Wow that's a random sighting! :)

It maybe fits in here that the other week at Chadstone I found a store selling Die Cast Concept Camaros in Bumblebee's colours and in various scales, with a sign behind them implying they were Transformers merchandise.

griffin
14th March 2008, 02:47 PM
In a retail store? Those things were released back in 97/98. Which ones?
I'm missing:
Visser 3(Andelite)/Ultra Alien
Tobias/Mega sized Hawk
Marco/Beetle

The line only had 13 toys released before it was axed, and are hard to find. Those three are the only ones I am still looking for.

these are not offical transformers hasbro merchandise, but just wanted to let people know of 'bunny truckers' from the latest target catalogues, only available at Target stores. For $9 i just want it cause it can be used as a clear storage case, e.g for pens, rubbish, even you can use it to store food in the kitchen?:)

Big W has G1 styled Optimus Prime and Megatron Cupa Chup holders on sale for about $5.50 a piece.

They have little poles in their backs that enable each hand to punch out, and if you hit the faction symbol on their waist then their head pops up, all Rock-em Sock-em robots style.

They cant actually punch each others symbols though, but they are pretty good fun and look alright.

I am going to top roller's random sighting with an even more random sighting of my own.

Armada Super Optimus Prime bubblegum dispenser.

Yeah. You heard me.

I found it in Target. The box was really battered, so it was probably something that had never been bought ever. Pressing the chest made it make generic 'Pow! Pew pew pew! Bang!' sounds.

That's not exactly rare 'round my parts. In the past 6 months, I can remember seeing one at Target Parra & one at another Target (I can't recall which store it was ).

Maybe they stashed 'em in the back from their Armada days (cos no one was buying 'em even them...) & put 'em back on the shelf in the hopes that the movie hoopla would see them finally sell... :D

SilverDragon

I went back there yesterday, and it's still sitting on the shelf. If this thing is a shelfwarmer, then I'm surprised the shelf isn't ON FIRE.

At Big W today I saw a Transformers Advent calendar (yes Christmas stuff is already out in the stores!). It's G1 (not Movie or Animated-based) and can be seen on the maunfacturer's website (http://www.kinnerton.com.au/products/Transformers%20Std%20Advents.html).

On the back is a puzzle version of the Autobot cover from Dreamwave's Generation One Vol 1 #1.

Found them at both Kmart and Coles last Saturday while I was shopping for my Giant Burger. Both stores had them for $3.50.
I got the one last year, and the chocolate is not what I would call chocolate. I've had compounded chocolate that tasted better. Even the generic brand cooking chocolate is better. The stuff in the advent calendar has weird nutty flavour that stays in the back of your throat for some time. And even if it was any good, they are so small, it's pathetic.

Just remembered the Austin Powers scene with the 'nutty' coffee... :p

I saw a Transformers Animated "make your own" wall calendar at one of those Shopping Centre Calendar stands. It was $16 and was square sized but not a full size Calendar.

Based on the description and images on the back, each month has a image of Animated Detroit (or other locations) and stickers of the characters you can place as you wish to create your own battle scenes. Almost brought it on the spot but I needed the cash for Universe Deluxes.

Found at Kmart today, some TFs Dinnerware. They are all Animated themed.

From left is a tumbler with Optimus and BBee on it ($6), Spoon and Fork set ($16), Squeeze Sip bottle ($10), Fun Float bottle ($10).
The 'Fun Float' bottle has a sealed liquid compartment at the base with a floating Decepticon symbol in it.
http://www.otca.com.au/merch01.jpg

Small plate and bowl ($7 each).
http://www.otca.com.au/merch03.jpg

And a 3-pack of the Tumbler, Plate and Bowl for $20 (no saving, but you get a nice carry box).
But in this week's sale (ends today though), they are on sale for $12.
http://www.otca.com.au/merch02.jpg

And I took a photo of the TFs stationary they had at Kmart today while I was there.
At the bottom of the photo is a nice looking Autobot Symbol Magnet, about 15cm squared, which the packaging says is good for 'car or locker'.
Yes, it would be nice on the car, but I doubt it would stay very long, as it would get pinched quite quickly.

I opened mine up today (to take a photo for Lithart, but now don't need to) and noticed that it's actually made in Australia this time (the ones from the last two years were from that UK Kinnerton company), and the chocolate was actually edible too (the previous ones tasted terrible).

I took a photo of the back though, and will post it up later (camera is currently recharging).

