A friend of mine in the UK sent it to me. I have seen Tooth Tune toothbrushes in TRU here as well, although I don't recall seeing the Transformers one.

Received the ROTF Easter tin today. See here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=150698&postcount=1) for a pic (too lazy to take one myself).

I'm more excited about the tin that the chocolate inside. It will make a perfect container for all my loose accessories.

Here was my Holy Grail purchase - Soundwave.

It has taken me around 8 months to find him. I ended up buying him from EBAY from some fella in the UK. DHL courier delivery of $40! But well worth it.

He even gave me 20% off and his mum came to Brisbane from Sydney for Easter so I picked it up from here. I bought 12 TF statues in total .

The company who makes these TF statues are called Palaisades. They are not longer in business in the USA henceforth sourcing these are difficult if not impossible. They last made them in around 2005/2006.

I imagine I would have saved a fair bit on postage!!!!!!

In the purchase were two little rare ones - Laserbeak and Ravage. As you can see they are very small. These two TF belong to Soundwave and in the cartoons they were cassettes. The cool thing with Laserbeak was you can take him off his little stand and attach him to Soundwave's arm.

I used to prefer Diamond Select Toys statues, but I have grown pretty fond of the defunct Palisades statues now.

Today I got legends wheelie from Woolworths for $2. :)

It was so new, along with "armor prime", and some others, it wasn't in their system, but was advertised as $6.xx, $2 off, they sold it to me for $2. Sweet. :)

But then I went to msy and blew $1390 on a new asus n61ja laptop. :) Yes, with blu-ray too. :)

I went on a Cybertron/Galaxy Force binge at toystores today - partied like it was 2005. A Voyager, Ultra and Leader, all battery operated and all fantastic for just $83.99. Geez this was a great toyline - so much better than the couple that came before and afterwards. No Mini-Cons, well-designed toys, good gimmicks. The only annoyance is keeping those darn Cyber Planet keys when they're not plugged in. I love the Universe homage to RiD Bruticus - a great profile and concept finally gets a good toy. This is my second Crumplezone in the same colour - he's still simplistic fun and good for rolling across a table or floor. And I'd only owned the Hybrid Style version of Galaxy Force Optimus Prime before, so I was surprised that the (very simple) base mode wasn't on the instructions (it's in the Hybrid Style ones). I've pictured it below - it's the reason the wings can fold outwards - the toy doesn't use that joint in any mode other than this base mode:

Not too bad then, as it works out to be $50 worth of free toys, after spending $90. :)

Knight Morpher Commander arrived today from robotkingdom.

Awesome mold but ridiculously tight joints. I had to loosen up some of the screws to make the double-jointed elbows move smoothly.

Now that I've bought mine, I bet that they will release a re-paint with more cartoon accurate G1 colours or something...

Via the 'bay. Very happy with him. The orange/yellowy tint of his arm stickers is due to the red-eye reduction thingy on my camera - although this doesn't seemed to have worked on Sixshot himself. :D

Crazy Devy parts :D. 5FDP already put in the link in his reply :), it is sweet as. The plastic quality is really good and colors match very well. Ive only got the hip/thigh part, didnt order for the head and hands yet. BUt, I think I will, they also came out (or ewill be coming out) with a superion upgrade head ( just some light up feature - no biggie). Got it from BBTS.

@dirge - thanks! if only I knew you were gonna sell, ah well bought that 6 months ago anyways had these babies in my pile of loot :o:p

Got my MOSC Micromasters from Jgon yesterday, so nice. Only bummer thing is some of the wheels have rust on them and some with white powder (which Hursticon alluded to electrolosis)

Yeah, he does look a little MOSC, but he isn't. The bubbles are actually not firmly attached to the card, in fact, I think the glue so dried up that the bubbles just detached themselves from the card without causing any tears or damage to the card (which is really great).

I'll check assortment number when I get home tonight. Do you suspect anything suspicious with the piece?

