So.... what are your thoughts on the watches Goki? $25 seems a bit rich.
They are a bit pricey considering that the Transformers Whizz Watch costs $30, and of course that watch is a remote control for a toy car (Bumblebee). But there are some cool things about it, such as:
+ The watch I got actually detaches and transforms into a robot! Much like the old "Chronoform" toys from Microman. :)
+ This is the first time I've ever purchased a TF watch with an _adult_ sized strap!! :o

As for me, I went out hunting for Bludgeon today. I didn't see any of him, but I did find Skystalker, who I've been after for a while, and picked him up.

He is really cool. I know someone will probably have done this, but the mould is screaming to be repainted into a movieverse Shockwave.

Sadly Ive got 2 packages (REGISTERED) who are incognito atm from the UK. been waiting since late last month but Auspost is saying its due that volcanic eruption which wreaked havoc to the postal transfer system, :(. Sigh patience patience again. at least its registered so hopefully itll be here in 2 weeks time

Henkei Astrotrain is awesome. I bought the Hasbro release before they (TakTom) announced the Henkei range and I kinda wished I had known because his colours are so much nicer and G1'ish than Hasbro's version.

I blame Hasbro for that - Nothing really interesting so far this year aside from third party kits. The third party kits are really the only thing holding my interest at the moment as Hasbro has virtually nothing worthwhile.

There is a couple of decent Generation and WFC figures later in the year but they are too few to really sustain collecting interest.

I live in hope that a Classics Rhinox will be released and that Takara Tomy would re-release it with a good color scheme as chances are high that Hasbro will stuff it up as they did Dinobot.

Soundblaster, from your pics of the Devy set, there seems to be differences in color of the plastic, is it just in the pics or it is in the flesh as well?

My Constructicons also have such color differences. I have seen pics around the web and this seems normal.

I am also pretty sure that my Constructicons are not KOs since I bought them loose at the Parra Fair one by one. All of them had play and age wear which I had to fix/restore.

Na they are definatly legit originals guys , no doubt about it .. All have the proper takara/hasbro markings... So im quite a happy camper :)

You can tell that the box is legit too which makes it all the more impressive (considering its condition).

The only Devastator giftset that had the grey boarder on the left-hand side of Devastator was the Kidi Toys version; however there are noticeable differences between yours and the KO box to suggest it's not fake.

BigPenney: Oooh! Is that a whole new manga or collected reprints of the catalogue mangas? While the Henkei catalogue stories were quite child-oriented, I did enjoy the more mature Stargate Battles manga from Tsushima. I'd like to see a Henkei manga in the same vein. :D

Collected these from concierge yesterday - 2 large boxes (Scrapper for scale) and one small box. These boxes contain Dinoking MIB, an assortment of Micromasters and from Canada, Skyhammer MIB, Octopunch MOC and Pincher MOC.

I got my Skyhammer MIB, Octopunch MOC and Pincher MOC from a seller in Canada. I paid C$70.97 for shipping, he shipped it on 6 March 2010 and I received it on 14 May 2010. I knew shipping from Canada takes some time, I never imagined that it really does take half a lifetime to arrive. Still, I'm glad that they are here.

My assortment of Micromasters from a seller on the TFW2005 boards. So glad to have gotten 3/4 of the Air Patrol (and Blazemaster with his 'copter blade), perhaps the most difficult Micromaster Patrol to locate. My last 1/4 of the Air Patrol is on its way from the States...

Okay, so I didn't open these last night, how could I have resisted? I'm waiting for my wife to return home and will open them together with her.

Oooh! Is that a whole new manga or collected reprints of the catalogue mangas? While the Henkei catalogue stories were quite child-oriented, I did enjoy the more mature Stargate Battles manga from Tsushima. I'd like to see a Henkei manga in the same vein. :D

It's the collected reprint of the first 6 chapters of the Henkei! Henkei! comics from Comic Bun Bun.
It's meant to be set in a different continuity to the comics that came with the Henkei toys.

It's here. And I have opened it. One of the rarest of the rare combiners... Dinoking.

The giftset box is very impressive in terms of size and weight. It's actually larger, thicker and heavier than the Liokaiser and Raiden giftsets.

The Fansproject City Commander is impressive, but I have two niggles with it. Firstly the waist shield bit falls off easily, and the hole on the left shoulder for mounting one of the guns is very loose. Otherwise impressive bit of kit, and probably will get the weapons upgrade kit and extra stickers for it.

I was patient with these because they are C9.5 near C10 pieces all unplayed with and pretty sweet. But yeah, its a long wait. So long I almost forgot they were on the way!

Lordy you have to push the crotch part a bit so it snugs the base figures crotch part as well, thats how it stays in place better otherwise yeah it will always fall off. The hip plate is designed to snug there like a jockstarp:p pardon moi if this is offensive. but yeah thats how it is.

yeah I almost didnt want to open mine when I got it:) good thing the plastic shell slides off - good ol Japanese packaging, unlike the US version were you have to cut the stickied bubble off the board and thereby ruining it.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know how much pressure to use on the waist bit, just incase it broke.

I tried the BFG for a moment, but I think it is a little over the top for the model. I think he looks great with the standard Classics UM weapons in his hands.

Yeah, Air Patrol is tricky to find, especially Blaze Master's copter blades. I think its just a little obscure and the name sounds so like the Decepticon air Strike Patrol...

