TFCC Punch/Counterpunch Pics

Pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet, someone at TFClub got their hands on the upcoming TFCC Punch/Counterpunch toy, and took some photos of it, including the new head.

My comments: I don't know if it is the final version/production or not, because it looks like to me the allegiance symbols on his robot seems to be stickers, and his head in my opinion lacks/does not have enough paint. Plus the head seems small, still awesome though

The Punch face isn't painted too well (yellow just splashed on, covering the eyes and sides of the head). Hope that's more accurately done on the one I get.
I've said before how I really like the blue, and I think Hasbro would be foolish not to do their own version of Punch/Counterpunch from this mould. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't already considered as a future redeco/remould when they first designed it to accomodate Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. (each time they preliminarily plan a toy, they often outline potential redecos, so that they can see if they need to build the alternative heads/parts for it, or to prioritise redeco fodder, like the Seeker mould)

I'm looking forward to getting mine, and I don't give a toss if Hasbro do make their own, I'd probably buy it too as it might have a better head gimmick.

I am not confident of Hasbro ever mass releasing this toy. The designers may have considered Punch/Counterpunch during the design process of the mold but I doubt that registers with the Hasbro marketing and administrative staff who are the ones who call the shots on what is a good idea and what isn't.

which Takara Tomy had designed themselves doing all the work for Hasbro. If Henkei was still happening then yeah it was possible that the Japanese would do one but that line is finished and Takara Tomy did not do one.

+1! This is like a lucky egg, you'll only find out once you transformed it which is most likely packaged in alt mode like it's predecessors. I also do hope that there'd be more QC on this limited release as this is tagged as an exclusive anyways.

Except that apparently both Punch and Counterpunch have not only the same altmode, but also exactly the same number plate in vehicle mode. And it's personalised for both his personalities.

Punch and Counterpunch have always had the same alt mde though. Did the headmasters (TV) cartoon justify it by having him claim that the other was his brother, or did I imahine that?

I like the look of it. I hope that the sloppy face paint is just coz its a stlen from the factory one. If my proper one has rubbish paint apps like that I will be having a very angry whinge on the OFTCC borads and sending out some strongly worded emails.

Yeah, my point was that it was one thing for them to just transform into the same type of blue car, which was almost plausible - now they transform into the same type of car with the same giveaway vanity licence plate.

And Counterpunch told Wingspan to "deal with my Autobot counterpart. I've heard he's nearby."

Then he turns into Punch and says, "real nearby."

Are there any other transformers (G1 and beyond) that have two robot modes like PCP?

Anyhow, it's great to see a modern rendition of one of my fav characters. If this were a universe deluxe release, I'd probably buy one.

In G1 Doubledealer is probably the closest but one of his robot modes isn't humanoid. A contemporary toy who also has the same 'disguise' mode is Animated Shockwave.

Hopefully Reprolabels will release a replacement number plate sticker.

I have to say that despite me loving the concept of this toy and wanting it very much - It has been somewhat sloppily executed.
