Now that it has been released, and there probably won't be anyone here keen enough to spend the money to get one, a gallery of pics can be found here:

or mirrored here:

This was one of the figures that could be bought with the JP release of the TF2 movie on DVD, through the Amazon.jp website. As such, it is limited, and very expensive.

Phew! When I saw this title, I was ready to kill a bunny, having already bought Leader Prime, then read news of Buster Prime, got annoyed, then got Buster Prime, then read this (I LOVE black decos), got annoyed... But thankfully, the Hasbro grey and the yellow flames are doing very little for me, and seems quite bland overall imo. Blue blades are nice, but meh... The colors of Nightwatch Prime from Movie 1 are nicer to me. And seriously guys, wth?! Optimus has BLUE eyes, BLUUUUUE! Why they constantly give him green eyes is beyond me, even on Buster, the most movie-accurate Prime to date (I think...).

Wow, that looks better than I thought it would. Not nice enough for me to actually get one considering it's price and rarity (all my other limited black repaints were easy and cheap for me to get at the time; I'm far too cheap and lazy to get such repaints once they become difficult to find and expensive to purchase ;)). But still, I much prefer this black version over Nightwatch Prime.

I don't think most kids aren't as obsessed with screen-accuracy as adult collectors are. :) Stepping aside from our screen-accuracy bias and seeing it from a cosmetic visual appeal perspective, green (or better yet, yellow*) goes better on a toy with a blue head. Blue eyes look too bland as they blend more with the blue on the helmet. I have New Year Special reissue Convoy and even though they used a lighter sky blue to try to offset the darker navy blue of Prime's head, it still doesn't contrast as nicely as the original toy's yellow eyes (which I much prefer).

Green is inbetween blue and yellow (on the visible spectrum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visible_spectrum)), so I'm guessing that it was Hasbro's way of reaching a compromise to appease both camps.

*Yellow is considered to be a complementary colour for blue according to the Hue Saturation Value colour wheel (reference (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue))
