Would you say you're a good person? :)

Interesting.:)

Couple of q's though....

How does the gameshow know the truth to these questions?

Why wouldnt she have lied in the first place when these questions were asked before the show?

I believe they use the ever so trustworthy "lie detector" or polygraph machine to determine the "true" answer.

Damn writers strike is to blame for crud such as this getting made.

You can expect an Australian version very soon and it will be BIG HIT.

Sadly, it will also likely replace a much better and highly inovative series like it has already happened countless times on Aus TV.

the contestant is asked 50 questions under the watch of a polygraph machine before the show

out of those 50 questions, 15-20 questions is selected for the show. The contestant don't find out the truthfulness until the show.

They've taken the old idea of Church confession and commercialised it into a reality TV show! :p

Forget the extra Cardinal Sins, this is how the Church needs to be engaging people today! (j/k) :p :p

All the questions asked on the show were already asked earlier while plugged into the polygraph, so you'd think that if the person was being asked questions he doesn't want others to know about, they wouldn't go ahead with the show part. The first person on last nights show had a heap of questions he wouldn't have wanted his wife to know about, but still went ahead with the show. In the end, he didn't win any money, but would have revealed enough about his wife to have her leave him. With no guarantee of winning any money, it isn't worth risking a relationship over it.

Ahh but isn't it better that the Truth is out in the open? At least now she has a greater understanding of the man she's with.

I've missed the show on tuesdays :(

With so many questions asked before the show, the contestant will no doubt be gambling which questions will get ask on the show.

Agreeing with Griff... what kind of relationship is worth that amount of money??

So saying that you agree that lies and deception are acceptable to keep a relationship together?

hmmm you got a point there... but no... I don't accept lies or deceptions in a relationship...

just can't believe the type of people going on the show...

the show producers must be selective on who gets to go on the show and can create the most contravesies

Absolutely. I've been on a couple of game shows now and can't believe some of the underhanded things they do.

At the try-outs for 1vs100 you are given a 50 question quiz. Thought I did fine and was a shoe in with 45 right...especially considering the guy next to me got 19.
Then they made us all stand up and said, "Ok...everybody that got between 25 and 35 come with us for the next stage...everybody else...thank you very much...we may be in touch, you can go home now."
So on 1vs100 the actual 1 contestant will only ever be someone of percieved average intelligence. They don't want anyone lacking or harbouring too much knowledge.

Why is it most game show hosts remind me of Killian???

Why? Gameshows exist to provide entertainment. They don't exist to reward the contestants. That's just to keep the audience watching. A means to an end - it's not like they care if the contestants walk away with nothing.

well that's it... there's a big difference between admitting a "sin" to your spouse in privacy with expression of genuine regret and sorrow with an intention to reconcile as opposed to making a public confession on a TV game show because you're trying to win money.

Oh for sure. They would definitely screen their candidates - pick the dumbest people with some bad skeletons in their closet. They're not going to pick someone like Ned Flanders as a contestant anytime soon. ;)

I caught the first 15min of the show, but was bored out of my brain throughout most of that 15 min. I fail to see that attraction of watching some chump answer questions that are going to cause controversy. The way they managed to drag out the questions as well was ridiculous. Talk about running out of ideas.

PASS.

the pacing is too slow. Bring back Jerry Springer! :D
