So paint it yellow and make it a proper Fearswoop homage! (-_-) At least it's only a repaint of an existing mould and thus very easy to pass up. ;) I was much more aggravated with Energon Downshift (http://www.tfu.info/2004/Autobot/Downshift/downshift.htm) and Universe Tankor (http://www.tfu.info/2008/Decepticon/TFUTankor/tankor.htm) (the latter of which I boycotted in favour of Henkei Decepticon Octane ;))!

Another that you may be interested in is the Transformers Generations (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Transformers_Generations) book. It can be quite hard to track down a copy (not to mention expensive), but it's well worth it for the photography alone. It's written in Japanese.

Yeh I agree. When I was in Akihabara earlier this year, I checked out the specialty shops and looked at a few G1 boxed examples but they we're very expensive and obviously with online shopping so accessible, I couldn't help think of what I could get cheaper and not have to haul it back home undamaged.

I found the Takara reissue # boxes we're very expensive, you'll most likely pick up a better deal of Ebay than a day in Akiba. There are some limited release figures that were tempting, but not tempting enough at exorbitant prices.

Standard ROTF was pretty pricey too, in Toyworld and Yodobashi camera, you sort of expect it to be cheaper but its regular Toyworld prices. I did manage to pick up some MP seekers cheap because of "a damage boxo" :p and some cheap Henkei in the cheap shops down the backalleys.

Although I saw this Metal Gundam figure that I really like, it was very expensive so I passed on it but it has stayed with me for a while so I'll have to scratch that itch I think

I just wanna go there to see the cherry blossom festival, but since its prime holiday season at that time in Japan , flight costs would prolly be prohibitive, and also I wouldnt be able to communicate with most of the locals would frustrate me even more :(

It is a great book. I also have both GI Joe versions from Mark Bellomo aswell.

Agreed. The ROTF Legends sized figures are a big improvement over previous Legends sized class. Can't wait for Devastator when he's released early next year.

Got my ear pierced last friday (LEFT) and on monday I received my complete Sunstreaker. Paid $115 including shipping. Kinda strange, it was listed C6, it met all my requirements besides the rating of coarse. It came in a C9 or C8.5.

Curious to know, what is a good chemical to remove residue from a chromed area? Because when I used meth's it rubbed of the paint, and when I used it on transparent areas, it melts the plastic.

All you need is a damp cloth (water) and some elbow grease :) I wouldn't recommend using any chemicals on plastic or chromed paint apps as it will have a chemical reaction and potentially cause more damage than good. The best advice I can give is be patient and take your time because if you go for the 'quick fix' it always ends in tears.

i found a TFA board games pack for $30 at Uncle Petes Blacktown on friday. The box is in the shape of Optimus Primes truck mode and it contains a jigsaw puzzle, tic tac toe game,checkers game and TFA game, along with four tokens in the shape of Bumblebee,Prowl, optimus Prime and Bulkhead. they had about a dozen left..

I just received my Optimus Prime 20th DVD version. It is actually MP01 but it just didn't say it on box. note that the Masterpiece quality vary depending on year of made. My MP01 is made in 2007 (as I can see "hasbro 2006") on box.

Die cast material seems don't hold the paint tight. I already seen many paint drop/scratch spot before open it. The chest windows do not close aligned.

I think we all wish it was Breakdown, but alas, it is indeed Brakedown. :/ I sure hope that Hasbro has a good reason for doing this (e.g.: having lost the rights to the name "Breakdown"). One would dread to think that Hasbro would bastardise the Breakdown name for no good reason.

Oh, last Thursday I gots myself a pair of Megatron shorts from Jayjays. The price is down to $30 which is better than before, but still a bit pricey (I'd like to see it drop down to $20)

With Breakdown it's because he could cause other machines to break down, as stated in his tech specs bio:
"In car Mode, engine emits vibrations that cause mechanical failures in other vehicles.....In robot Mode, carries a concussion rifle which also causes mechanical failures."

As for "Brakedown"... umm... I guess it means he likes to keep his brakes down? He's probably one of those d***heads who like to p*** off other drivers by cutting in front of you and hitting their brakes and then they keep hitting their brakes to drive real slow, but if you try to overtake them they just quickly accelerate and cut you off. Happened to me once while I was driving down a 3-lane main road (but it was late at night so there were no other cars on the road at the time). The car was full of guys who turned around and laughed at me while they were driving at the speed of a slow bicycle and wouldn't let me pass them... they kept slamming their brakes trying to make me rear-end them. (-_-) Man Brakedown's a jerk!!

Thanks mate! I use my girlfriends Digital SLR which is a pretty old Pentax doo-dad (although she's going to upgrade to a Nikon D90 soonish). Photo was taken in RAW format (non-compressed) with autofocus and flash turned off.

It's not so much the camera that's made a difference in my photo's than it is the Light Tent I was just given for an early Xmas present. That combined with about 15 minutes work in Bridge/Photoshop (mainly to correct the whites) gives you the picture you see. :)

G1 Countdown arrived in the mail today. the base only minus the two small lasers, a mechanical arm, one short ramp, gunner pod, gantry/platform and countdown himself... but it gives my micromasters somewhere to hang out while I look for the rest.

Also received the 3rd Encore tapes set and as expected, they're great toys. Comparing my original Rumble (red one) to the Encore Rumble, I noticed that the red and black plastic is a bit washed out/transparent on the Encore compared to the very vibrant black and red on the original. It's not a deal breaker by any means but it's worth mentioning.

I wouldn't pay extra to get a Hasbro Overlord. I still find it hilarious that the version of Overlord that _was_ released in Australia is now more expensive and harder to find than the version that was only released in Japan. :) Overlord's not a priority for me, but I'll get whichever version is cheaper and easier to find... so probably the Japanese one. :p

...come on TakaraTOMY... give us Encore Overlord!!

Thanks to the Toys R Us sale I got me an animated voyager optimus prime... and I am VERY happy with it. Only niggles are the lack of neck movement and the axe. It's just too big. Love the water pistol though.

I don't like how the strobe lights can't lock into place in robot mode. I gotta be conscious to keep my thumb on it when I play with it otherwise it keeps flopping around, but this isn't always possible when you're making him do quick action poses (cos you're using both hands to move the rest of his body). It's so annoying. :( The lack of an Autobot insignia also irks me, and that spinning transformation gimmick also doesn't impress me. :/ I agree that the axe is fail. Ummm... the neck does move though (horizontal rotation). I like the faceplate gimmick... not quite as effective as Cybertron Optimus Prime because you can still see the plate when it's retracted, but unlike Cybertron Prime Animated Prime has a visible neck! ;) So considering this toy's aesthetics I think it was done well. :) I also like how he has a gun! So few Animated Autobots have guns.

It seems that all they reissue is Geewun with just a couple of exceptions but do they have other molds for the latter G1 years? If they do (they must have more than a few) why not ressue them? People would love an Encore Darkwing/Dreadwind set and their jet modes are realistic enough for wider appeal.

Guess they didnt save the later year molds, as I havent indeed seen any reissue of a later years TF mold other than the more famous ones - Kup, Hotrod, but none of the ones that for me count - headmaster juniors, Scorponok et al. ah well we can only hope they retro mold these......
