Very nice but I prefer the Henkei release due to the more subtle and realistic decals.

Otherwise this is pretty cool.

For a cheaper alternative, I like it. I was going to fork out the money to buy the Henkei version, but glad I didn't.

What's with the solid emergency light, my guess is it was cheaper:rolleyes:

I don't understand this 'cheaper' thing. At the time when Henkei Alert was first releases, it was actually cheaper or same price to order them in from HLJ than to buy a local deluxe toy.

True, but when someone like me missed the initial release, the prices shot up passed what I deemed to be a decent price to pay. He is currently up around the $80-94 mark, plus shipping. Serious collectors would pay that, and I am, but severely lacking in funds to do so.

God the decals on this are tacky, but since supply did not equal demand with Henkei Alert its better than nothing.

Also why do Hasbro always feel the need to change the alarm lights from the japanese->american style and then make them completely opaque. That just confuses children even more. "Mommy why doesn't our car have a boomerang on the roof?"

I don't mind it, but I prefer my Henkei one... will most likely pick this one up anyway (along with Generations Thrust) and leave him trapped in his plastic prison for the rest of eternity :D

That only works if your cop cars are lambos.

Cant wait for this guy

with the insane prices for a Henkei Red alert currently, this is a no brainer for me.

Now all i need is henkei smokescreen for a decent price...

Keep in mind they are $10/12 US, which is where the cheapness comes in.

Yeah, local pricing means squat when comparing cost/value of Hasbro TFs to TT TFs. Our local prices are set high, to counter-act dips in the exchange rate, so that they don't have to adjust their wholesale prices all the time. It might sound lazy, but I think it is just to keep retailers happy who are probably not wanting to have to re-calculate their retail prices with every shipment.
While everything is traded in US$, the cost of each item to Hasbro AUS can change dramatically over a short period of time. Just see the last couple months as an example - our toy prices would go up and down like the price of petrol.