The Skyburst set isn't as good as the Bombshock set. The limbs are a lot more difficult to plug in (especially the grey jet), prompting me to extending the limbs so that they could then plug in.
The feet aren't flat, making it very unstable. The toy keeps falling backwards, while Bombshock keeps falling forward.
Still looking forward to the 2-packs though, as the Commander figures themselves aren't too bad, if they were just released on their own as Scouts.

Great stuff klystron! I love Quickswitch as well (mine is missing 1 gun so he's almost there :p) As for Tripredacus, he can take a little bit to put together but is well worth it as well.

Well I've already got the Deluxe figure and seeing some pics of the Legends class made me think: He looks awesome and would look even cooler next to Deluxe ROTF Soundwave!.

I beg to differ, I'd say the Legends Ravage transformation and alt mode are WAY better than that offered for the deluxe rendition of the character. The transformation into alt mode slots together beautifully and isn't overly simplified for this smaller size-class. Out of all the movie Legends toys Ravage is one of the most satisfying and, like Wheelie, is ultimately more enjoyable than their larger counterpart. Rampage is just as good and utterly obliterates his Devastator-Rampage brother in every way (paint, detail, transformation). Fans of the movie Legends...Get these new toys now!!

all up it cost me about $145, but i feel it was worth it
they also had the HFD Scout and Legends repaints of ROTF figures plus PCC 5-pack Aeriealbots
sadly they didnt have Seaspray
they had plenty of each figure so if you want them they should still be there

Well, Legends Ravage would arguably still be oversized even next to Deluxe Soundwave. For Soundwave he has that Ravage missile which is kinda in scale with that toy. But I was thinking that Legends Ravage would be in better scale with Deluxe Bumblebee (for spine-ripping fun!)

With Wheelie I got the Legends and I kept my Deluxe one - and I display the Deluxe in robot mode and the Legends in alt mode. The Deluxe also has some neat features like the changeable logos and the Deluxe alt mode looks better. But with Deluxe Ravage, his alt mode is just epic fail and it doesn't even appear in the film. So if I get Legends Ravage I'm not sure what would compel me to keep my Deluxe Ravage... so I might end up selling it cheap if I get Legends Ravage. :p

Really? In my experience, Magnaboss is the easy one. Ram Horn from Tripedacus, on the other hand, is utter lunacy as combiner toys go. At the time they were released, there had never been a Transformer with a transformation as insane as Tripedacus.

The individual members of Magnaboss are easier (and more intuitive) to transform than Tripredacus (although I found Ironhide kinda tricksy), but I found Magnaboss harder to combine than Tripredacus. Getting Silverbolt/Prowl to sit in Ironhide properly was a pain when I first tried it. I had to keep disconnecting and reconnecting it again to try and get it right!

I've no idea why they went with the Scales they did for Soundwave and Ravage initially, at least this new Ravage will fit better and, dare I say it?, looks cute... :p

Well spotted Goki :D, that is the exact reason why I'm having to perform some minor surgery on both the Duocons. :p

Flywheels: Having to replace his right arm with the arm of a double that I have as the double has the rub sign on it and the one in the pic (Tank Part) doesn't have a rub sign :(.

Battletrap: Having to replace the head with a double I have (Thank you Liege :D) because some one has coloured the visor in with a red texta! :mad:.

The M&Ms pack is a like a blast from the past... They were released mid last year (12 months ago) as a limited release. I'm surprised they made their way to a source (importer) here. That's a great flavour though (I brought back a dozen packs to share, but ended up eating 8 myself :p ). It should have become a regular M&Ms flavour.
Not sure what the other 6 packs were though, as there were only 2 TFs exclusive flavours (a honeycomb snickers was the other I think), so the other 5 packs might have just been regular confectionary in TFs packaging.

Now I want some more...

They came in three bag sizes, and the 12 packs I brought back with me were the 500gm size bags (the biggest size). Yes, I flew back to AUS with 6kgs of M&Ms candy in my bags... :eek:

I'm really over the moon with Gnaw and Blitzwing, they've both been looked after really well which is evident by the fairly tight joints, sticker condition and vacant yellowing. :D

Really, really happy with both these guys, it just sucks that I've completely run out of space to display them so it looks like I'll have to start searching for or building a new display case. :p

Picked up from the post office on Friday, my first Tonka Transformers (http://www.tfu.info/faction/123.htm)- Rescue Roy and Policeman Pete.
One of my collection objectives is to try to at least sample every line of TFs, so I've been looking out for the five Tonka Transformers for a number of years now. They just never show up on ebay (at least, not by name, as most collectors who would know their names, weren't the ones buying these).
When I saw both a couple weeks ago, I managed to get both very cheaply, and when they arrived, was surprised at how big Roy was. It's the size and weight of a Leader Class toy, and comes with electronics too. And I think I paid about $5 plus shipping for it, so I'm very happy.

Nah there's a re-issue set of Landcross Hursticon. I got mine from Robotkingdom last year for about less than $60/set.

He is not expensive. He is a reissue which normally doesn't cost more than $100.

thinking back, that was a very odd period where Takara suddenly decided to reissue "Micromaster" combiners en mass and then classed Landcross as a MM combiner and reissued him too. Unlike the other MM combiners who were reissued in different colours, its great that its in exactly the same colours as the original. Hell, for people who bought Landcross giftsets for exorbitant prices. Till today, hardly anyone will pay more than US$250 for a Landcross giftset in mint condition.
