Very nice on the G1 pick ups. I've been after a Crossblades for awhile and will most likely get one this year. Fingers crossed.

Nice work on Sixshot too, Rampage. Very endearing figure though I've always found him a very boring character.

Back from holidays with one acquisition that I think everyone else got ages ago -- the Optimus Prime voice changer helmet (with real movie voice)

I was checking out a country Big W down in Wonthaggi and they had one at the post X-Mas price of $27.84. Although I put off buying it so many times this time I picked it up and I love it. Very impressed by the voice changing, the on demand Transformation sound effects and the Cullen voice.

Got the tf movie jazz black windows today I was surpose to get movie starscream but some B...ards bought it I saw that 2 days go and it's gone yesterday I was surpose to get movie ironhide and yet again after one day it's gone. On an offnote, I also opened Dark Crumplezone and was surprised to find how cool the remould was. There are significant differences in the alt mode that are quite cool. If Hasbro made this effort with TFM figures, I'd be far more impressed

Ahhh STL, nice acquisitions esp. the grimlock bust. And I've gotta say I like Crumplezone in both modes too. He and Ransack never fail to amuse me with their sillyness. :D

Can't exactly shoot.. but yeah you POINT at them and control via a button or a wheel, I supposed (I don't actually have them, but want it too)

I should also correct myself that RC actually stands for "Radio-Controlled" rather than remote, eventhough it's like a remote... the correct terminalogy is radio because it uses radio frequency as opposed to remote using infra-red (most times)

yeah, The arm of the little bot in mine broke in just the first few minutes since I unpacked and played with him. He's more of a statue now (fixed) I only pose the outer shells. Stupid gold syndrome hmp :mad::mad: dont even try on yours lest you end with a decapitated inner bot.

What does RC mean? And how do you play them?

Saintly already explained the the RC part so I'll just confirm on the play part. The play value isn't great. The gun really only holds the toy when you're not playing so it doesn't shoot the TF off. To play with this Spychanger, you've got to point at the car with the gun and use two arrow buttons: backward and forward. It's not that much fun after awhile because you can't really do turns, it's just straight back and forth. Good for $10 tho. If you want, I'll nab u some if they're still on sale on Saturday. Last time I was there, there was only Barricade and BB left.

G1 Pointblank w/ Peacemaker. It's been awhile since I first bought a G1 figure of any value and given I intend to complete my G1 collection by years end, this is where I start. I nabbed it at $55. Can't complain cos I'd budgeted for more!

The toy's in excellent nick and stickers are really really impressive. I think this guy was an ex-collector, he' took exceptional care with the toy to keep it this good for so long.

One of the frustrating things I've found was all the extra paperwork is a pain. I normally don't give a rats when buying but I hate ending up with the paperwork b/c feel obliged to store it away safely b/c of the vintage nature of it.

Whheeeeee! Birthdays are great! Except that I am catching up to 1orion2many in years now......

Anyhoo, got me some Ratchet and Ironhide (http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Wootnchoo/Ironhide%20and%20Ratchet/) goodies, movie Payload and Dropkick (http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Wootnchoo/Payload%20and%20Dropkick/) and a really handy tabletop tripod, which I put to good use for those linked pics.

I really like Dropkick. His bio is funny all he wants to do is sit in the dark and be angry! LOL. Someone at Hasbro is having fun! I like the toy too. Has some nice extra details like the swivelly bits on the feet and hydraulics molded behind his knees. Only complaints are the insect legs, which although it does make him look alien and they are good for balance, getting them even is a pain in the butt and the other one being his stupid capture claw. It's too damn large!!!!

Payload is alright. My one seems to be lacking in glue-power though. The truck grill comes off, as well as the centre piece of his claw, oh and his head comes off easy too. Easily fixed, but annoying, since they should be properly affixed in the first place (where's your quality control Hasbro?!?!? I have been wondering this for sometime now actually...). The claw is far too long as well. Makes displaying him on a crowded shelf tricky. Nice toy aside from that. I do like them, there is a charm to the odd nature of these guys. As piloted mecha, they're not actually any worse than the other Diaclone based figures in the same series - it just translates poorly compared to the others. I like them as an interpretation of the Diaclone line, even though that does hurt them as Transformers.

I'm gonna say the Armada Deluxe Prime version has seen a heap of releases. Energon, Cybertron, RiD Ultra Magnus, Nemesis Prime/Scourge. That or the G2 Cyberjets have been remoulded and resized enough times

Gah, this is annoying - I just took a look at Reprolabels - they have reprolabels for Pretender Bumblebee and Grimlock, but not for Pretender Jazz! You might wanna email the guy who runs that sight and see if he's willing to make a set (I don't see why not considering he's already done them for the other Autobot Classic Pretenders). I wouldn't blame you if you went ahead and painted that helmet visor in.

I dont like Takara/Hasbro stickers so I have ordered Reprolabels which are due any day now. This includes the G1 'toon faces too. As soon as they arrive I will stick them on and take photos.

I didn't know that they lacked the Pretender Jazz stickers. Hopefully they will have them in the future. I wil email them and wait until then.

I got the last issue of the current Beast Wars comic and the third of the Sourcebook. The third sourcebook is the best so far for being complete. They show each mode/form of most characters and even the 'mutant' heads. Shame they left out Transmetal Optimus Primal completely though.

