The first TF Animated Almanac was a great book, so it's good news that a second volume is coming featuring the characters (and all those TF cameos) from the third season.
From the creator's blog (http://boltax.blogspot.com/2010/02/allspark-almanac-ii-confirmed.html):
The AllSpark Almanac II is now being solicited on Amazon.com. 220 pages, by Bill Forster and myself. I don't think I'm giving too much away to say that it will cover season 3.
I will be getting it, just hope they don't announce later a complete Almanac with extra pages like they did with the Ark books.

Since I already have the first volume I don't think there is much reason to hold off for a 'complete' version. Can't wait for this to come out.

Odds aren't good, if the license for TFs cartoons has recently changed hands - the new owner isn't likely to release season 3 without doing 1 & 2 first, and the demand won't be there for those two seasons so soon after their release by the former license holder.

I thought the same thing about the G1 series about 10 years ago but then Madman stepped in so there is some hope. Granted, Animated does not compare to G1 in terms of market saturation.
I have season 3 of Animated which I recorded off the CN mid last year (DVD recorder) so I'm not that upset about the possibility of never getting an official release. I have my fingers crossed for everyone that missed out on seeing it though.

No, that's Vol 13 of the 'cinemanga' which are nice little books in their own right (but not fantastic comics). How weird that the five page preview only shows the pages that are the same in each volume.

Super keen for this!
I love the Allspark Almanac V1 and my copy of The Complete Ark, and think they are both awesome resources.
I actually prefer the Allspark Almanac because of its awesome style and its in-universe profiles. It was a very fun read and I look forward to V2!

I'm eagerly anticipating this, because the first volume was awesome. I really liked the in-universe approach it took, it suited Animated so well.

I didn't like the in-universe approach; would've preferred 3rd person like G1... maybe I'm just old fashioned. :p But I wish they'd waited for Animated to finish and release the Almanac as a single book instead of needing to get two. :/

Having received this item the other day and spending a large portion of today reading and gazing at the pictures, this is easily among the best resource books I have ever read.
The content is professionally put together, the style of the book and its visual layout is eye catching and fresh, and the information is actually interesting. Having the profiles written from other characters point of view is a nice change from the static and cold mtme profile books.
The first almanac was good, this one is better.
Also plenty of inside jokes, references and nods to other series (lots of IDW and Car Robots).
And did I mention consistency and editing? The IDW folks really need to use these two books as a reference point in the future for keeping their own stuff inline.

Wait till you get to the episode summaries for season 4. There were about 8 of them, some good, some bad (Galvatron, and Mirror Universe stuff).
Also loved reading about all the ideas hey had but didnt use (Devastator, Bulkhead as an unwilling component of Devastator, moving the Omega Supreme story to the beginning of season 3 etc.
And man that triple changer Megatron is nice.

I'd love to but I hardly ever have the time to venture into the city. I work near Ryde and live out west. I've probably been like 2 times this year.

Try online? Its really a good read. Now ll have to hunt for volume 1 since I passed up on that one. Good thing Kings Comics still have it ( online as well)

I pretty much only order from The Book Depository... I guess I'm just a creature of habit, especially when I receive good service. See, this is why I got so excited when I heard IDW would be distributing through newsagents. I have no comic shops anywhere near where I live. Phantom Zone would be the closest and they never seem to have what I am after.
Thanks for the suggestions guys :)

Just finished reading this and now I'm really down. They had enough source material to continue Animated for ages. I saw so much potential for character development and storylines. I would of preferred this as I'm sick of the continnous reboots.
