soundwave, Fireblast Grimlock, Armor Up Optimus, Battlefield Bumblebee.
Not really desperate for these, but being the only ones there, I grabbed them mostly to bring to the meet in case they were gone that next day (so the others could be sure of a play with them).
As such, dirge was more keen on Soundwave than I, so I've only got the redecos left, and will get another Soundwave later.

Also picked up a TFs ceramic mug at Target.
Gotta get a few more for a new set to match the ones I got from the First Movie. :)

Yeah as mentioned by some of the guys above, the Parra fair was rather dry acquisition wise.

Managed to pick up a MISB Cybertron Quickmix for $15 though, so that was okay I suppose.

There was alot of die cast cars, coka cola merch, and various other things like disney statues and such. It has a bigger area, but it caters for more more die cast collectors, whereas Parra is a wide variety of things.

There were some really old Superman and other comics, some Marvel cards (all from the guy with the TFs) but thats about it. Don't think I saw many DC and Marvel figures, it was mainly die cast cars and stuff. Was good to check out, but we were in and outta there in less than an hour. It was air conditioned, which made us stay longer haha.

Yea it was in the big tent near aqua golf (never actually done that yet) I think that we should organise something like that for the next one, go to that fair and then aqua golf, would be fun.

I should have spoken to them about it while I was there, I think they had flyers but I didn't grab one, forgot to before we left. I'll try and find out when the next one is on or at least speak to them. If I call up Panthers or Penrith Council or something, they should know how to contact them or when the next one is on.

you don't even need to work together necessarily... just be aware that there's another Fair and try to avoid clashing dates! When I organised Sabretron 2004 I tried to make sure that it didn't clash with any other conventions, which wasn't easy and in the end we ran just one week after Animania. But at least there was that 1 week gap; Sabretron 2004 didn't directly conflict with any other conventions afaik. The Parramatta Fair has their dates set out _well_ in advance which are advertised on their web site.

It seems Buster Prime was released a few days early in limited quantaties, I was curious as HLJ listed him as low stock in my account, and NOV release on the main website. I wouldn't normaly use EMS, but he was linked with the valkyrie I bought on sale during HLJ's free shipping sale last week.

All in all November has been one lucky bargain month for collecting for me, with Busta Prime's free shipping and the cheap TF reissues, my valkyrie from the HLJ sale, and a 75% discounted GI Joe Pitt and Target exclusives it's been better than the June toy sales, although I spent more than I would have preffered for the month before Christmas.
