Alternity Starscream out this week - new pics

Apparently due out this weekend in Japan, the next two Alternity toys - Starscream and Skywarp - and some new pics have been posted up here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/toy-images-of-alternity-mitsuoka-orochi-starscream/18719/).

The face looks more like Animated Starscream than Gen1 Starscream, but the flip out wings in car mode could see a Tracks redeco (officially or by fans).

That purple is looking gorgeous! I think it's gonna be Skywarp displayed in vehicle, Starscream in robot for me. Starscream's head sculpt and eyes are interesting to say the least, kinda drawing from Machine Wars Starscream (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:MWStarscream_Toy.jpg) by the looks of it.

I think I'm going to leave my Skywarp sealed and open up Starscream - will try and transplant a head off the Classics/Universe mold onto him I think

Actually, upon seeing close up pics of Skywarp vs Starscream, I think I'll end up opening Skywarp and leaving Screamer sealed... why they didn't use Skywarp's head mold for Screamer is beyond me... :confused:

I too prefer Skywarp's head.
While i'm struggling to rationalise why Screamer has what looks like 4 eyes, i think they gave them different sculpts for a couple reasons...

They saw how much it was appreciated for Bumblebee/Cliffjumper
To build on the 'snake/serpent/orochi' motif for Starscream (since he's more the backstabbing snake than Skywarp)

I do like how they both have the flared sides of their heads..like a snake on a dodgy 80's metal album cover* :cool:

Really? I love the look of them so far (with the exception of Screamer's head mold) and can't wait till my RK order arrives later this week (hopefully!)

I prefer the darker colour of Skywarp, as the white shows off too many seams and joins in the car mode. It's a necessary evil with convertable toys to have those joins, but a clean white colour highlights them as the shadow of the joins shows up a lot more.
I think the dark purple doesn't look 'real' enough to work for me, but it seems that the classic colours of those two characters ends up being their main flaw in vehicle mode. I feel that Thundercracker in a dark 'car' blue would be the best of both worlds - realist car colour, and hides the joins.

Skywarp looks better IMO, SS head is ugly! Waiting for thundercracker, like the new colour scheme.
