SOUNDWAVE
GRIMLOCK
DINOBOT
SHOCKWAVE
JAZZ

From May 10 to May 28 (US time), every fan around the world can vote for the character to join Optimus, Megatron, Starscream and Bumblebee as the first five Hall Of Fame inductees.

Visit the Hasbro website (http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/en_US/discover/movie-news/TRANSFORMERS-HALL-OF-FAME-INAUGURAL-MEMBERS.cfm)for all the voting details, and at the bottom of that page is a link to the voting form.
(if you have problems accessing it because it can often redirect to the AUS website - click on visit official site (http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/en_US/), then click on Transformers News at the bottom of the page)

The important bit from the Hasbro website:

Hasbro will also induct five iconic characters into the TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame. Heroic AUTOBOTS OPTIMUS PRIME and BUMBLEBEE, as well as evil DECEPTICONS MEGATRON and STARSCREAM, will be in the first class of robots honored with admission as chosen by Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame internal panel of judges.

In addition, TRANSFORMERS fans around the world may visit Transformers.com starting today and cast their online vote to select a fifth robot to join the inaugural class.

The ballot of finalists was created with input from several TRANSFORMERS collector fan media sites, which conducted their own online polling to ensure the ballot represented the robots that most resonate with fans. The ballot features SOUNDWAVE, GRIMLOCK, DINOBOT, SHOCKWAVE and JAZZ. Fans may cast votes daily from now until May 28. The winning robot will be revealed at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony at BotCon on June 26, 2010.

I had trouble chosing one between Soundwave and Grimlock, but then noticed on the screen after I voted - 'Voting is open until May 28th - you can only cast one vote per day' - which should mean I can vote for the other one another day.
(personally, I think it should be just one vote per 'person' (IP), as the result could be rigged by a committed campaign against the popular vote - like the 2007 Movie competition for a quote for Optimus to say in the Movie, or any number of internet voting campaigns)

I agree Griffin that it should be one vote per person, but I wouldn't be too surprised if some sort of 'shaping' is applied to the votes anyway.

All I can say is that my vote has been cast for the most 'Superior' bot out of all the nominees. :p

:)You must be talking about Dinobot:D

even if it was one vote per ip, im sure someone would find a way around it. there's always a crazy fanatic out there.

my vote would also be between soundwave and grimlock. but one of them will make it into the 2nd class of inductees anyway, so im not going to bother to vote.'

though im not sure what the point of a Transformers hall of fame would be for. will they make 1:1 scale statues? like the 1:1 gundam in japan. That would be sweet. Then they could make a beachcomber one in gold ;)

Well, I voted for Dinobot (as my sig now attests), but I think I may throw a few votes Grimlock's way.

Vote Dinobot! Or Grimlock!

(Just not Soundwave. Please.)

I'll probably vote Soundwave just edging out Grimlock because he is probably slightly more iconic. Like the bloke who does the commentary track for Transformers The Movie says if you ask then man on the street who are the most memorable tf's from back in the day, they'll probably answer "Optimus Prime" and "the guy with the tapes" :)

His voice and unique concept maybe deserve a place in the Hall over a transforming dinosaur which I guess is a bit outside the "blend in with the humans" motif of early G1.

I'm confused about Dinobot though and the inclusion of a category?

I'm confused about Dinobot though and the inclusion of a category?

Why so?

If it's why Dinobot is there, it's because he's popular. Not only that, he was one of the most complex and well-written characters in all of Transformerdom, if not THE most. Also, he pretty much single-handedly ensured that there WOULD be a G1 canon.

(I'm not going to explain further. Just go watch Code of Hero.)

All true,as a character he sure is dull though. But hey it worked for Boba Fett, and all he ever did was look and sound cool and then get killed by a blind man.:D

Vote Dinobot! Or Grimlock!

Maybe...

(Just not Soundwave. Please.)

That I can do!

Ahh I see now - you'll have to forgive me for my lack on interest in Beast Wars.. Maybe :p

If one can vote again everyday, this is simply going to be a measure of who is most committed to voting. I voted for Jazz, but I doubt I'll vote every day!

Yeah, +1. (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:RollForIt_SoundwavescansChip.jpg) Soundwave's like the Swiss Army Knife of Transformers.

When this was first announced I was going to vote for Soundwave but as soon as Dinobot was put up for nomination there was no way I could vote against him. :D

I'm sure it's all just a smokescreen to make Soundwaves induction more interesting.

If only because it would be impossible to make it less interesting.

I still have faith that Dinobot has a chance.

Off topic: Boba Fett didn't die when he fell into the Sarlacc, if you follow Star Wars canon.

I voted for Soundwave.

The results are in and the underbot won... (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/conventions-15/5th-hall-of-fame-inductee-is-170062/)
I'm surprised (and voted for the other guy), but it's a good call IMO.

Yes! All that voting was worthwhile!

I wonder who we can get to beat Soundwave next year...

Well, if I couldn't have Soundwave in the Hall of Fame this year, then Dinobot is definitely the most deserving. :D

It is really awesome I think that a BW character (and probably the best developed BW character IMO) has made it into the 1st class of Hall of Fame Inductees as it really gives the show the credit it is due and breaks the mold of everyone expecting every inductee to be of G1 status.

I think congratulations should also go to Scott McNeil for his outstanding efforts in bringing Dinobot to life. :)

Slag yeah! Dinobot really deserved it.

Some are arguing that Soundwave is more famous among the general public, and should have won. I would counter with the fact that the general public was not the ones who were doing most of the voting on the poll.