Unfortunately yes. The Constructicons were recently KO'd on individual cards (as opposed to the giftset that we all know about) and the main difference between those and authentic G1 carded Constructicons (including the Chinese reissues) is the absence of the ASST number on the front of the card.

It was on a purchase receipt from when I bought Shadow Command Megatron the week before. It had the condition of requiring a purchase of at least $100 of regular priced items, and expired on the 6th. When I used it on the 6th, I got another one on that docket, but still had the same expiry date, so appeared to be a limited time offer with no explination of how it was earnt.

Hmmm... I suspect that you may be onto something. I thought it slightly odd that the bubble did not fit Hook correctly and that's not something that should happen because I had a Hook when young and it was fine.

(would be a b*tch if it were KO, since that would set me back re completion of G1 1985, damn!).

I got him at a good price because he was missing his removable front lens (which luckily enough I already had from a previous group of random accessories :D)

Been lazy the past few months so here is the rest of the stuff I have got.

MIB Takara Blacker and 3 Micromaster bases (still in plastic) from ebay seller in NZ.
Complete Bristleback from bruticus which completed Monstructor and now is doing the John Woo two hand gun moves :D and finally stamp set from HK which came from RK when I did a large order in January.

We actually had a licensed Transformers showbag this year for the first time in 6 years. You can choose between an Optimus Prime or Bumblebee bag - I chose the Optimus Prime bag.

It comes with:
+ Backpack (which serves as the showbag itself - they give you the backpack and everything's inside it)
+ Pencil case w/ 3 Transformer pens
+ Beanie. It's reversible - black Bumblebee or blue Optimus Prime. The Optimus Prime side looks better, but the silly thing is that it has all the tags sticking out on that side, which makes it look really obviously inside out (-_-)
+ Activity book
+ WRISTWATCH! It projects an image of Optimus Prime! I'm really happy about this considering that I've been waiting 12 months for Jayjays' watches.

I also found a pair of Transformers cufflinks from another stall (in the fashion pavillion).

I also saw a dude wearing a blue T-shirt with G1 Blaster's box art on the front. I paid him a compliment and he returned in kind. I later saw a dude wearing the black TF jacket with gold Autobot insignia from Jayjays. I paid him a compliment and he ignored me! <sobs> :p

60 New, pretty happy with that. I haven't been collecting busts apart from a small Megatron head one that was a cheap pickup but I like them and I bought this Jetfire because well its Jetfire. Cool that he is a limited 1000 run. The Megatron head is 1/2500.

Ravage definitely looks like a Henkei release, bling it on Ravage.

Quality wise it good if i had to be picky the paint apps could be a little better but that doesn't bother me he awsome
Its hard to describe but he made of soft-ish plastic like on childrens toys if you push down on it it will move.
The arms move, but for some reason when you move 1 are they both move together, the legs can only move left and right at the hip.

Still its a incredable toy to have and will now be the center of my collection :D

Now all you need to do is customise it so it has a truck mode ;)

lol, that might be a little tricky, but i guess it would be possible with a lot of mods and casting

And oh yea after i took the pics i found his smoke stacks in the box :o so will post more complete pics in Grapple's Creative Stuff and Collections thread sometime tomorrow

SWEET, ive been waiting for Bludgeon for ages, will go tomorrow and hopefully get one :D

WOW that's gotta be some BIIIIG box rampagesss coz I saw it in person back in one of the shops in Phils. Its about the size of a 5 year old. That would be really great to stand in front of your collection room greeting everyone! How much did it set you? postage cost?

Yea the bix is pritty big, and the figure itself is awsome!

i couldn't find this on Robotkingdom, i have only seen him sold at Gardenvale for 2K , if you feel comfortable can you please tell us you paid?? :)

is this the one that comes with speakers?

Yes its the head with the speakers, also after i bought him off robotkingdom they then changed the site and made him out of stock, so i think i bought there last one.

