Review 10-012b - Skids
Series - TF2 Movie
Sub-line -
Size - Legends
New/remould/redeco - New
Wave - 4
Released here - Sep 2009
Approximate Retail Price - $8
Approximate Size - 7cm
Allegiance - Autobot
Alt-mode - Chevy Beat Concept Mode
Main Features/Gimmicks -
Main Colours - Green, black
Main Accessories - none
My Difficulty rating (out of 5) - 1
Stability - Seems a bit shaky on its feet, as the feet form the rounded rear of the car mode. Car mode holds together well once all the bits are locked into place. Head swivels a bit much in robot mode.
Poseability/articulation - Basic articulation at the shoulders and hips, with added elbow joints. Poor balance on the feet limits posing options.
Playability - Probably the most playable Legends figure in robot mode because of the extra joints, but such an ugly looking head and asymetric arms, reduces the urge to want to play with it. Not to mention how retarded the characters were made on screen, it doesn't make for fun role-playing when playing with ones toys.
My Thoughts - Very loose head panel, unbalanced on its feet, and overall ugliness makes me like the alt-mode more on this toy than the robot mode. They really captured the whole 'birth defect' look of this character in this toy. The only thing positive I can say about this toy is that it is more playable than the Deluxe version, which was rather frustrating to convert between modes.
My Overall Recommendation Rating (out of 10) - 5 (only if cheap or if you collect the cast characters in Legends size).
