Such a simple transformation for such a spectacular looking G1'ish toy. It makes you wonder why they took 25 years to design one. Unicron I can understand. This will be bought on site (website) ;)

So it won't be available in stores here? Has this been confirmed?

It's most likely due to demand (or lack of). In predominantly "boys" toyline like Transformers female characters are traditionally not very popular. In the Hasbro market our first female Transformer toy (not including retconned female G1 TFs like Discharge) was Blackarachnia and Airazor in Beast Wars, but Blackarachnia was originally just a repaint of Tarantulas and Airazor's mould isn't very feminine (so much so that she's a male character in Japan!). Subsequent versions of both characters have featured more distinctly female designs, but they've never been pink like G1 Arcee.
I've noticed that even Animated Arcee isn't really pink (more like a fuschia) like the G1 character. I suspect that this was a deliberate choice from Hasbro as let's face it, it would be really weird seeing a Barbie-pink toy in the middle of a "boys" action figure aisle! I'm not saying there's anything inherently wrong with it, but from a marketing POV you can see how it wouldn't be terribly appealing.
HasTak did consider releasing an Arcee toy in 1987 as a Headmaster, which is why she became a Headmaster in The Rebirth. The toy would've been a pink and white repaint of Chromedome's body presumably with a different head. 1988's Minerva was the real first female TF toy that we had. If you look at Nightbeat it is a pretty gender-ambiguous mould. ;)

Good point; Ive never thought of it in that POV, the whole i dont want a pink toy male stereotype. personally i dont mind a pink toy both the movie arcees are pink although not Barbie pink, but i think its good to have some bright colors among a collection. I would like to buy this figure, but im not interested in collecting the animated line at the moment!

you do realise that im gonna have to buy two arcees and an extra chromedome now that youve said that one for the animated line and the other to cut up the head and make a custom of what could of been for g1

Not confirmed as in 'confirmed in writing', but I'm not going to hold my breath for a local release, run the risk of missing out, and having to pay scalper prices. US TRU exclusives have not been kind to us in the past. I hope I am proven wrong.

the animated arcee is a G1 style arcee i think. She is soooooooooo cute.
I wish there could be a voyager class arcee.
I don't like the motobike one in movie, though I have the toy.
BTW, I still saw one in TRU highpoint, melbourne, last week.

Sorry, but I would have to disagree with Arcee being a voyager size figure the same way I disagreed with Hasbro's decision to make a voyager size Powerglide in the Universe 2.0 line.
Arcee should always have been a deluxe class toy as she 'fits' in better with other G1 figures such as Hot Rod and Blurr.
Having her tower over these characters would just look awkward unless one were to recreate a scene from 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman' :D
