It could also be Wheeljack which could mean Dinobots but I am just speculating (and also drooling at the thought :p)

I don't think it matters what his or her name is - statistically it will only be in the movie briefly, get little characterisation, and what characterisation it does get will most likely be at odds with whatever previous character you associate that name with anyway.

So I'm guessing it's Windbreaker. :p

Thats true, look at the Audi R8 everyone was excited about having that car in the movie but i was only there for what less than 60 seconds?

i just got let home from school because of flooding, and when my dad picked me up he told me that on the radio, the guy who came up with the Drift character in the comics was having an interview with 6pr or some other am radio station and he was talking about how michael bay has been calling him to try to get the copyright. not sure if it will be the new character that we have been seeing images of (the farrari) but just maybe it is!

It's just a vocal minority thing, like the anti-Bay sentiment. Majority of people here either enjoy or aren't fussed about who creates these things, but the bombardment of negativity by a half dozen or so people, probably puts off those who would be willing to express what they enjoy about their perspective of TFs. Personally, I'd like to see this place encouraging people to talk about what they enjoy with TFs, rather than focussing on what they hate about it - as it discourages newer fans and guests from wanting to join in with their own new-found enjoyment of the TFs Universe.

Transformers 3 will apparently take place a few years after Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, with John Mallkovich as Sam Witwikcy's first boss and Frances McDormand as the National Intelligence Director for the US government.

You know... If they retconed it so that the silver sports car, of few words, with blades, who effortlessly cut up fleeing Decepticons, was actually movieverse Drift I wouldn't mind a bit. And it would free up the name Sideswipe for the new car. They'd have to change what... one line of dialog in ROTF? "Send in Drift!". It could so work!
