Mate, Original Redlines will always be sought after. There's heaps of loose ones on Ebay (some are in quite poor condition but others have been well looked after) but if you search hard enough, you can find MOSC examples starting from $80-90. Hope that helps. :)

Nope, :eek: I know the originals are collectibles. I am just wondering if they continue to be collectibles since I have some more recent ones. :D

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a reissued G1 but compared to an original G1, There's nothing quite like it - period. The exact same thing goes for HW's Redline originals in comparison to reissues.

Nope. Not really comparing. Anything vintage will be highly collectible :cool:
Just asking if recent ones are too. I guess reissues aren't bad if that's what's available and affordable.

The oldest I could find was a 1995 Vampyra (not redline). These are just from shops.

Mate, They're still worth $5-10 each. It seems as though the only HW's worth any money are original Redlines, MOSC Real Riders from the 80's, Collectors' Club limited editions & Convention Exclusives (we're talking anything with limited numbers).

Put it this way - If you're collecting HW's as an investment, You're wasting your money http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn204/Pulse_Warrior/Random/LOL.gif. For me, HW's are just a side-collection for when there's nothing I want on the TF-front. That's what I tell myself anyway... :o

oooh, another colur of the Sting rod II!!!... Gotta search for that one, already got the red and gray colours. :D got some stuff as well, there doesn't seem to be a lot of new stuff I want.. Plus the shelves for HW seem a bit bare...But I did get that Surf bus as well Jazzcomp has coz it piqued my interest. Hmm I don't think he was at the Parra fair, but then I didn't pay attention much to HW until only the last fair so I don't quite remember. BUt, yeah he has a lot of the T-hunts there for $5. He was saying he'll try and get some more but isn't promising anything for next Sunday.

I found the USS Vengeance at a pile on Parramatta Target - you'll find nothing good on the shelves themselves - there is a big pile near the cashier line, you just have to be patient as people where really flocking to it. I'm just lucky I chanced on it as I turned the pile it was there... fast hands heheheh:D:p. There was still plenty of Blue Kool kombi left behind - they were selling it for 3 for $5. . I went to look at the stock in Kmart and TRU - both have scarce stuff on the shelves. TRU in particular have theirs on sale for 4 for $5 so I guess that's why it looks like it's been ransacked. They do however have a big pile next to the shelves but I didn't see anything I wanted from it.

Big W Blacktown. yeah sure erm, Rescue duty please :) There's still plenty of the plow there as well as turbo turret. As for snoopy I left 2 there but the paintjob on those were less than stellar :p.

For my fellow Hot Wheelers I thought I would post this up as I found it quite useful for myself.
On a recent trip to the reject shop I found these containers which are perfect for storing your MOSC cars. They cost $15 which isnt too bad considering most storage container prices. I have been looking for something like this for quite a while since my current method of 'box' doesnt quite measure up. And whilst I do like the idea of wallstacking the fear of dust and where this could fit in my house outweigh it.
You could almost say these containers were made for this purpose and even better it allows for easy visibility. Stacking is also easier than a cardboard box.

Hope this helps someone else out here as well :)

The thing is they put on old stock - 2013 HW instead of 2014. So it'll be tough to see which woolies which stock they put on the shelves.

A few fairs ago they were sold for $20. :( But this Hornsby fair had him priced at $5 plus $6 entrance fee = $11. Your $10 is probably ok. Trev's is better but you spend for fuel and is miss out and look at another location. So you're all good, HP.

I wish Target didn't have this at their sale as the shelves have been cleaned out :(

If you go to Zing they've got a Jack Skellington go-kart as part of a Nightmare Before Christmas miscellaneous box set ($39).