Saw a nice looking pack of cards at Target today, in a tin case for $10. Will get some later though (didn't have time to buy them yesterday) and take some photos.

As for the calendar - I got the photos off my camera:

http://www.otca.com.au/calendar1.jpg

http://www.otca.com.au/calendar2.jpg

Surprisingly, these seem to be really hard to find. In every store I go to that has a display of 6-8 master cartons of these licensed calendars, there are no Transformers ones. I've only seen them once at a Kmart, and it wasn't a whole box, just 2 of them.
Maybe they are selling out really fast? Or stores would rather have Bratz and Ben10 junk instead....

New Zealand Warehouse stores have Xmas Stockings and M&M Dispensors. Both made in Australia, so guessing they will be over there shortly.

Some Transformers Merchandise found recently.

Giant Giftbox of 15 different games and novelty items, at Kmart for $35.

Real working Digital Camera (the Autobot Symbol), at Target (can't remember the price).

http://www.otca.com.au/tf2camera.jpg

Ceramic Mug (with party mix lollies) - at Target for $10.
(It's a little smaller than the TF1 Mug, which came with hot chocolate and marshmallows)

http://www.otca.com.au/tf2mug.jpg

Movie Bucket (or used for storage, or even as a bin), at Target for $15.
Comes filled with Popcorn.

http://www.otca.com.au/tf2bucket.jpg

Giftpack of about 5 or 6 novelty items - $10.
Was pictured in a Pick-N-Pay catalogue (Coles Hypermarkets, only in Brisbane - so could be in Coles or Kmart in the rest of the country).

http://www.otca.com.au/tf2giftpack.jpg

Heelskates - $15 (not new, but was advertised in this weeks Kmart catalogue)
The fit over the shoe, allowing the wearer to roll along on their heels.

Found at a Woolworths (in Darwin), an Animated inflatable bop-bag (you fill the base with water, and inflate the top section). I got one of the TF07 Movie bop-bags a couple years back, but it didn't last long (water started leaking out of the base).
This one was priced at $6.81.

Found and bought from a Kmart (Sunnybank) a cheaper version of the Ceramic Mug. It has a smaller bag of lollies in it, and comes 'carded' rather than boxed.
Priced at $6 (with it's own special Kmart price sticker on it).

http://www.otca.com.au/mug7.jpg

Also saw today at Target Springwood, quite a few of the $10 boxed Mugs and the Popcorn-filled buckets. Went there because I couldn't find any at the Target at Browns Plains.
And at a couple of Kmarts, I saw $5 mystery-bags of kiddie merchandise items (5 random items out of a dozen of the cheaper items found in the big $35 boxed set of items and the smaller $10 packet that Trunks mentioned above).

First Easter themed TFs merchandise I've ever seen. Which suggests the brand is finally getting popular enough to warrant more unusual licensed items.

Both of these were at Target Mt Gravatt, for $13 each.

First is a metal tin with 10 easter eggs inside. Despite the price, it is a nice container for holding parts and accessories in. (Leader class Optimus toy is just used for scale)

http://www.otca.com.au/easter01.jpg

http://www.otca.com.au/easter02.jpg

And the odd one, which is a clock packed with 4 easter eggs (why a clock for easter???).

http://www.otca.com.au/easter03.jpg

The Optimus toy was again just used for scale (still haven't transformed it yet, so at least I'm getting some use out of it :p ).

The Optimus is actually '3D/embossed' on the lid, which is pretty cool. :)

Also sighted yesterday at the JayJays store at Mt Gravatt, 2 new T-shirts, a new 2-pack of underwear, and a Stationery Set. Info posted here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=6915).

Not really a new sighting but Big W at Noosaville is having a big clear out of their clothing, There where quite a few of their retro Tshirts and Hoodies going out for $10 including Optimus prime tshirts, and hoodies with optimus, jazz and hotrod on there for $10 too.

Might be worth a look at your local BigW if they doing a clear out and you where after these.

Animated Game Collection, found at a Toyland store (Carindale).
(Toyland is a breakaway group of Toyworlds, forming their own small franchise)

http://www.toycollectors.com.au/animgc1.jpg
.
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/animgc2.jpg

It's a big box of stuff, discounted to $35 - but I'm more interested in the figurines.

(note that it has a Walmart sticker on it... so probably was left over factory stock, which pre-applied that exclusive store sticker on it)

That is cool. I would get that just for the figurines as well. I wonder if they can be found here in NSW.
