Thought this would make an interesting thread ...

What are your most prized possessions (and why)?

Mine:

Original artwork/pencils from the Devil's Due Voltron comic

I have 21 pages of original artwork/pencils from the Voltron comic by Devil's Due. Due to the art's obvious uniqueness, they're easily the prize of my Voltron collection. I got them framed and they're now hanging on my bedroom walls.

2001 U.S. Superman DVD

This is one of my prized items not only because it's my favourite film, but because it bears the signatures of director Richard Donner and co-writer Tom Mankiewicz on the cover. A contact of mine in the U.S. was kind enough to get both men to sign the DVD for me when they attended a DVD signing to promote the release of the DVD.

Supergirl -- Limited Edition DVD

This is one of my prized items because it's the very first DVD I ever got and watched. It's also of value from a collector's standpoint because it contains the longest known version of the film, which is not featured on any other DVD releases of the film.

"Making of Superman: The Movie" book

A terrific book, one that's incredibly hard to find due to it's rareness. Any findable copies were usually prohibitively expensive. I spent YEARS looking for an affordable copy of the book until my grandfather found it one day at a local Salvos store for 50 cents! Remembering Superman is my favourite film, he purchased the book and gave it to me when I saw him later that evening. I still remember my jaw almost hitting the floor when he gave it to me.

Superman: The Music boxset

A 12-disc release of the music soundtrack to the Chris Reeve Superman movies (and the Ruby Spears Superman toon). It was expensive, but worth every cent. I'm a fan of the music from the Reeve Superman films (the music from the first film is my favourite soundtrack of all time), and getting complete soundtrack releases of all four films was a dream come true.

Masters Of The Universe soundtrack (La La Land Records release)

This is a prized possession of mine because I was one of the lucky 150 customers to get a copy of the soundtrack signed by composer Bill Conti.

Similar to Goki, my prized 'possession' would have to be my daughter and my soon-to-be daughter / son.

However, to answer the topic of this discussion, I would have to say (in no particular order) -

My personally signed Slipknot and Skinlab posters
Framed / signed Steve Young photo (he's a now retired NFL player for those that don't know)
My collection of Fighting Fantasy novels
Framed / signed Steve Seagal photo
My Mortal Kombat II collection (rare books / musik CD's / figures)
My metal CD collection and concert ticket stubs
Mint-in-box SNES and games (Mortal Kombat 1-3)
Supernatural DVD collection

...that's all I can think of for now.

Not counting my wife and my dogs ('casue they ain't possessions) I've got a few things that I really enjoy owning.

I have;

a Blood Duster collection that is probably the only one of it's type.

a few first release books by Irvine Welsh and Martina Cole that are signed.

a lot of Verotik comics, all lines complete, many variant covers, some signed.

huge music collection including extensive collections of Ozzy, Sabbath, Danzig, Pantera, Sepultura, Soulfly, Mindsnare etc etc

fully signed Soulfly poster from '99 (I think?) including gloria's signature. She is Max's wife and manager and is considered one of the major reasons for Max leaving Sepultura.

autographed stuff by Fear Factory, Ozzy, Bill Ward, Sepultura, Misfits

I didn't realise that there were so many metal fans on this board. This is awesome!

This blood duster album has a very rude name. It's about half of my vinyl copies.
