Heard from our Hasbro contact, and we have some bad news, some good news, and some bad news...

First, the bad news - as the title states, he has had to suspend the Q&A program until he gets the assistant he was expecting to have some time ago. The heavy workload has meant prioritising the more important things with his job, and has regretted not being able to deal with our questions.

The Good news - we might be getting a decent outline of upcoming items, probably at the Toyfair in Melbourne.

But then there's the other bad news, which relates to Toyfair - despite all the photos revealed at the German and US Toyfairs, Hasbro US has apparently denied anyone from being allowed to take photos at the Toyfairs (which doesn't make much sense, if just about everyone was allowed to take photos at the US Toyfair, including their presentation). This rules out the original plan of taking photos at our Toyfair next month. Soooo, the best we can do is obtain as much textual info as possible, and see if their policy changes before the Toyfair starts in a couple weeks time.

I am not one bit surprised. We are not their customers.

The photo embargo is both stupid and silly.

From what I understand of NY Toy Fair 2010, Hasbro specifically asked people not to take any photos during the presentation (quite a few people did, unfortunately).

It was in March, in Melbourne. It's only once per year, and is a trade show for retailers.
