Oh WOW.

I don't think I've been so impressed at the first sighting of two new molds in a long long time. Terradive and Tomahawk will be MINE MINE MINE.

Interesting, Tomahawk and Terradive both look great.
WFC Soundwave looks awesome too.
Not a fan of Red Alert's straight redeco head sculpt, but the folding gun is a nice touch - didn't know it could do that.
Could go a Tomahawk repaint if it was good, the mold looks great for Whirl or Rotorstorm.
Terradive looks sweet, though again I'll wait for the repaint. Really hoping for a Cyclonus scheme.

I even like the Jolt repaint as it looks a better quality, saying that we are only looking at pictures at the moment and we know how misleading they can be colour and quality wise:rolleyes::)

That's some serious airbrushing. That aside, Tomahawk, Terradive & Darkmount all look intruiging. I'll stop short of saying "MUST HAVE!!1!" because it's hard to get past all the photoshop effects.

I havce to say I forgot that Jolt ever existed in the movie. His purpose seems to have entirely been about providing enough energy for Ratchet to fuse Prime & Jetfire togther before Prime's final battle with the Fallen. I think he's even managed to fall into the background of my movie display at home! :D

While I know Red Alert's black head is toy accurate (as Hasbro's apparent approach with the Classics releases), having seen what he looks like, I kinda wish they would have done it in red, as I can't help but see Sideswipe when I look at it, particularly with so muc red everywhere else.

Everything but Jolt is bought!


Who wants to take bets on how long it will be until Hasbro repaints Tomahawk as Evac? ;)

Dear god those Generations figures look awesome !!!. :eek:

The HFTD Chopper and Jet look awesome as well, especially Terradive's Trident :D, he reminds me a lot of the G2 Euro Jet figure whose name escapes me.

Aside from the jolt repaint, those 'yellow box' guys are look mighty good. Yeah, I agree the Helicopter guy should be repainted into Rotorstorm and the guy with the Trident into Snare :)

Loving all of the Generation figures but Megatron is the weakest and no interest in Red Alert since I have the Henkei which I think has better decals.

As a quick question, if these Generations figures are supposed to be Wave 3, then what are the figures for Wave 2? as I thought these guys were the Wave 2 figures.

Well I've just had a look at Straxus' (Darkmount's) bio over at TFwiki and it states that he is part of Wave 2, so this is leading me to believe that somebody typo-ed the announcement over at TFW2005 or Seibertron, whichever announced it first.

I think someone messed up. I think earlier reports were saying this was Wave 2. And considering the game is nearly due out, they will want 2 Cons to come out to battle the Bots from Wave 1. And considering we have not seen any other new figures, aside from the new 3, I would say Megs is Wave 2 and has been labelled as Wave 3 by Seibertron.

WFC Soundwave and Red Alert are Wave 3.

If you miss Wave 1 Thrust and Drift, then you cant get them at this stage in Wave 2 and 3

Terradive looks like a Star Wars Crossover, but that is hardly a bad thing, particularly with the awesome trident. Tomahawk is basically the RotF deluxe chopper guy done right, and if there's a Rotorstorm repaint I will buy it without question. I'm going to get Darkmount because, despite having never read a comic with Straxus in it, I love it when original characters from the comics get toys. Now all we need is a Xaaron.

Soundwave and Megatron don't really get my attention (although Megatron's Death Table alt mode is probably the most consistent Cybertronian mode a Megatron has had since 2007), as does the Jolt redeco, because it's just electric stripes on the car mode. I may get Red Alert because I like the mold and I want to support Hasbro for bringing over Henkei retools.

Actually, no. Cybertron soundwave did have the chest/minion gimmick. I don't know what a non-traditional soundwave would fit into. wfc for sure, or movie really.

This is how good I thought Tomahawk and Terradive are: when I first saw them I thought they were the new Generations figures. :o
To me they have better looking hands, arms and faces than most other ROTF/HFTD figures.

To me, not as a G1 Classics. I'd put him in "pre-G1/Cybertron" Classics subset, but to me a classic Soundwave is a tapedeck/communication device of some kind.

But don't let that stop you grouping him where you want.

i think ill be getting terradive, and tomahawk is the only decent looking helicopter for a while, although. a whirl paint job would have done the figure more justice i think.

Darkmount looks great, especially since he is a renaming of Lord Straxus from the old Marvel G1 comics, where he had a reasonably big part in.

I should start collecting the Classics Red Alert, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker to go with my G1 versions.

Generations Red Alert looks different enough from Henkei Red Alert to be worth getting, I think. Hell, you can pretend he's Deep Cover/Clamp Down/Whatever the Sideswipe repaints were called.

Loving this wave of figures, dont know why I thought Darkmount was larger than a deluxe... but it's a good thing, as I can more easily afford deluxes!
