Your Best and Worst for 2009.

In terms of Transformers, what was the best thing and worst thing for you last year. Things like, best toy you got, toy you missed out on, event that happened, or didn't happen, or you weren't able to go to. Essentially, what Transformers-related things will remind you most of the year that was 2009?

Best.. ROTF Breakaway. I didn't have much money but I had read reviews that despite his crazy colours and silly look he was a much better figure "in person". I'm glad I got him (dark gold colour). He is a great trooper and I reckon a nice guy!

Worst.. ROTF Bludgeon (green Wreckage repaint) and jungle green Bonecrusher. Very uninspiring redecos.

Best: was going crazy and pretty much doubling my toy collection :D

Worst: ROTF.

Best toy: EZ Collection Devastator. So much awesome in a set of 7 little Constructicons. :)

Worst toy: Clone Trooper/AT-TE. Worst Crossover toy ever.

Best moment: ROTF IMAX premiere and running the OzFormers stall at the Smash! convention :) (thanks again to everyone who contributed!)

Worst momentmoments: Erm... I won't say, but most of you know what it was. (-_-)

-End of Animated show with Season 3. It was a decent ending to a good series but I'm sure many of us want more!!!

Best moments - Managing to acquire all of my outstanding 'grail' items in the 25th year of Transformers.

Worst moment - Winning tickets to the ROTF IMAX premier through a local newpaper competition and arriving 30 minutes late because they misinformed me on the start time. Sitting in the front row at IMAX = :mad:

I don't like how there is a complete lack of integration between his alt mode and his robot mode... it's basically him with a jet mold strapped to his back.

Best: Encore. 'nuff said.
Worst: Encore. Not enough of them. And no shockwave, jetfire, predaking, combiners bar bruticus.

Events:

Best: The ones we had and stealth transforming Griffins' TFs into alt mode.
Worst: The ones we didn't have and missing out on transforming Griffins' TFs into alt mode.

But seriously, the only thing that will remind me of 2009 as a year, is when I look at my spreadsheets and see the year of aquisition listed for the encore toys I got this year.

I am sooooo glad I recorded this when it was on CN. I've heard that there is a very strong chance that season 3 might never see the light of day on DVD because of the new media deal :(

best thing - 1# asian exclusive buster prime and jetfire (so freakin damn sexy), Zippo's microns (MISB love), Henkei thrust (damn sexy) and my favourite GiJoe Snake eyes/Optimus prime statue (thanks OS wherever you are) , giving cool TFs i no longer wanted to special people (esp. my cousins)
fav media - war within omnibus and TF animated season 2

worst things - jerks , i could have so much fun collecting this year....

Best - ROTF Nest Bludgeon, Completed the Deluxe Insecticons finally!, Henkei Coneheads, Add on stuff I got from FP via Kyle:D, AM Gutcruncher!

Worst - seeing ROTF on last full show... the moviehouse's had sound problems and the sound only got restored around the time Sideswipe was killing sideways and was a bit delayed :(,:mad:.... I shouldve waited for a DVD copy to go on real cheapo price. its not a movie "you gotta see", more of yeah if you saw it its ok, if not no biggie. Toy wise there was some QC probs with some scouts I bought in the ROTF line but other than that I concentrated more on buying what I like and more of G1 stuff so nothing really toywise

Best: The RotF Scouts. I can't pick one, but I can narrow it down to Ransack, Dune Runner, and Dirt Boss. These guys manage to be so good and also cheap, at least as far as cheap TFs go here.

Worst: Universe Cheetor. Great cheetah mode...robot mode is crap.

Moment:

Best: After looking for Animated Voyager Grimlock for ages, passing him in favour of SE Overkill (I didn't expect the SEs to be so widespread), and still looking for him-I found him, at Warringah Big W, and bought him. Best TF moment ever.

Worst: Animated being cancelled in favour of RotF. This was made even worse by RotF being very dumb and very loud.

Worst: The overall disappointment of ROTF as a film.

Best - MP Grimlock; Animated Season 3; ROTF (I loved it! I love seeing TFs battle it out at famous landmarks :)); Alternity Convoy - a Prime in Silver, in Car mode! I think he looks slick; ROTF Leader Prime, Universe Cyclonus

Worst - End of Animated, the endless bagging out of ROTF - why are so many people too critical of it??? I was satsified with it. Also looks like many millions of people were as well. Plus it maintained TF awareness into mainstream society. Well that is my opinion anyway.

I was satsified with it. Also looks like many millions of people were as well. Agreed... but there are also millions of people who thought it was garbage! In fact, judging by reviews/opinion polls/ratings/etc.... right across the world, I would say that there's a lot more people (ie, not just TF fans) who disliked it versus those who liked it!

Thats funny, everyone I speak to likes it, fans and non fans alike.

But in any case, there will always be people on both sides of the fence with any movie. Just this time, it seems more people decided to voice their opinions of it.

Best TF Toy: Buster Prime, (Quality).

Worst TF Toy: A tie between ROTF Ravage and Universe Stormcloud

Best TF Moment: ROTF IMAX premier, yeah the movie could have been better but the event was still something that doesn't happen every day, and seeing that forest battle on IMAX is a movie moment I will recall for a long long time.

Worst TF Moment: that point at which I lost complete faith in IDW's ability to create decent TF comics, and promptly stopped regularly picking them up.

Worst TF moment: Going to K-Mart Batemans Bay week in, week out to only find a dozen pegwarming ROTF Soundwaves.:(

worst; for the last 3 months going to 7 different shops every week only to find rpm's warming the shelves rather than any real movie transformers.
