This link (http://www.notmartha.org/archives/2009/10/27/meat-hand/)was passed onto me a few weeks ago, and I decided to try it myself.

Basically, a meat-hand is a hand-shaped meatloaf, with added garnishes for a halloween-themed dish.

My steps:
- prepared some mashed potato and some meatloaf mix.
- put the mashed potato onto foil in a baking dish.
- pressed out a hand shape in the potato with my hand.
- filled out the shape with the meatloaf mix.
- covered it with processed cheese slices and tomato sauce.
- added bits of onion for the fingernails and wristbone.

- cooked in the oven for about half an hour.
- then grilled for another 5-10 minutes to brown the top (probably a little too long).

- serve and eat with more blood... I mean, tomato sauce... :p

Looks like a burns victim.

But seriously, we've all seen people with that type of skin before right? (minus the black burns), where it's "creased" and "shiney". Now we can call them cheese skin.