Yeah, like dirge said, those heads look better in that photo than IRL... I think more accurately, they look good when you look at the toys directly head on (no pun intended)... otherwise... yeah... I'm undecided as to whether or not I'll display them with those heads. I'm hoping that the e-Hobby versions will come with cardboard heads too, cos what I'd do is display the e-Hobby ones w/ the heads and the Encores without. Overall I've always liked the original G1 toy look for Ironhide and Ratchet (I know I'm probably the only one in the world who likes toy-accurate Ironhide and Ratchet :p)

We went to Kings Comics yesterday where I picked up "Transformers Best of UK: Dinobots" issues #1 and #5 (reprints of G1 issues UK#45, 46 ('The Icarus Theory Parts 1-2) and #75-76 ('In the National Interest' Parts 2-3)).

Anyway, I finally grabbed the new wave of legends from TRU. Then we also found some christmas TF shopping bags going for 50% off. And I got the IR Bumblebee from iceburn. We saw some Optimus Prime ones "hiding" in a corner for $19.99 from TRU. Also grabbed the Movie Screen Battles from iceburn cause I held them in my hands and I couldn't resist them! :rolleyes:

Yeah, HLJ takes one day to confirm an order. You should get your email today. I'd say within two hours. I always get my confirmations at about 2pm Melbourne time, which if you're QLD, I think is 1pm your time.

nope no chrome rape on the reissue, I think the only thing is the feel of the plastic is much less i quality than the original... well for me that was the first thing I noticed. But then the plastic formula they would have used then and now I guess would have been "improved" ( open to debate of course). Everything is exactly same TDD. a few improvements is some of the "before were stickers" decals are now printed on the plastic decals. Er somebody do a review on these please... calling GOK..

And also new Acquisition for me - TF Monopoly, yaaaay. Unexpected find in Kmart Stanhope Village shopping center.. they've got lots more too. AFAIS.

I'll be doing a review on Ironhide/Ratchet when I get the e-Hobby versions so I can do the whole thing in one she-bang. As for original Grapple vs reissues... I only have the Hasblo reissue which is chrome and launcher mechanism raped but otherwise seems as good as the original. See dirge's review (http://www.cliffbee.com/reviews/grapple.php) for a comparison with the Takara reissue (under 'variations').

Which is why I put in (open to debate) 'coz frankly for myself i find the "improved" formula is indeed somewhat cheap in feel when you look and touch and yes weigh the toy in your hand....there is this, less plasticky feel to them, like a little to soft and rubbery feel , i don't know how to adequately describe it. Less brittle I guess but then like a little bit above the cheap plastics of KOs, something of that sort.... hmmmm but yeah probably since the product is mass produced (in China, macau and everywhere else) that they opt for the cheapest, yet not too generic materials.... sort of quantity over quality (we've seen plenty of questionable Tfs released lacking of such I believe) to meet the demand or lack of it.

But having said this as well, the encore satisfies a demand and the quality of the product I got may not be as stellar as I had hoped in comparison to the original but still delightfully not cheap looking and certainly not lacking as the blatant KOs proliferating the current market.

Got my first Takara Collection Series... #20 Kup, Wheelie and Recoil... I was always a big fan of Kup and stopped collecting about the time he was re-released as a Targetmaster, so it's cool to now have that version. Being my first TCS, I'm very impressed. Kup's chest is shiny, smooth metal and just has such a solid feel. The vibrant colors of him and Wheelie side by side are definitely making me love these guys. I want to have a Kup to display with my Classics as I just can't have Hot Rod without Kup... seems weird.

Came back home and opened it; realised that most of the tattoos have been nicked.
Thus, I'm left with 2 tats - Jazz and Ratchet as well as the Tin!

Anyway back on track, I finally have something to post here at long last, picked up Autolooper from the Nexus toy fair and there was plenty of encore at reasonable prices $50-$60 as well as 5 MP-05 for sale at $175.00 each plus quite a bit more. By the way we have put Roller back in his packaging and we are sending him back as he seems to be broken:p:D. We are holding you responsible for this Dirge:D.

Got my Cybertron Quickmix last friday from an ebay AU seller. Was pretty disappointed that not only did I have to pay $15 more (iceburn asked me if I wanted in for $30 from Myers last time, I said no) for the figure, but the seller didnt package the item in a box, and so the top part of the box was flatten and damaged. :(

Then I had bought Cybertron undermine from US ebay and thought I'll try the vpost service (a service which provided u with a US Depot address so that you can buy items which seller post to US only) thinking that the shippin was gonna be reasonable since my friend tried it before. But now they are charging me US$29.97 for undermine! Which is absolutely ridiculous! Arrghh! :mad:

Action Master Wheeljack arrived today (that's 6 G1 toys left now).

Also a whole bunch of accesories from a really good eBay seller whom I keep coming back to (therawhyde).

Most notable was an inner shell for Roadblock, which was a little damaged but perfect on the pieces I wanted to improve - ten minutes with a screwdriver and I have a really good inner shell. Also got the missing booster I needed for Jetfire. Spending money on that toy was hard....

It is cool. Loving the robot mode. Pretty posable and he looks like he'd do well in combat. The face was originally intended to mimic the Autobot symbol but things didn't work out that way.

The Aveo is in the middle, Movie Camshaft (repaint of Swindle) is the gey and blue figure on the right.

So how did your special friend get the Aveo figure? I thought you had to test drive a vehicle in certain overseas markets to get one.
