Review 10-012d - Recon Bumblebee
Series - TF2 Movie
Sub-line -
Size - Legends
New/remould/redeco - Redeco
Wave - 4
Released here - Sep 2009
Approximate Retail Price - $8
Approximate Size - 7cm
Allegiance - Autobot
Alt-mode - Camaro Concept Mode
Main Features/Gimmicks -
Main Colours - Yellow, black.
Main Accessories - none
My Difficulty rating (out of 5) - 0.5
Stability - A solid toy in car mode, that stands well in robot mode. Chest piece (car front) doesn't lock into place, so moves a bit when in robot mode.
Poseability/articulation - Basic articulation at the shoulders and hips.
Playability - Fairly good in both modes, and easy to convert making it quicker to play different modes in a battle.
My Thoughts - I initially thought the yellow was darker than the original release, but next to each other, they are the same. The only thing different is the black paint decos on the exterior of the car, which is close enough to the original version for the general consumer to probably not even notice that this is a redeco. And with alien symbols on the Starscream and Arcee toys, this one would just look 'normal' within the TF2 deco/theme. One of the easiest Legends to convert, which makes it a fun figure for me.
My Overall Recommendation Rating (out of 10) - 7 (buy it if you can't find the original version)
