As you guys know, I have been planning (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=6451&page=2) an attempt to realize the Dawn of Futures Past Tarantulas through a digibash and thanks to the input of fellow fans, I managed to reach a final color scheme that represented a 'Pre-Beast Wars' Tarantulas.

I have begun work in materialzing the digibash in plastic form and here is my progress so far:
http://p11.hostingprod.com/@kupscigar.com/fixes/tarantulas.JPG

The yellowy green matches 10th Anniversary Tarantulas same colors and the purple on the bike parts and arms are of a metallic purple again similar to the 10th Ani figure. The thighs are a brighter more mat purple to break up the shine.

Thanks for your comments, guys.

It's less shiny in person as the flash reflects all over the place but he does have a metallic shine.

I couldn't find appropriate paint online so I mixed my own with regular Humbrol purple and Humbrol metallic silver.

All of the colors used aside from the copper on the feet and the black are mixes. I am waiting for pieces to dry so that I can give them a second coat and deal with any paint anomalies. I will then paint the chest pieces and then add the green stripes and yellow detailing as seen in the digibash.

Please let me know what you think specially if I succeeded in portraying a Pre-Beast Wars Tarantulas and in replicating my original Digibash concept (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=142946&postcount=13)

Kup, I think you've done an absolutely awesome job on this Pre-Beast Wars Tarantulas.
My only suggestion would be some black pin striping along the edges of the green stripes in his alt mode to help them stand out but also to help break up the amount of purple that shows up in bot mode, I'd also consider putting some black somewhere on his head for the same reasons.

Your choice of shades for the Purple, Green and Lemon/Lime are spot on, as is the Goldy-Bronze you've chosen for the rear of the bike, feet and arachno-eyes. :D

All in all though, Pre-Beast Wars Tarantulas fits right in with the rest of the Dawn of Futures Past set, which I'm so incredibly jealous of :p, so you should be proud dude as IMO you hit the mark pretty damn well. :D

Nice job. It does indeed fit in with the other Predacons very well.

I also like the way you've incorporated his weapon into the bike mode.

Thanks for all your comments guys. I really do appreciate it :)

I do, I have molds in mind for them but not sure if they are right since both characters have pretty unique transformations and body shape. I wasn't sure how to do a Tarantuals until Reverb showed up.

I reckon Energon Scorponok should do okay -- again, a digibash prototype might give you an idea. What about Energon Skyblast for Terrorsaur? You'll need to sand back the sculpted Autobot logos though - but I imagine that would be relatively simple for someone as skilled as you. :)

Energon Skyblast is indeed the figure that I had in mind for Terrorsaur.

In regards to Scorponok, I reckon Energon Scorponok has a matching concept but the toy does not portray the correct personality for the character. It looks too much like a leader character, specially when the robot mode design pays tribute so closely to the G1 Scorponok toy.

I had Energon Insecticon in mind but not sure yet.

In regards to black outlines on the stripes, I am afraid that I don't have the skills to do it. It was very hard for me to paint the green stripes as they are.

He looks perfect amongst your Timelines toys. The head's great, I like the way you implemented the grappling hook, great colours and a characteristically well-planned start to your future career as a customiser. :)

Dark Scorponok was a mindless brute... much like BW Scorponok. Well, only that Darkie was ya know... undead (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/6/68/Zombiedarkscorponok.jpg). ;)

Perhaps but the mold does not look like a mindless brute and the 'personality' imposed by its overall looks and stature is miles away from BW Scorponok which was more of a grunt. I am referring to the toy not a more dynamically drawn character model. I don't see how the Energon Scorponok toy was a successful portrayal of a brute as far as aesthetics go since I am referring to the toy mold not characters portrayed by it. It is also too thick and fat to fit the Beast Wars character.

I think just about every character in Energon could be classified as a mindless brute though :)

That's ok Kup, it was merely a suggestion as I've no doubt that it would of been a fiddly as hell task to paint it in the first place.

A job very well done, how but a kitbash Transmutate set in Dawn of Futures Past?, you could use your imagination as to who or what Transmutate could've been before she suffered her debilitating fate. :D

This is a great kitbash Kup, very well executed. My suggestion for Scorponok? Cybertron Shortround :D

Why not use Energon Landmine? It's got claws and the Over the shoulder hook thing that if done up in Scorponok colours would look pretty sweet.
