A whole load more of Animated was confirmed for Japan recently (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/animated-8/more-takaratomy-transformers-animated-listings-revealed-169002/). Dodgy name translations aside, the only real news of merit is that Blackout is confirmed, so worst case scenario is now a shiny Blackout for your collection if Hasbro doesn't step up and release theirs.

"Swarp" is actually Swoop's Japanese name (t'is been since G1). The rest of them look like poor transliterations.

I've always wondered what causes that mis translation because on the Mazda parts catalouge back when I worked in the motor game every clip was listed as a "crip"

When the Japanese try to use their own 'alphabet' to make words or names that sound similar to English words or names, they don't have any character (letter) that has an 'l' sound, but the actual pronounciation of their 'r' characters (ra, ri, ru, re, ro) is like a cross between 'r' and 'l' (it all comes down to the placement of your tongue while sounding out those two letters - try to slowly sound out the two letters and see where your tongue is).
As such, since they need to substitute our 'l' with something when making up english-sounding words and names, they use their 'r' sounding characters/letters.
This partucular 'lost in translation' element has led to a fair bit of humour, specifically refered to as 'engrish (http://www.engrish.com/)'. But to find out a litttle more on the serious side of engrish, see this wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engrish).
