"On behalf of eBay and PayPal, thank you for agreeing to take part in this research forum. The aim of the forum is to give you the opportunity to speak with PayPal and eBay staff face to face, and to share your ideas and opinions about PayPal. The forums will be comprised of 15-20 members like yourself, 2-3 PayPal and eBay staff."
If anyone have any particular questions/suggestions/comments you'd like me to pass on, let me know. I have a few things in mind, this is an excellent opportunity to get some of our thoughts/ideas across and actually be heard.

How about letting us pay with American Express CC's
Umm.... I'm Aussie and I'm verified/confirmed
verified only within AUS i think, but when you pay for overseas stuff, it shows as unconfirmed.

I am so sick and tired of having to sift through 30,000 listings of TF's located in China when all I want to see are listings located in Australia.
Perhaps an option, filter or otherwise that will stop spammed listings from China showing up in an Australian search?.

that's what the Australia only option is for.

Indeed it is and I have that option ticked, still doesn't seem to make any difference though. I think it maybe because whilst the items are located in China, the auction is listed under eBay Australia.

I know it used to say "Address Status: Unconfirmed" for the longest time but it doesn't seem to be saying it now.

paypal sucks when it comes to paying anything else outside of ebay.
i bought a new laptop charger from http://www.battery-company.com.au/ and paid using paypal.
they sent me the wrong one, so i requested an RMA#.
no reply at all so i made a dispute through paypal. paypal said they could do nothing and closed my dispute.
the one thing that pisses me off the most though is how their echange rate is always lower than what its supposed to be, something like $0.02 difference. So basically they are making money off me exchanging currency to $US/JAP
and once i've paid for an order, they take a cut from them too.
useless paypal. you suck.

Yeah whats with paypal, taking a cut after ebay takes their sales fees out!!
Also arn't ebay Australia fees higher than any other ebay locality in the world?
And one more thing - ebay never seem to do anything when items (KO's) are reported....
Ok Im done :D

:confused:Are these suggestions or complaints:confused: I think Jgon would like some constructive criticism on Paypal both for and against so they might actually listen to him when he is talking to these people. No matter what you say it is now far easier to buy overseas items since the inception of Paypal compared to the old Western Union money orders or money transfers.;)

The issue with "confirmed" addresses in Australia isn't PayPal's - it comes down to our privacy laws. The account/card issuer (your bank) can't give any details to the merchant (PayPal) - to protect the privacy of the account/card holder.
In the USA (and I guess other jurisdictions) PayPal can ask the issuer to _confirm_ the address supplied as matching that on the issuer's records, but if they do so here, the bank can't confirm without breaching privacy laws.
It's silly, I know, but it's not PayPal's fault.
