View Full Version : Ozformers Easter Competition - Hunt for the Decepticons.

28th March 2010, 02:01 PM
Been meaning to post this up some time ago, and with Easter only a week away, I gotta try this now or it'll never happen (and in a more condensed format than I initially planned).

I'm not sure if this will work, but we'll give it a shot anyway...

Basically, I will ask a news-related question (so that everyone has a chance), and people post what they think is the answer, while nominating a number between 1-25 (inclusive).
Five winners will be selected, and then each following round will have people nominate a number from the remaining numbers (until all 25 are used up).

There are 7 prizes up for grabs, and if you win a prize, you are no longer eligible to enter.

Why 7 out of 25? And how can it be proven that prizes are already allocated to certain numbers?

Well, using my TFs advent calendar from 2008, I have hidden 25 different Gen1 characters behind each door.
7 of them are Decepticons, and if you find one, you win an Easter prize, and I will post up a photo of the calendar as proof after each round.

(it's looks cheap and lazy, but I figure it works for me, as I don't have the time to do anything more creative than this at this time)

Megatron - Tin with eggs, and mystery bonus prize (revealed later).
Soundwave - Tin with eggs.
Starscream - Clock with eggs.
Shockwave - Clock with eggs.
Reflector - Pencil case with eggs.
Devastator - Torch with eggs.
Ravage - Yoyo with eggs.

LOL,

And here you were 1AZRAEL1 commenting about having to change the number you were going to use because of me. :p

Congratulations dude on the Grand Prize and to all others that won as well.

I think others would agree that Griffin should be commended on such a great competition and prizes. Thank you very much Griffin for taking the time, and expense :p, for setting up this competition. Job Well Done.

I agree with above; whether I won or not, this is a great type of competion. It fitted the HftD and Easter themes to. a. tee. ..and was extremely accessible/winable to all members. Now that the Decepticons have been found (and not just in the first 2 rounds :D) you can kick back and have a great easter!

Good comp, Griffin. I find it interesting that with the Transformers playing cards/rock-paper-scissors you put behind the advent calendar, all the images were of 'box' art except that someone making the cards had for some reason made Ironhide and Ratchet cartoon-like images instead of their usual toy-accurate selves (and yet they left Perceptor, Tracks and Bluestreak's more inaccurately coloured art completely alone). It seemed like a really odd thing for them to do.

I was actually worried that all the Decepticons would be found in the first round or two, but this ended up playing out perfectly. I randomly placed the character cards into the calendar, and didn't take note of where each was located, so that the outcome was just as much of a surprise to me as well.

And I think it is fairer to have most competitions based on finding info available to everyone, as opposed to trivia based ones that only a few will know.

Where did you get the calendar? Advent Calendars usually go on cheap after the events I might grab a few cause I like the taste of the chocolate.

EDIT nevermind I found out too bad target is ages away from my house >.>
