Nothing special... he basically sits on top of Mindwipe in alt mode and that's it.

A well engineered Scout. :) I like how they incorporated the jet mode's camera head as the robot head. A lot more clever and better looking than movie and ROTF Megatron's "just have robot head sticking out in alt mode like Cybertron Ironhide" (well, not _quite_ as bad as Ironhide) The paint apps on mine are quite nice, although I did see another one at the shops that had a fleck of purple paint on a different area.

Two gripes:
1. Foot clamping gimmick FTL. It sucked on Voyager Megatron, it sucked on Voyager The Fallen and it continues to suck on Skystalker.
2. He doesn't grip his weapons tight enough and they're prone to falling off during excessive handling and play. I'd rather have pegs that insert into round fist holes. Still, at least he can put his weapons away unlike Mindwipe.

Oh wow, I wasn't aware you could combine them in robot mode (unofficially), so I went looking for pics, here you go guys, uploaded to my photobucket for your viewing pleasure (still not enough to convince me to get them both though) :)

Skystalker is probably my favorite ROTF scout so far, nice jet/drone mode, cool looking, menacing robot mode, decent transformation.

I agree with the foot gimmick being sucky, not as sucky as the other two cause he is lighter and can be balanced easier, but it's still an unecessary gimmick. Can't agree with your other point though, dunno what sort of rough and tumble your subjecting your toys to, but my Skystalker can be flown around the room and transformed without dropping the ball.

They clip on fine in jet mode but can fall off in robot mode. As a melee weapon I would be attempting to smack it up against other toys, which I haven't tried yet. But one time during some moderate fidgeting/handling the weapon just fell off and... I cannot even begin describing the rage that filled me.

The axes clip on just fine with mine.

Despite the packaging, I can't really believe that this is a scout class TF. He's more like a deluxe in miniature, what with the posebility and the weapons. Personally the feet don't bother me, and I've actually gotten some cool poses out of him because of them.

Yeah they clip on fine and if you just display it it's not a problem. But when you start playing with it - making the arms flail about, having the axes make contact with other weapons or TF bodies etc... or even just making him zoom about in robot mode -- I find they're prone to falling off. :(
