Hey guys,

Henkei/universe/classics figures are freaken awesome but i've always felt that they could really do with some die-cast parts.

So i hope you guys will like my first heavily modded custom project.
its a headmaster sunstreaker based on IDW's machination storyline.

(NOTE: you'll need to log in to OTCA in order to see all the pics)

Robot mode (with original unmodified head):

Lamborghini Diablo die-cast re-shell with an unfinished "headless" headmaster :p:

Headmaster WIP:

Some new hands im currently considering:

Its a work in progress so all comments and/or criticisms are welcomed. :D

things i still need to do before i can even consider painting:
-Figure out what im going to do with his chest piece as he looks like a chubby b*stard with it on
-Build a head for the headmaster
-Sculpt in the gaps and sand down all parts for a flush fit
-Decide on which set of articulated hands to use
-Replace wheels with rubber tyre versions

Wow, this looks like a lot of work. Liking the progress so far.

I could never attempt anything like this. Don't have the time, patience, or know-how.

thanks for checking it out guys

I used a die-cast metal 1/32 scale model lamborghini diablo
not too hard to track down.

bcos i couldnt find any kabaya TFs or Headmaster junior figures, i had to "create" transformable joints in order for the headmaster to transform and still have some articulation. i thought that i could use the original face but i may have to sculpt it as well cos its not fitting right atm (which im really not looking forward to as its freaken tiny as it is!!!)

yeah it is a bit of work, but dont let that put you off from doing what you like (if this is the sort of thing that you like) as it is really rewarding once you finish it.
im still a noob at all this and definitely dont have the know-how. i just tried to tap into the wealth of knowledge that is readily available out there atm...
also, this is a hobby, so i dont have any deadlines and i can take as long as i need.

lol, you think that is ambitous? man, you should see the number of spare figures and parts that i have for all the different custom TFs i want to build this year...:p
its probably not gonna happen, but i'll give it a good try. :D

Very Very impressive!
Love your WIP... especially love the idea of using diecast metal bits.
Truly inspirational!
Much like gamblor's custom meister, I'll be patiently looking forward to this completed custom :)

Wow That is both really cool and utterly freaky! Awesome!

it is very impressive but my real disagreement is not with yours but with the comic series is they must of known that people would try and attempt this so why make the head master so damn hard with the face transforming the way it did.

By the way it looks awesome!
