Very nice. Clench made my jaw drop. (Although presumably he'll be de-electronicised.)

Although the fake version may be even more cool:

And Paulbot - this means WhiteMocha has gotten at least one of his BotCon 2010 designs realised so far. Two if Sky-Byte is Energon Sharkticon:

That Turbofire would be an awesome toy Icy.

Hasbro have easily gotten their money's worth on the classics Prowl mold!

If Clench looks like the artwork, he should be fairly interesting in toy form.

agree that Turbofire does look good here.

Yipee!! I'm loving this theme heaps with Pyro (aka Sparks) and Clench - two of my childhood G2 toys being brought into the modern world through Botcon. I was always disappointed when I was young that such great figures did not have any tie-in fiction (cartoon/comics) at the time.

Streetwise looks a bit bland though :(

If I was ever to get the boxset I'd only want Sparks and Clench!

Looks terrible!

By which I mean G2 accurate. :D

I saw it too, that the BotCon (http://www.botcon.com) website has also been updated completely, with info, Boxset pics, other details (nothing on guests yet) and a 'coming soon' spot for online registration. (any day now I guess)

Well, I was sure that Streetwise would have a non-Gen2 colour, as a Gen2 Sideswipe would look too similar (both are black and red in the same way). Maybe Sideswipe, an easy redeco, is not a surity now...

That website looks fantastic now and the art for Spark & Clench is so very very good. The Tankor prank was good, Ive been entering in image addresses too because I couldn't wait to see the rest of the figures :D. So long as the website can handle the load when rego opens (and they have made enough sets), Botcon organizers might be copping less rage this year.. eh, who am I kidding.

The BotCon website has been updated to change the name of Streetwise to Streetstar.

http://www.botcon.com/BotCon10/con10stwise-preview.cfm

Not sure why they changed it a day after putting up the preview, or if it wasn't meant to say Streetwise to begin with. Also, there is no word on why they couldn't use 'Streetwise' to begin with, or just call it Autobot Streetwise. Maybe the name is related to the story, as the name Streetstar is the name of the JP Guardcity redeco.

If Clench ends up looking half as good as the artwork, I'm sold.

The more info about this set that comes out, the more I want it but just the thought of how much it will cost on the secondary market is making my wallet cry. :(
Looks like I may be living on instant noodles for a few months. :D

I guess I am glad to have missed G2 entirely during my teen angst years, because these characters and colours do nothing for me, thankfully (from a financial viewpoint). Streetstar is the only non-fluro guy, and gone the extreme opposite, achieving uBer blandness. And Hasbro thinks that blue 'window paint' matches the transparent blue plastic how? He's basically Classics Silverstreak minus the silver/grey highlights. No envy here, but I'm a sucker for nostalgia, so I'm not knocking anyone who did survive, erm, enjoy G2 =o)

No... fracking... way!

That's awesome.

If this is for BotCon, Slicer isn't G2, though, so I presume they're releasing Shattered Glass Wheeljack:

(Either as a 'delayed' character like last year's Razorclaw, unless he hops universes like Cliffjumper or Bug Bite, or as a store exclusive. Or - judging by 'Sky-Byte', maybe the OTFCC just has a strange idea of what 'G2' means.)

Apparently the GIJoe convention is on this weekend in America, so the organisors are not likely to be updating anything for the TFs convention while they are all away until May 4th. Their online store mentions that nothing will be posted out until after that day - so it is probably unlikely that their TFs registration will be up before then either.

They've sent an email out saying they want help with the online rego. Mainly wanting people to do the walkthough and give feedback i guess, but i can't be buggered today.

Tested out the system (http://www.eventman.com/login.cfm?eid=21). It only gives 8 minutes to complete the entire thing before 'timing out' (which may be in the final version), so be sure you aren't on a slow connection, and be sure to have everything handy (credit card, add-on features/events already decided).

My connection cut out after the billing info page, but hopefully that was meant to happen on the test version (it was mentioned that it wouldn't be able to process payments yet, so told to use a fake card number).

Tried it again, and it went to the confirmation page this time (won't be happy if that error happens when I try to register for real). Any similar processing error requires resubmitting or ringing them up - which is further delay and could even see double-billing.

I noticed that they are slogging people $10 processing fee... That may be to pay for what it cost them to have the website set up, but it would generate over $10,000 each year - beyond this year, it'll be just be added profit.
And it automatically charged me $40 shipping, despite being an attendant. Hope that is an error as well.

They suggest that the registration system will be up within a week... we'll see.

While I work in the IT industry, web pages are not my strong point. But surely it can't be this hard.