As for price i paid about $470.00 AUS. And when you consider that BBTS wanted $450ish US for the figure not including postage:eek: , i think it was a good deal and in the end i am happy with him :D

Small parts on Transformers aren't a problem so long as they're not projectiles. Since the Insecticons don't have any missiles their parts/accessories aren't a problem.

That's a pretty good price! I'd probably be an owner of one too for that much... it's a shame that it doesn't transform though, that's the only thing that goes against it, but a nice display piece nonetheless (if you've got the room that is :p )

Nice mate... I've been toying with the idea of getting one in Chicane Yellow, but am holding off since it appears I might get one as a company car (hopefully!)

For anyone who may not know why Transformers (and all toys that pass through US safety laws) aren't allowed to have small projectiles:

+ 31-12-1978: a four year old American boy, Robert Jeffery Warren in Atlanta, swallowed a 3cm projectile (missile) from a Mattel Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper toy. The projectile was lodged in the back of his throat and his parents were unable to grab it properly to pull it out. As a result the child choked to death. Mattel recalled the toy. The boy's parents sued Mattel for US$14,000,000.

+ 27-02-1979: Advocate group 'Action for Children's Television' petitions the U.S. government to regulate toys that fire projectiles, pointing out that there were over 1000 reports of children being injured by projectile firing toys and one resulting death in the previous year.

+ Under current U.S. law a toy with a projectile launcher must either:
1: have weakened spring action launchers (the force must be insufficient to lodge the projectile into the back of a child's throat), or...
2: if the launcher is not weakened, then the missile must be longer than a minimum length. The general rule is that the missile must be longer than the length of a standard camera film container (70mm??). A longer missile means that if the missile does become lodged into the throat, it's easy enough to grab the missile and pull it out quickly

This is why:
+ In G1 all Transformers' projectile launchers (for missiles, fists etc.) were intentionally weakened. Take any original G1 toy (e.g. Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Mirage etc.) and push the fire button. The projectile doesn't fly very far (if at all)
+ Later Transformers that did have powerful launchers had long missiles, e.g.: G2.
+ Takara(TOMY)'s reissues have small missiles and powerful launchers, but their toys are explicitly labelled "For Ages 15 and Up."
+ Hasbro's reissues don't exclude children, thus they either have lengthened missiles (e.g. Optimus Prime, Seekers) or powerless launchers (e.g. Red Alert, Hoist).
+ Some of Takara(TOMY)'s "cutesy" toys with small parts (e.g. MyClones) have a special chemical in the paint that is intentionally designed to taste bitter to infants, inducing them to spit the part out if placed in their mouth.

Ebay'd a ROTF Deluxe Chromia, just got it delivered yesterday. I like the vehicle mode but the robot-mode has mild trouble keeping its form. Chromia's chest is formed by two parts from either side of her body that plug into each other but one of the sides has the giant gun-arm that tends to bring down her weight to one side, thus trying to seperate her chest parts. Other than that it's a great fig.

Yeah it's fine mate, I'm not that particular when it comes to stuff that's MISB (as long as the box isn't dented or crushed is fine for me) :D

Is that big Cykill ( deluxe size) or just plain regular small cykill fatbot. Big gobots are fun and full on diecast:D. I got one as well as Leader 1 too.

and pics... Got really lucky - wreckgar is the last G1 fig Im after. I mentioned this to my co-worker who had Tfs as a child and mentioned he's give me his Wreckgar - not the best condition he says. and missing accessories. I certainly dont mind I told him as its free. he's a junker basically but hey, hr's free and it gives him that "junkion authenticity";) to him so Im quite happy. I just need to find the front wheel and Axe and he's ok. whew! G1 IM done!!!:D:D

The Small repaint version, i reckon he looks cooler then the red and white original.

Anyway I had to go out yesterday to pick up an adaptor for my internet cable to plug it into the phoneline. Went to Kmart around 7pm (I love the late hours they are open :D) and decided to stop by the toy section. I caved in and finally bought ROTF Brakedown. I likes it.
