Hey guys just a few beast wars questions:

- Are there any figures made that represent the cyber raptors that megatron made, or in anybodys opinion what figure would best represent them?

-Im thinking of just getting something thats not a transformer to represent the raptors, if there is no suitable transformers match. Any opinions on what size figures i should aim for??

- Also did hasbro make any protohuman figures? If not any reconmendations on something similar???

- Lastly, just to confirm did the protohumans only end up with: Infernos Head and tail thruster and Quickstrikes cobra tail and his faceplate, during the ending of beast wars season 3?

There were never any figures made of either the cyber raptors or the protohumans, although one could buy a generic raptor toy and paint it silver to represent a cyber raptor. Similarly, there are a fair few replicas of early hominids which could be used as the protohumans.

Those bits of Inferno and Quickstrike were the only ones seen, but I presume the protohumans must have found the other parts and stashed them somewhere.

Toy dinosaurs are pretty common, cheap ones especially. I've seen bags of them in K-Mart and various other stores. Not sure about the hominids, you may need to try online.

You making a BW display?

Lol yeh my aim is to represent as much of the cartoon as possible, so i wanna create a protohuman scene!

Would a six inch human figure be too large to realistically blend in with other figures? or am i looking at around 2 inches?
I dont have many Beast wars figures so im not sure on what size toys i should aim for.

dino rider figs maybe? don't know if they had any protohuman like toys or not.

I wants me a Thrustol bad, but it costs way too much.

The problem with Dino-Rider humans is that they're homo sapiens and the hominids in Beast Wars are meant to be Neanderthals (according to the scripts). Perhaps museums might sell toy Neanderthals?

As for size, this information may help you:
+ Adult Neanderthal male = 165-168cm
+ Adult Neanderthal female = 152-156cm
+ Rattrap (robot mode) = 180cm
...I have sizes for a lot of other Beast Wars Transformers at home but I don't remember them off hand. I just remember that Rattrap, Airazor and probably Blackarachnia are 1.8m tall in robot mode. I'll post more when I get home. :)

There's an outside chance you might be getting a little more specific (no pun intended) than Starscream212 is ;)

I realize that the ice age Dino riders are part of a different human era to those in BW, but they have 'apish' faces, which is the closest match i can find.

It will be a matter of tracking down 3-4 and repainting them the brown color on the TV show.

They are the only 2inch caveman articulated figurers i can find, but they are gunna be expensive as i have to buy a Dino rider pack just for one man, hopefully i can get a good resale value on the dinosaur

As I said before the scale between characters on the show and toys differ, but here's some stats for your reference. All cartoon stats are from Season 1.

Legend: Character Name | Robot Mode Height (cartoon) | Robot Mode Height (toy) | Scale

--------------

Maximals
Optimus Primal | 2.8m | 21.5cm | 1:13
Rhinox | 2.6m | 12cm | 1:22
Cheetor | 2.3m | 13cm | 1:18
Rattrap | 1.8m | 10.5cm | 1:17
Dinobot | 2.9m | 12.5cm | 1:23
Tigatron | 2.3m | 13cm | 1:18
Airazor | 1.8m | 9.5cm | 1:19

Predacons
Megatron | 2.8m | 19cm | 1:15
Scorponok | 2.5m | 12.5cm (23.5cm if you include the tail) | 1:20
Waspinator | 2.5m | 13cm | 1:19
Tarantulas | 2.4m | 16cm | 1:15
Terrorsaur | 2.3m | 13cm | 1:18
Blackarachnia | 2.4m | 16cm | 1:15
Inferno | 2.6m | 18cm | 1:14

On average the toys are 1:18 scale, which means that a 9cm figure would be on average scale with a male Neanderthal. It's entirely up to whether or not you wish to be so precise, but the info's there if you need it. :) (assuming my scale calculations are correct :p)

Would you want a male Neanderthal? Una was the only protohuman of any importance :)

Yes she is, but there where some males in the mix. lol
I have not thought about the male/female blend yet, i dunno how im going to get a female cavewoman. all the caveman dino riders are male so mayb a paint job can fix this up.

ill probaly try to get 4 figures and acuratley repaint them.

Just read your review. Made me laugh -- the 'pointless post' on his back is so that he can peg his tail weapon onto his back in robot mode.

--Jhiaxus.
(It's one of those pesky undocumented features -- but you'll notice his tail weapon has a similarly inexplicable post hole.)

Maybe you could find some really ugly Polly Pocket KOs for Chak and Una. ;) For the adults I'm sure you can find some generic caveman toys. Heh... Flintstone toys. ;p

The thing is that all the protohumans in BW were nekkid, and there's no way you're gonna find a nude human (caveman or otherwise) toy! MotU and WWE figures come pretty close though. ;D

I used to have one of those dino-rider neanderthals. He came with a sabretooth tiger if my memory serves me well. No idea where the hell the figure himself has gone though haha. If I do ever find him (I may know where he is at my parents place) I will get back to you on that.

I did notice that but was never able to work out a meaningful way to actually use it to store the weapon there, so I always figured it was some sort of abandoned feature.

You have to fold the tail-holding section down and out of the way to put the tail on that post. Almost all my versions of the Dinobot mould are currently displayed with the tail stored on their back like that.

lol i still cant believe i have to track down 1980s toys for a caveman figure, i think i mite use one of the dino riders dinosaurs for my cyber raptors as well, they have articulation which is better than a plastic mould.

hopefully in a few months i will have the figures, theres only about 450 of the total dino riders for sale on ebay, and from that, like 5 of what i need, ahhh its like hunting telemocha waspinator all over again, which im still doing :(
