I will certainley have to buy him, and probably all of them lol. Interesting to note that he will be part of the Generations toy line. Wonder when he is to be released, hopefully soon.

I believe his alt-mode is a Cybertronian Truck, though, from the trailers he certainly doesn't appear to be a truck.

LOL, yep a "Cybertron Hammer" for Bobotron the Constructor.

Nice figure I must say. I like the different config for the guns. Although I knew it was unlikely, I would have liked to see some light piping to emulate the lighting in the images from the game we have seen . Excample on the Insignias and OPtimus has some red decals around his chest that light up.

Nah there are some new molds in there as well. I think it is just a label that they can release all figures under so that they don't have so many different lines. Until the next movie is out I imagine that will have a different name.

It certainly seems like they are, you make a very good point sir. :D

Optimus does look awesome, though I agree with Tetsuwan Convoy as some light piping certainly wouldn't of gone astray.

Optimus looks like a more sleeker cybertronian version of his G1 self. I kind of dont like how his slim sexy abs are ruined by the stuff stick out behind his back. The front wheels also stick out when they're supposed to be closer to the neck.

I also don't like the rifle, looks kinda weak.

The alt mode feels like its missing windows. Maybe its just the red colour they used which kind of kills it for me.

I just had a look at the trailer again, and the toy is definately missing detail which gives Optimus the Heavier feeling. Those colours make him look like he's from the animated series.

For me, I'm hoping for a more 'game accurate' design being war-torn and battle hardened.

Like in the TF:Movie when Optimus comes to save everyone, he just smashes his way through the Decepticons and heads straight for Megatron.

This toy looks like it would bump into something, stop and say 'owwie'

I wonder what TakaraTomy will do with the toy line?

Looks very sharp. A definate purchase (well, at this stage all of Generations is a definate purchase)

I love the look of this mold. It is definitely going to be a must have for me.
There's only two things that bug me with it. The head sculpt looks a little weird for Optimus, almost like Optimus prime mixed with a evil robotic bat. I think its the nose bump and the longer ears/antennas that's putting me off.
And is it just me or does he have pink on his hips, knee guards and around the outer rims of the wheels. If it is, that's another point against him although that could just be the lighting of the photos.
But like I said, even with those two minor problem he is a definite purchase for me on release.

I find this guy quite interesting despite not being overly swayed wither way by the game.

He actually has one of the most Cybertronian looks I've seen outside of the Cybertronian movie toys.

He's a bit sparse on paint apps though, but I actually don't mind the hot pink it reminds me of the Turbomasters.


I think Lint is on to something though Hasbro should make another headmould and release a repaint as Kup.

As for more War for Cybertron toys, you'll wanna cross your fingers for that. Knowing Hasbro I'm expecting the three we know about to be released for the game and then nothing...... or maybe one token release like Starscream while Hasbro try to distract us with other lines.

I agree with the Kup comments. All that the toy needs is just a new head and the right paint job and you have Classics Kup.

My issue is not the pinkish highlights from the wheel and hips. My issue is the almost pink red they use for the upper body. It's not as bad as Pinkimus but it isn't good.

I don't understand why it is so hard for them to put a solid red on Optimus toys. They did it for Universe Sideswipe.

Maybe Hasbro think Prime should be pink and a lighter shade of blue.

I'm sure if the game comes out in Japan, they will release a Prime with deep red and navy blue.

Still it should be like ROTF Prime, you don't really notice his colours are off until you compare him to G1 or Buster Prime.
